Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts entrance exams like KCET for merit-based admissions in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka to professional courses such as Engineering, Technology, Architecture, BNYS, B.Sc. Nursing, Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), and various Farm Science programs such as B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture, Sericulture, Horticulture, Forestry, and Community Science, as well as B.Tech in Biotechnology, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, and Dairy Technology. KEA also oversees admissions for B.F.Sc (Fisheries), B.Sc. (Hons) Agri-Business Management, B.Pharma, Pharma-D, and Lateral Entry to 2nd-year B.Pharma.

Important Note: Non-Karnataka candidates are required to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by KEA to be eligible for B.Sc. Nursing admissions in Karnataka. However, they are not eligible for government quota seats and will be considered under private or management quotas.
Eligibility criteria for B.sc Nursing
candidates must have passed the 12th standard (10+2) or II PUC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as individual subjects. They must secure a minimum aggregate of 45% in PCB subjects. However, candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC, ST, or OBC categories are eligible with a reduced requirement of 40% in PCB.
Minimum age 17 years (as of December 31st of the admission year).
Non-Karnataka candidates are not eligible for reservation benefits and cannot apply for government quota seats in the B.Sc. Nursing course through KEA.

Experience: 1-year experience in a hospital, nursing institute, or community health (for B.Sc. Nursing Basic). No experience needed for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing graduates.
Registration: Must be a Registered Nurse & Midwife with the State Nursing Council.
