D.E.Society's Smt. Subhadra K. Jindal College of Nursing, a new addition to the DES fraternity, was established in the year 2008. The college from its infancy has grown steadily and the first batch of students of this college have passed out in 2012. It will certainly follow the path paved by the other renowned educational institutions under Deccan Education Society, in instilling civic and patriotic values to the core, besides providing quality nursing education. The college is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Nursing Council, Indian Nursing Council and is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, with the annual intake of Bsc-40 seats.

Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test will conduct counseling for B.Sc Nursing At Maharashtra

Introduction:

Admission to the B.Sc Nursing course in Maharashtra is conducted through the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHTCET) in Government and Private Colleges across the state. Selection is based on merit and the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must be Indian citizens, they should have passed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, securing a minimum of 45% marks for the general category and 40% for reserved categories. Additionally, candidates must obtain at least 50 percentile for Open category in the MH-Nursing CET, while those from reserved categories require a minimum of 40 percentile. The minimum age requirement is 17 years (born on or before 31st December 2007), with no upper age limit.

Additional reservations include 5% for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) (40%-50% locomotor disability of the lower extremity) and 5% for Children of Defence Personnel (Def-1: Ex-servicemen’s children, Def-2: Active personnel domiciled in Maharashtra, Def-3: Active personnel transferred to Maharashtra, with a maximum of 5 seats per college). Orphan candidates get 1% reservation, while 30% of seats are reserved for female candidates across all categories. Minority reservations apply to Jain, Muslim, Christian, Gujarati, Sindhi, and Hindi Linguistic minority candidates in designated institutions.

3. Pay Fees: ₹1000 via online payment.
4. Upload Documents: Submit required certificates online.
5. Appear for Exam: MH-Nursing CET (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
6. Check Merit List: Provisional and final merit lists will be published.
7. Choice Filling: Select preferred colleges online.
8. Seat Allotment: Based on merit and preferences.
9. Document Verification: Visit allotted college with original documents.
10. Confirm Admission: Pay fees to finalize your seat

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc Nursing admission at Maharashtra:

Candidates must be Indian citizens (proof required) with a maximum age limit of 45 years for the General category and 50 years for Reserved categories as of 31/07/2024. They must complete B.Sc. Nursing / P.B.B.Sc. Nursing degree from an INC & MNC-recognized institute, along with registration as a Nurse & Midwife with the Maharashtra Nursing Council (valid till 2027). Additionally, candidates must have at least one year of work experience post-registration. Selection will be based on aggregate marks obtained in B.Sc. Nursing / P.B.B.Sc. Nursing.
