Adarsh College of Nursing is situated on Patiala-Hisar Main Road, Vill Chounth, Patiala, Punjab about 15 KM from Patiala at Village Chounth near the Spinning Mill , Rediant Textiles. Adarsh College of Nursing is one of the most modern and well equipped nursing colleges in Punjab. This college was started in the year 2004 with a vision and determination to provide quality education in the field of nursing. Adarsh College of Nursing, Patiala - Samana Road, Patiala, Punjab is approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, Govt of Punjab, Directorate of Medical Education, Chandigarh, Punjab Nursing Registration Council, Mohali, and Affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab. B.Sc. Nursing:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Admission criteria and Qualification: Candidate must have passed 10+2 with the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Individually and must have obtained a 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Or

Candidate has passed 10+2 examination in any stream other than science and holding 2 years full time regular diploma in a paramedical subject from a recognized medical college only.

Lateral Entry: Candidate is eligible for lateral entry directly into the second year of B.Sc. course, if he/she has passed 10+2 (Science) and holding 2 years full time regular diploma in paramedical subject from a recognized medical college only.

2. Admission Procedure: Admission shall be made as per the merit of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) marks taken together in 10+2 examination. In case of two or more candidates having equal marks in PCB in 10+2 examination, their Inter-se merit will be determined as under:-

i) Candidate having higher marks in Biology

ii) Candidate older in age.

3.Medium of Instructions: The medium of instruction of the course and examination shall be English.

4.NRI: : NRI candidates must obtain Eligibility certificate from the University before applying. Fee for issuance of Eligibility certificate is 200 US$ and Tuition fee is 2000 US$ for full course.

Eligibility Criteria

• Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or on equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose.

• Obtained a certificate in General nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.

• Candidates shall be medically fit.

• Mark list of 10th, 12th and qualifying examination.

• Requisite caste certificate issued by the competent authority, if admission is against reserved category.

Candidate will be selected on the basis of University/ College entrance exam followed by personal interaction.

M.Sc. Nursing:

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

• The minimum educational qualification shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons.)Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

• Minimum one year of work experience after B.Sc. Nursing.

• Minimum one year of work experience before or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

• Candidates shall be medically fit.
