Regional Institute Of Paramedical & Nursing Sciences ( R I P A N S ), College Of Nursing, Aizawl, Mizoram The Bachelor of Science (Nursing) Degree programme was first introduced at the Institute in the year 1996 to become the first nursing college in the state of Mizoram. The course prepares the students to contribute to the development of nursing science through clinical and theory classes, which is based on scientific principles. During the course of B.Sc. (Nursing) at RIPANS, students are exposed to a variety of teaching methods all of which are designed to meet the requirement of Indian Nursing Council (INC) and to ensure that the students acquires a sound knowledge and skills in nursing.

Admission Process

B.Sc (Nursing):

The Bachelor of Science (Nursing) Degree programme was first introduced at the Institute in the year 1996 to become the first nursing college in the state of Mizoram. The course prepares the students to contribute to the development of nursing science through clinical and theory classes, which is based on scientific principles.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

Xeroxed(Attested) copy of each of the following:

1) HSLC, HSSLC mark sheets and certificates (Candidate has to acquire mandatory 45% in PCBE)

2) Birth, SC/ST, Residential, Testimonial, Migration(if applicable) certificates.

Approximate Expenditures (at the time of admission):

Approx. Rs. 8000/- will be required at the time of Admission process.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age	The Candidate should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2018. The Candidates completing the age of 17 years on 1st January 2019 or later will not be eligible. The upper age is 30 years as on 31/12/2018 further provided that this upper age limit is relaxed by a period of five years for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST.
Qualifying Examination	A Candidate seeking admission from a recognized school, with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of 4 subjects including English (Core /Elective), Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided the student has passed in each subject separately.
Basic of Selection	The selection of the candidates for admission to B.sc (Hons.) Nursing Courses will be made on basis of the merit have to appear for the Entrance Exam.
Entrance Test	Entrance Test will be held on as per the venue indicated in the Admission ticket. The Entrance Test will contain objective type (Multiple Choice) items.
Medical Fitness	A Candidate must be medically fit the course.

Other Notifications:

1) Hostel fees & Mess fees will be notified once admission is completed. Hostel stay is Compulsory as per The Indian Nursing Council rules and regulations.

2) List of Items required in and for hostel will be notified after admission.

3) Clinical duty uniforms will be dealt after admission.

4) Candidate can bring straight solid black pant, black belly shoe, black/white T- shirt/top to wear during class.

ADMISSION NOTICE:

It is hereby notified to all interested candidates that admission into B.Sc.(N) course at Mizoram College of Nursing shall be done through SMATEE (State Medical and Technical Entrance Examination)for the academic session 2021-2022.

Criteria specified for B.Sc.(N) Course as per the Indian Nursing Council Norms is given below:

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

2. The minimum education requirements shall be passing of:

Higher Secondary School certificate Examination (12 years course)

Senior School certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examination (10+2)

An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with Science (physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE)

3. Candidate shall be Medically Fit.

Note: The Admission Process is written as per the ordinance of the official Counselling Agency.
