6. Final Submission and Downloading the pdf: Before submitting the online application form, the candidate must ensure that she fulfills the prescribed eligibility criteria to appear in the entrance test and should carefully read the Prospectus to familiarize herself with all requirements related to the submission of the online application. Mere payment of the application fee shall not be treated as successful submission of the application; after payment, the candidate must click the “Final Submit” button and download the PDF copy of the application form. Once the application form is finally submitted and the PDF is downloaded, no entry shall be editable under any circumstances. Candidates are informed that Admit Cards for the Entrance Test will not be sent by post and must be downloaded from the University website or candidate login. No change in category or any other details shall be permitted after submission of the application form. If a candidate wishes to make any correction, she must submit a fresh application form using a new email address and inform AMRU to cancel the earlier application; however, the application fee shall neither be refunded nor adjusted in such cases.
7. Print out of Computer-Generated Application Form/ Confirmation page : No representation beyond the provisions of the Prospectus shall be entertained or replied to; however, for any correspondence, the candidate must clearly mention her Application Form Number, Roll Number, and Name. The official website of the University for the B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test is www.amruhp.ac.in, and all information and updates related to the examination shall be made available only on this website. All matters and disputes relating to the B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test and admissions shall be subject to the legal jurisdiction of the Courts at Mandi only. The candidate shall retain a printout of the online application form and submit the same at the time of counselling/admission, and it shall be her sole responsibility to ensure that correct and authenticated information is furnished in the application form. Application forms not accompanied by fee details or submitted by ineligible candidates shall be treated as incomplete and rejected without assigning any reason. After the last date of receipt of the printout of the online application form, no request for change of category or examination centre once filled shall be entertained under any circumstances. Candidates are permitted to appear in the entrance test provisionally and at their own risk, and the University shall not be responsible if a candidate is found ineligible at any later stage, leading to cancellation of result, merit, or any related consequences. COMMON/ CENTRALIZED COUNSELLING: Candidates are informed that each round of counselling is a separate round and the rules of each round are different. Once any round commences, the rules of that round will apply to all the candidates even if they were allotted/admitted in the previous round(s) of counselling. Once round 2 commence the rules of Round 2 shall apply and the rules of round 1 will not apply. Similarly, the rules of Mop-Up/Stray Vacancy round will apply only on that round.All the candidates will have to compete amongst their own categories/sub- categories. The candidates of reserved categories, if selected by virtue of their general merit against the unreserved seats shall not exhaust the seats reserved for the concerned categories. However, the allotment of seats will be made college- wise depending upon the meritcum-choice of the candidate(s) for the concerned college. Similarly, the sub-reserved categories candidates, if selected by virtue of their merit in main category shall not exhaust the seats reserved for sub-categories.
Round 1: During counselling, candidates must carefully exercise and lock their choices/preferences of colleges and quota by clicking the “Submit” button, as no changes shall be permitted after locking, and seats in Round-1 shall be filled category-wise. The Round-1 seat allotment list shall be published on the AMRU website, after which candidates must download the provisional admission/allocation letter by logging into their accounts and physically report to the allotted Nursing College/Institution with the provisional allocation letter, printout of the application form, and original documents for completion of admission formalities. Candidates allotted a seat in Round-1 may opt for free exit and participate directly in Round-2, while those wishing to upgrade from Round-1 to Round-2 must first physically report at the allotted college/institution with original documents and complete the admission process. Registered candidates who are not allotted any seat in Round-1 may participate directly in Round-2. Candidates seeking upgradation from Round-1 to Round-2 are required to report at the allotted institution and complete all admission formalities, failing which, after the last date of Round-1 admissions, the provisional allocation letter shall stand automatically cancelled, and the candidate shall not be permitted to take admission in the allotted or any other institution on the basis of the said letter.
Round -2 : During Round-2 counselling, candidates shall exercise fresh choice filling and locking of preferences for colleges and quota by clicking the “Submit” button, and are advised to carefully arrange their order of preferences. Candidates may fill choices of colleges, categories, or quota even if such seats are not shown as vacant, as seats may arise due to upgradation or change of colleges by candidates admitted in Round-1; therefore, it is not mandatory to restrict choices only to the displayed vacancy position. Seat allotment in Round-2 shall be made strictly on the basis of merit-cum-preference and availability of seats, and upgradation from one Nursing College to another shall be permitted during this round as per merit and choices exercised. A Round-1 admitted candidate participating in Round-2 who does not receive upgradation shall be allowed to retain the Round-1 allotted seat and category, and allotment in Round-2 shall be limited to available vacancies only, which shall be filled category-wise. Eligible Himachali Bonafide candidates admitted under Management Quota in private Nursing Colleges may be upgraded to State Quota seats in Round-2 against vacant or drop-out seats, subject to merit and fulfillment of eligibility criteria. After completion of Round-2 counselling, unfilled seats from reserved or sub-reserved categories shall be treated as vacant and redistributed as per Prospectus provisions, wherein SC vacant seats shall be filled by eligible ST candidates and vice versa, failing which such seats shall be filled by eligible unreserved candidates, while Persons with Disability vacant seats shall be filled from the General category. SC/ST candidates belonging to other States (non-HP) shall be considered only under the General category for State Quota seats on the basis of combined merit. The Round-2 result shall be published on the AMRU website, and candidates must download the provisional admission letter after login; however, after the last date of Round-2 admissions, the provisional allotment letter shall stand automatically cancelled if admission is not taken. Candidates not allotted a seat in Round-2 may participate in the Mop-Up round, and candidates upgraded in Round-2 shall forfeit all claims to their Round-1 seat, irrespective of admission status. Candidates receiving upgradation or change in category/quota in Round-2 must download a fresh allotment letter and complete admission formalities at the allotted college, failing which the allotted seat shall be cancelled, and the previous seat shall already stand cancelled due to upgradation.
Mop up round: During the Mop-Up round of counselling, candidates shall undertake fresh choice filling and locking of college and quota preferences by clicking the “Submit” button and are advised to exercise due care while arranging their preferences. No upgradation from one college to another shall be permitted during the Mop-Up round by the Counselling Committee; however, upgradation from a Private Nursing College to a Government Nursing College shall be allowed strictly on the basis of merit during this round, and accordingly, candidates may fill choices of seats even if such seats are not reflected as vacant prior to the Mop-Up round. It is clarified that since all remaining seats are filled by converting them to the unreserved category based on merit-cum-preference, category-wise vacancies shall arise only if a candidate allotted a seat under a reserved category fails to join, and after the Stray round of Common/Centralized Counselling, any remaining reserved seats shall again be converted to unreserved as per the counselling procedure applicable to the second round. The Mop-Up round allocation list shall be published on the AMRU website, and candidates must download the provisional admission letter by logging into their accounts and physically report to the allotted Nursing College/Institution with the provisional allocation letter, printout of the application form, and original documents. It is further clarified that after the last date of Mop-Up round admissions, the provisional allotment letter shall stand automatically cancelled if admission is not taken. Candidates who receive upgradation or change of category/quota during the Mop-Up round must download a fresh online-generated allotment letter and complete admission formalities at the allotted college under the changed category/quota, failing which the allotted seat shall be cancelled due to non-admission, and the previous seat shall already stand cancelled on account of upgradation.
Stray Vacancy Round: A separate schedule and rules for the Stray Round of counselling, if applicable, shall be uploaded on the University website www.amruhp.ac.in , and candidates are advised to regularly visit the website, as the Admission and Counselling Committee shall not be responsible for any non-communication in this regard. If State Quota seats remain vacant after the final round of counselling and no eligible State Quota candidate is willing to take admission, such seats may be offered to Non-Himachali candidates only in the event that Management Quota seats are no longer available, and in such cases, the State Quota fee structure shall be applicable. The final eligibility of candidates shall be determined strictly as per the provisions of the Prospectus after verification of original documents by the Scrutiny Committee constituted by the Principal of the concerned Nursing College; however, the responsibility for furnishing correct and authentic information in the online application form shall rest solely with the candidate, and applications of ineligible candidates shall be rejected by the Centralized/Common Counselling Committee. No request for change of category after issuance of the category-wise merit list during online counselling shall be entertained under any circumstances, and seat allocation shall remain purely provisional, based on merit-cum-preference, with the Counselling Committee bearing no responsibility if a candidate is found ineligible at the time of admission, resulting in cancellation of the seat or any related consequences. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Principal of the concerned Nursing College/Institution to admit only eligible candidates in accordance with the Prospectus, and candidates must also ensure their own eligibility, as admission shall be cancelled without notice if ineligibility is detected at any stage. Any incorrect, false, or misleading information or documentation shall result in rejection of candidature at any stage, along with legal consequences and liability for the entire course fee, and candidates reporting with incomplete documents/certificates shall be liable to rejection by the College Scrutiny Committee without notice. The decision of the Director, Medical Education & Research, Himachal Pradesh-cum-Chairman, Centralized/Common Counselling Committee, shall be final and binding, and the Principals of Nursing Colleges/Institutions shall also re-verify eligibility and resolve any discrepancies pointed out by the Counselling Committee before granting admission.

DECLARATION OF RESULT AND MERIT LIST: As per the Government of Himachal Pradesh letter No. HFW-B(B)15-10/2019 (27911) dated 13.05.2024, admission/selection of candidates to the B.Sc. Nursing course shall be made strictly on the basis of merit in the Entrance Test conducted by the Atal Medical and Research University, Ner Chowk, Mandi, for both Government and Private Nursing Colleges in the State. Further, in accordance with the Indian Nursing Council (INC) Revised Regulations and Curriculum for the B.Sc. Nursing Programme Corrigendum, 2022, the minimum qualifying criteria for the Entrance Test for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course shall be as prescribed therein and are as follows:

Before the declaration of results, the provisional answer keys provided by the examiners shall be displayed on the University website, and candidates not satisfied with any answer may submit a representation with documentary evidence to the Controller of Examinations (COE), Atal Medical and Research University, HP, Ner Chowk, District Mandi–175021, either in person or by email at [email protected], within two days or within the period specified in the notification, after which no representation shall be entertained. All such representations shall be referred to a Moderation Committee of subject experts, constituted by the Vice-Chancellor, whose recommendations shall be final and binding, and the Committee shall also have the authority to take suo moto cognizance of any error in the question paper, key answers, multiple correct answers, incorrect questions, or printing errors, and make appropriate recommendations accordingly, on the basis of which the result and category-wise merit list shall be declared as per schedule. The results of all candidates who appeared in the entrance test shall be published on the University website, and no detailed marks cards or separate intimations shall be issued; candidates may view their marks online, and no rechecking or re-evaluation of answer sheets shall be permitted. However, candidates may obtain a photocopy of the OMR answer sheet under the RTI Act, 2005, by submitting a request to the Public Information Officer, AMRU, along with a fee of Rs. 10/- payable by Bank Draft/IPO/online in favour of the Finance Officer, AMRU. In case of a tie in aggregate marks, inter-se merit shall be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Nursing Aptitude, in that order, and if the tie still persists, the older candidate shall be ranked higher. The combined and category-wise merit list of all qualified candidates shall be prepared and uploaded on the University website, and the assignment of a rank shall not by itself confer any right to admission, which shall be granted strictly on the basis of merit, fulfillment of eligibility criteria, verification of original documents, and availability of seats in the respective quota/category at the time of counselling.
Eligibility Criteria:
GNM Nursing: The eligibility criteria for admission to the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course generally require candidates to have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with English as a compulsory subject from a recognized board, securing at least 40% aggregate marks (some institutions may require 45%). Candidates must be between 17 and 35 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year. While Science stream candidates are preferred, applicants from Arts, Commerce, or other recognized streams may also be considered as per institutional or state regulations. Candidates should also be medically fit to pursue the course.
Eligibility Criteria: Admission to the Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing course shall be granted based on merit in the Entrance Test conducted by AMRU, and is open only to female candidates who meet the following criteria: Candidates must be registered as a Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with the Himachal Pradesh State Nurses Registration Council (HPNRC), Shimla at the time of admission. Himachali bonafide candidates who have completed their GNM diploma outside the state must register with HPNRC, Shimla within two months of admission. Candidates from other states must be registered with their respective State Nurses Registration Council and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Registrar of their State Council for pursuing higher studies outside the state. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board/University in India with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks (35% for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Additionally, candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in General Nursing & Midwifery from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or HPNRC.

6. Final Submission and Downloading the Pdf: Before submitting the online application form, the candidate must ensure that she fulfils all eligibility criteria to appear in the test and carefully go through the Prospectus to familiarize herself with all requirements related to the submission of the online application. Mere payment of the application fee shall not be considered as submission of the application; after making the payment, the candidate must complete the process by clicking the “Final Submit” button and downloading the PDF copy of the application form. Once the application is finally submitted and the PDF is generated, no entry in the application form can be edited. Candidates should note that admit cards for the entrance test will not be sent by post and must be downloaded from the University website or through the candidate login. Under no circumstances will any change in category or other details be permitted after submission; however, if a candidate wishes to make changes, she must submit a fresh application using a new email address and inform AMRU to disapprove the previous application, though the application fee paid shall neither be refunded nor adjusted.

Therefore, it will be the entire responsibility of the candidate concerned to supply correct and authenticated information on the online Application form. Application Forms not accompanied with “Fee Details” shall be treated as incomplete and will be summarily rejected without assigning any reasons. The Application Form of ineligible candidates will also be rejected. After the last date of receipt of the print out of the online application form, no request for change of category and examination centre once opted/filled in the application form will be entertained under any circumstances. Once round 2 commences the rules of Round 2 shall apply and the rules of round 1 will not apply. Similarly, the rules of Mop-Up/Stray Vacancy round will apply only on that round. All the candidates will have to compete amongst their own categories/ group. The candidates for reserved categories, if selected by virtue of their general merit against the unreserved seats shall not exhaust the seats reserved for the concerned categories/group. However, the allotment of seats will be made college-wise depending upon the meritcum-choice of the candidate(s) for the concerned college.
Round 1 : Candidates must carefully exercise and lock their choices and preferences of colleges and quota by clicking the “Submit” button, as seat allotment in the first round shall be carried out category-wise; therefore, utmost care should be taken while arranging the order of preferences. The process of Seat Allotment Round–1 includes publication of the Round–1 result on the AMRU website, downloading of the provisional admission letter from the University website after logging into the candidate’s account, and physical reporting at the allotted nursing college/institute with the provisional allotment letter, printout of the application form, and original documents. Candidates allotted a seat in Round–1 may opt for a free exit and directly participate in Round–2, while those seeking upgradation from Round–1 to Round–2 must first report physically at the allotted college/institute and complete the admission formalities with original documents. Registered candidates who are not allotted a seat in Round–1 are eligible to participate in Round–2. After the last date of Round–1 admissions, the provisional allotment letter of candidates who fail to report or do not take admission at the allotted or any other institution shall stand automatically cancelled.
Round -2: For Round–2 of counselling, candidates must exercise fresh choice filling and lock their preferences of colleges and quota by clicking the “Submit” button, and are therefore advised to carefully arrange their choices. Candidates may fill preferences for colleges, categories, or quota even if such options are not reflected in the vacancy position during the second round, as seats may arise due to changeover by candidates who were allotted seats in Round–1; hence, it is not mandatory to restrict choices only to the displayed vacancies, and candidates should fill preferences strictly as per their choice. Seat allotment in Round–2 shall be made based on availability of seats in order of merit-cum-choice, and upgradation from one nursing college to another shall be permitted during the second round of centralized counselling subject to merit, availability of seats, and choices filled. If a Round–1 admitted candidate participates in Round–2 but does not receive upgradation, she/he shall retain the seat and category allotted in Round–1, and allotment in Round–2 shall be made only against available vacancies, which shall be filled category-wise. Eligible Himachali bonafide candidates admitted under the management quota in private nursing colleges may also be upgraded to State Quota seats during Round–2 against vacant or dropout seats, subject to fulfilment of State Quota eligibility and merit position. At the conclusion of the second round, if eligible candidates are not available against the prescribed reservation in any quota (Direct/In-service) or seats remain unfilled, such vacant seats shall be interchanged between the respective reserved categories of the two quotas, and if vacancies still persist, SC vacancies shall be filled from eligible ST candidates, ST vacancies from eligible SC candidates, thereafter from eligible unreserved candidates; vacancies under Persons with Disability category shall be filled from General category candidates. SC/ST candidates belonging to other states (non-Himachal Pradesh) shall be considered only under the General category based on their combined merit for allocation of State Quota seats in Government or Private Nursing Colleges of the State. The result of Seat Allotment Round–2 shall be published on the AMRU website, and candidates must download their provisional admission letters for Round–2 from the University website after logging into their accounts. Candidates should note that after the last date of Round–2 admissions, the provisional allotment letter shall stand automatically cancelled if the candidate does not take admission at the allotted or any other institution using the said letter. Candidates who are not allotted a seat in Round–2 shall be eligible to participate in the mop-up round. Candidates who receive upgradation in Round–2 shall have no claim whatsoever on the seat allotted to them in Round–1, irrespective of whether admission was taken or not. Any candidate who is upgraded or allotted a seat under a changed category or quota in Round–2 must obtain a fresh online-generated allotment letter for the revised category or quota and report for admission to the allotted college accordingly; failing which, the newly allotted seat shall be cancelled due to non-admission, and the earlier seat shall already stand cancelled on account of upgradation. From Round–2 onwards, any candidate allotted a Government Nursing College who fails to join shall not be eligible for allotment of any seat in any subsequent rounds of counselling.
Mop up round: For the Mop-Up Round of counselling, candidates must exercise fresh choice filling and lock their preferences of colleges by clicking the “Submit” button, and are therefore advised to arrange their choices carefully. No upgradation from one college to another shall be permitted during the Mop-Up Round by the Counselling Committee; however, upgradation from a Private Nursing College to a Government Nursing College shall be allowed strictly on the basis of merit-cum-choice. The process of seat allotment in the Mop-Up Round shall be conducted on the basis that all remaining seats would have already been converted to the unreserved category and filled as per merit-cum-preference, and any category-wise vacancy shall arise only if a candidate allotted a seat under a reserved category fails to join; further, at the end of the Stray Round of centralized counselling, any remaining reserved seats shall again be converted to unreserved seats in accordance with the counselling procedure applicable to the second round. The allocation list for the Mop-Up Round shall be published on the AMRU website, and candidates must download their provisional admission letters after logging into their accounts. Candidates should note that if admission is not taken by the last date of Mop-Up Round admissions, the provisional allotment letter shall stand automatically cancelled. Candidates must report physically to the allotted nursing college/institute with the provisional allotment letter, printout of the application form, and original documents for admission under the Mop-Up Round. Any candidate who receives upgradation or a change in category or quota during the Mop-Up Round must obtain a fresh online-generated allotment letter for the revised category or quota and complete admission at the allotted college accordingly, failing which the allotted seat shall be cancelled due to non-admission.
Stray Vacancy Round: Separate schedule and Rule of Stray round counselling (if any) shall be uploaded on the University website www.amruhp.ac.in Therefore; the candidates are advised to remain in touch regularly with the University website. admission and Counselling Committee shall in no way be responsible for non- communication on this account.

DECLARATION OF RESULT AND MERIT LIST: Selection to the Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing course shall be based on the merit of the entrance test, with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 40% for General category candidates and 30% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC, and Physically Handicapped categories; however, no minimum marks criteria shall be applicable for admission to private nursing colleges. Prior to declaration of results, the provisional answer keys provided by the examiners shall be displayed on the University website, and candidates dissatisfied with any answer may submit a representation along with documentary proof to the Controller of Examinations (COE), Atal Medical and Research University, HP, Nerchowk, Distt. Mandi-175021, either in person or via email at [email protected], within two days or as notified, after which no representation shall be entertained. Such representations shall be referred to a Moderation Committee of subject experts constituted by the Vice-Chancellor, whose recommendations shall be final and binding; the Committee may also take suo moto notice of any error, identify multiple correct answers or incorrect questions, point out printing errors, and make appropriate recommendations for declaration of results and category-wise merit lists as per schedule. The results of all candidates appearing in the entrance test shall be uploaded on the University website www.amruhp.ac.in, and no detailed marks cards shall be issued; rechecking or re-evaluation of answer sheets shall not be permitted, though candidates may obtain a photocopy of the OMR answer sheet under the RTI Act, 2005 by applying to the Public Information Officer, AMRU, along with a fee of ₹10 through Bank Draft or IPO drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, AMRU. In case of a tie, inter-se merit shall be determined based on subject-wise marks of the entrance test as specified, and if the tie persists, the older candidate shall be given preference. The combined and category-wise merit lists of qualified candidates shall be notified and displayed on the University notice board and website, though mere inclusion in the merit list shall not confer any right to admission, which shall be subject to verification of original documents, fulfilment of eligibility criteria, and availability of seats during counselling; candidates found ineligible at any stage shall forfeit their candidature. Qualified candidates must attend counselling as per the notified schedule after checking their rank on the University website, as no separate intimation shall be issued, and admissions to Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing courses in Government and Private Nursing Colleges of Himachal Pradesh shall be conducted through a Centralized Counselling Committee constituted by the Government of Himachal Pradesh under the Chairmanship of the DMER, with the COE, AMRU, Nerchowk, as Member Secretary.
