B.Sc Nursing

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada provides guidelines for admission into the 4-year BSc Nursing program under the Competent Authority Quota. Eligibility criteria:-

Candidates must meet the AP EAPCET-2024 cut-off percentile as per Indian Nursing Council regulations for B.Sc. Nursing admission. The qualifying percentile is 50% (OC), 40% (SC/ST/BC/PwD), and 45% (OC-PwD). Applicants must be Indian Nationals, PIOs, or OCIs and fulfill Andhra Pradesh's residency requirements. Both male and female candidates are eligible, with specific colleges admitting males as per G.O.Ms.No.306, HM&FW (K2) Dept., 2006.

Candidates must be 17 years old by 31.12.2024, with no upper age limit. They must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board or Intermediate Vocational with a Bridge Course. OC candidates need 45% in Science subjects, while SC/ST/BC candidates need 40%. English is mandatory. Students must be medically fit.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS IN RESPECT OF CANDIDATES WHOSE DOMICILE OF ANDHRA PRADESH / TELANGANA

The candidate shall satisfy Local / Non-local status as per G.O.P.No.646, Education (W1) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and Presidential order. The procedure indicated in the above G.O. for Selection of candidates as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18-05-2009 shall be followed.

The Non-local candidates are eligible for 15% Unreserved seats only. The Local candidates are eligible for both 15% unreserved seats and 85% local area seats.

The verification fee and registration fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted to a future date. Therefore, candidates are advised to check eligibility conditions thoroughly before applying for Competent Authority seats.

RESERVATION IN FAVOUR OF THE LOCAL CANDIDATES :-

Admission to 85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favor of the Local 646, Edu. (W1) Department, dt.10-7-1979.

State-wide colleges:

Admission into State-wide college, the 36% of OU Region seats shall be distributed among Andhra & SVU Regions as per Merit.

GNM Nursing

The Director of Medical Education, AP, Vijayawada invites online applications from eligible male and female candidates for admission into the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course for the academic year 2024-2025. This is a three-year program, including a six-month internship, offered at both government and private nursing schools across the state.

Eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:

• 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However, Science is preferable.
• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council
• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre
• Registered ANM with pass mark.

SUBMISSION OF ONLINE GNM ADMISSION APPLICATIONS

Online admission Application form is available in the Director of Medical Education, A.P., Vijayawada official website i.e., http://dme.ap.nic.in and the same is available from 13.09.2024 to 25.09.2024. Follow the below given steps for submission of online Admission application.

Step: 1 Pay registration fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) through a Government challan through website: https://cfms.ap.gov.in/ > Receipts Link > Citizen Challan Creation > crediting to the following Head of Account.

Step: 2 Log on to DME Official Website i.e., http://dme.ap.nic.in for online application form. Fill up all the mandatory fields (*) as per the instructions given in the online application and press submit button.

Step: 3 Download / Print the filled in application form and submit the same with necessary enclosures as per the details noted in the application form. The downloaded applications should reach the Superintendents of the Hospitals concerned on or before 25.09.2024 by 5.00 PM. The Department will not be held responsible for any postal delays for non-receipt of applications on or before the stipulated date i.e., 25.09.2024 by 5.00 PM.

The local candidates belonging to the Districts mentioned under column 1 below should send their applications to the School of Nursing attached to the hospitals mentioned under column 2.
