Kurji Holy Family Hospital (KHFH), Patna was privileged to open the first College of Nursing in Bihar. The College is affiliated to the Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU). This new university was established in 2010 and is located Near Mithapur Bus Stand, Mithapur,Patna-800 001. This university grants affiliation only to professional programmes like Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, Engineering, Business Administration and Computer Application. The university gives a Bachelor’s Degree for Post Basic(B.Sc Nursing). The college permits only thirty (30) students per year. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course is of two years duration and only GNM students are eligible. The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has permitted the college to begin a four year graduate programme (Basic B.Sc Programme) from July 2013.The Government is  serious about educating the girls of Bihar and forming them into responsible and committed professionals of Bihar and India. The College is affiliated to the Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU). The College of Nursing is situated in the Hospital campus. The students are provided with facilities such as accommodation , internet , clinical experience in KHFH, practice in laboratories etc.

Basic B.Sc. Nursing 

Eligibility

1. A candidate should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination (10+2). 

2. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having science subjects and English only. 

3. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2. 

4. Candidate shall be medically fit. However, Colour Blind candidates should be considered for admission to Nursing Courses subject to the condition that Colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates. 

5. Candidate shall be admitted once in a year.

 6. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought 

7) The College admits only female candidates for Basic B.Sc Nursing

For Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing 

Eligibility

1. A candidate should have GNM Qualified.

 2. Candidate must complete 6 month of internship. 

3. The Maximum age for admission shall not be Greater than 50 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.

4. Candidate must be registered under any NURSES REGISTRATION COUNCIL and bear Registration Number.

Admission and selection procedure

1) The entrance test & counselling will be conducted at the Aryabhatta Knowledge University Patna. AKU Nursing Admission Test (ANAT) is conducted for admission to Basic B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Program offered at different affiliated college under the Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna. Applications are invited form eligible candidates for admission into Basic B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Program for the Academic Year

2) Admission shall be made strictly in order of merit, i.e. percentage of marks secured by the candidate at the ANAT-2019

* Reservation of seats for the candidates of reserved categories will be as per State Government's rules/ A.K.U. rules for admission in other Degree courses. In any case, the percentage of reservation fixed by the State Government will exceed.

3) Decision of the selection committee will be final.

4) Those who qualify will have to undergo medical checkup for fitness at Kurji Holy Family Hospital, Patna, for which the candidate will have to bear the expenses.

 5) As the teaching is done in English, the applicants should be able to speak, write and understand English.

 6) The candidate will deposit Rs. 15,000/- as seat reservation fee after medical fitness is confirmed which is non refundable. The payments may be made in CASH or by a D.D. in favour of KHFHS College of Nursing, payable at HDFC Bank Ltd. Patliputra Branch, Patna, IFSC Code: HDFC0002643 and through NEFT (National Electronic Fund Transfer) 

7) The Admission granted is provisional until the Migration Certificate is submitted and the candidate’s admission is approved by Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, Bihar. 

Basic B.Sc. Nursing 

Candidates selected by Aryabhatta Knowledge University should bring along the following Original Certificates

. i) Birth Certificate (Only original Secondary School Leaving Certificate will be accepted for the proof of date of birth).

 ii) Mark Sheets and pass certificate of 10th and class 12th or PUC Examination.

 iii) Caste Certificate (SC, ST, OBC).

 iv) Migration Certificate.

 v) Transfer Certificate.

 vi) Shortlisted candidates from the entrance test will be called for the interview and the list will be put up on the college notice board/AKU/college website.

vii) Candidates will have to make their own arrangements for accommodation during the test and interview.

 viii) Final selection will be based on the interview and performance at entrance test, and previous record.

 ix) The College will not entertain any correspondence in this matter

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

Candidates selected by Aryabhatta Knowledge University should bring along the following Original Certificates

 1. Duly filled application form. 

2. Xerox copies of Qualifying Exam and certificate showing Date of Birth. 

3. Mark sheet of 1st ,2nd , 3rd , 4th year GNM / RNRM 

4. The migration Certificate. 

5. Caste Certificate (SC, ST, OBC).

6. The transfer certificate.

7. Xerox copy of Aryabhatta Knowledge University application Form.

 8. Secondary Exam Mark Sheet & Certificate. 

9. Intermediate or its equivalent Exam. Mark Sheet &Certificate 

10. Transcript from the School of Nursing 

11. Diploma & Registration Certificate of GNM (RNRM) Training 

12. Experience Certificate as a Trained Nurse (if any) 

13. No objection Certificate from the last employer 

14. Character Certificate v Any concealed/wrong information given will lead to disqualification at any time. If false statements in the application are discovered after admission has been granted, the admission will be cancelled, and fees paid will not be refunded
