B.Sc Nursing

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada provides guidelines for admission into the 4-year BSc Nursing program under the Competent Authority Quota. Admissions are based on AP EAPCET-2024 ranks. Candidates must follow the online application process and stay updated via https://drntr.uhsap.in for notifications and schedules.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidates must meet the AP EAPCET-2024 cut-off percentile as per Indian Nursing Council regulations for B.Sc. Nursing admission. The qualifying percentile is 50% (OC), 40% (SC/ST/BC/PwD), and 45% (OC-PwD). Applicants must be Indian Nationals, PIOs, or OCIs and fulfill Andhra Pradesh's residency requirements. Both male and female candidates are eligible, with specific colleges admitting males as per G.O.Ms.No.306, HM&FW (K2) Dept., 2006.

Candidates must be 17 years old by 31.12.2024, with no upper age limit. They must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board or Intermediate Vocational with a Bridge Course. OC candidates need 45% in Science subjects, while SC/ST/BC candidates need 40%. English is mandatory. Students must be medically fit.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS IN RESPECT OF CANDIDATES WHOSE DOMICILE OF ANDHRA PRADESH / TELANGANA

The candidate shall satisfy Local / Non-local status as per G.O.P.No.646, Education (W1) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and Presidential order. The procedure indicated in the above G.O. for Selection of candidates as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18-05-2009 shall be followed.

The Non-local candidates are eligible for 15% Unreserved seats only. The Local candidates are eligible for both 15% unreserved seats and 85% local area seats.

The verification fee and registration fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted to a future date. Therefore, candidates are advised to check eligibility conditions thoroughly before applying for Competent Authority seats.

RESERVATION IN FAVOUR OF THE LOCAL CANDIDATES :-

Admission to 85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favor of the Local 646, Edu. (W1) Department, dt.10-7-1979.

State-wide colleges:

Admission into State-wide college, the 36% of OU Region seats shall be distributed among Andhra & SVU Regions as per Merit.

PB B.Sc Nursing

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidates for PB B.Sc. Nursing must be Indian Nationals, PIO, or OCI and comply with Andhra Pradesh residence rules. Both males and females are eligible. Applicants must have passed a Two-Year Intermediate (AP/Telangana) or an equivalent qualification (10+2, NIOS, APOSS) and hold a GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) qualification from a recognized institution, registered with the State Nursing Council. Those who completed a 1.5-year MPHW course are not eligible. Government service candidates must have two years of regular service as staff nurses in the Medical & Health Department of AP by 31.08.2024, with necessary service certificates. The minimum age is 21 years as of 31.12.2024, with no upper limit. Students must be medically fit, and admissions are once a year.

Candidates must pay the registration fee through Indian credit/debit cards or net banking using the Bill Desk payment gateway. The fee is ₹2360 for OC candidates and ₹1888 for BC/SC/ST candidates, including GST, with additional bank charges. The payment is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted for a later date.

After payment, candidates will be redirected to the Dr. NTR UHS registration server to print the receipt. The university does not store credit card details. If payment is successful, candidates must log in again to upload mandatory certificates and complete the application. If a payment link fails, candidates should reattempt the process.

Online Application Process

Eligible candidates must apply online by filling out the application form and uploading scanned copies of original certificates for verification. Applications with incorrect or missing details will be rejected. The university reserves the right to cancel admissions for false information.
