
Divine Grace College of Nursing, Bangalore was established in 2004. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and is approved by the Karnataka Nursing Council (KNC). As part of the Divine Grace Institute of Health Sciences, the college collaborates with a network of esteemed nursing institutions in Bangalore to maintain high standards in nursing education, in alignment with the goals set by the Indian Nursing Council. The college boasts a spacious, well-ventilated library stocked with books, journals, and periodicals. Additionally, students have access to e-books and e-journals through the Helenet facility provided by RGUHS. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). It is held for students seeking admission to undergraduate courses such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Nursing and other professional programs in colleges across Karnataka. KCET provides eligible candidates with a fair and transparent pathway to secure seats in government and private institutions within the state.
As per Government Order No. MED 51 RGU 2023 dated 13-04-2023, candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) must register for CET-2025 through the KEA online portal and appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by KEA in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually in II PUC / 12th Standard (10+2). A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in PCB is required. Candidates belonging to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC categories are eligible with 40% aggregate marks in PCB. This relaxation applies only to Karnataka candidates.
Important Note: Non-Karnataka candidates are not eligible for reservation and are also not eligible for Government quota seats in B.Sc. (Nursing) admissions through KEA.

Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission to the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course generally require candidates to have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with English as a compulsory subject from a recognized board, securing at least 40% aggregate marks (some institutions may require 45%). Candidates must be between 17 and 35 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year. While Science stream candidates are preferred, applicants from Arts, Commerce, or other recognized streams may also be considered as per institutional or state regulations. Candidates should also be medically fit to pursue the course.
Eligibility: The candidate must be a citizen of India and a domicile of Karnataka. The applicant should have passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic), B.Sc. Nursing (Hons.), Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, or Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, or any other university located in Karnataka and recognized as equivalent by RGUHS; the institution must be recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. For SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination is required. The candidate must also have completed at least one year of work experience after obtaining the B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) degree in a hospital, nursing educational institution, or community health setting, completed on or before the date of counselling; in the case of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, one year of work experience either before or after completion of the course is mandatory. Additionally, the candidate must be registered with the State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife and must hold such registration for admission to the branches of Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing.
Government of Karnataka In-Service Candidates:
In addition to the general eligibility criteria, Government of Karnataka In-Service candidates seeking admission to Postgraduate courses in Nursing and Physiotherapy must fulfill specific conditions and must compulsorily appear for the entrance test. An in-service candidate who already holds a Postgraduate degree in any specialty or is currently pursuing a Postgraduate degree shall not be eligible for admission. In-service candidates from Government or Government Autonomous institutions shall opt for PG Nursing seats only in Government Nursing Institutions; however, if seats are not available, they may opt for seats in Private Nursing Institutions as per Government Order No. MED 443 MSF 2022 dated 02.01.2023. Eligibility to appear for PGET is subject to the provisions of the Karnataka Civil Services Rules (KCSR) and other relevant Government rules and notifications governing state services. Eligible in-service candidates willing to apply for M.Sc. Nursing or MPT courses must submit their applications with all required details to the Director of Medical Education (DME), who will forward the list of eligible candidates.

Note: Since the Applicant should upload their photographs in online application entry, the applicant should scan their passport size photograph (Snapped after 01/01/2025 with Name & Date on the photograph) in .jpg format and make available for uploading with the following specifications.
After filling the online application form press SUBMIT button, if you are sure that all the data entered by you is correct. The system will ask for uploading photograph and the scanned photograph of .jpg format file with the above mentioned specification has to be uploaded. An Application Number will get generated and please record it for your future usage. In-service candidates should submit their applications through the concerned Head of the Department and no advance copy will be entertained.
Please note that the candidate will not become eligible for attending the entrance test only by online registration.
Mode of submission of application through online: Candidates must apply online for admission to the above courses through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). While filling the online application form or after completing the submission, candidates should not attach or send any certificates, documents, or papers to KEA in support of their claims. However, at the time of online application, candidates must invariably and correctly indicate the reservation category for which they are eligible. Although possession or uploading of certificates is not required while entering reservation details online, candidates must produce the relevant original certificates at the time of document verification to substantiate the claims made in the online application.

NOTE: The final submitted online application details will be treated as the official data for all further KEA processes. Therefore, candidates are strongly advised to fill the form carefully and avoid mistakes.
First Phase:
Step 1: Candidates should visit the KEA website at http://kea.kar.nic.in and select “Online Application”.
Step 2: Click on “New User? Click Here to Register” on the home page of the online application form. Fill in all the required details in the registration form and submit. After successful registration, candidates will receive an Application Number and User ID on their registered mobile number and email ID, which will also be displayed on the screen. Candidates must then create their own password for further login.
Step 3: A login prompt will appear. Enter the User ID and Password created during registration to log in.
Step 4: After successful login, the Student Information page will be displayed. Candidates must start entering all the required personal details.
Step 5: Once all student information is entered, click Save to store the entries.
Step 6: Enter all the educational/study details and click Save and Next.
Step 7: Upload the scanned images of Photograph, Candidate Signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression, and Parent Signature, then click Save and Next.
Step 8: After completing all entries, take a Draft Printout of the application. Carefully verify all information. If any corrections are needed, candidates can log in and make changes any number of times before selecting the Declaration.
Second Phase:
In the second phase of the online application, candidates must carefully read and understand the Declaration before clicking the Submit button. After submission, candidates should select a bank from the given list, download the challan, and take a printout to make the payment at the respective bank.
Step 1: After completing all entries, candidates will receive their Application ID and Password on their registered email address and it will also be displayed on the screen.
Step 2: Candidates must upload scanned copies of their recent passport-size color photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format. Photographs taken from mobile phones can also be uploaded.
Step 3: Candidates should print the challan, which comes in triplicate. Karnataka-origin candidates must pay the prescribed fee in any branch of the specified banks. The bank will retain one copy of the challan and return the remaining two copies to the candidate. Alternatively, candidates can pay the fees via net banking.
IMPORTANT: If any information provided in the online application form is found to be false or incorrect at any stage, the application may be rejected, the seat allotted (if any) may be cancelled, and the entire fee paid by the candidate will be forfeited. Candidates are therefore strongly advised to provide accurate and truthful information while filling the form.
