UP Nursing Admission Important Dates 2024

B.Sc. Nursing Course (4 Years) 

Examination Fee:- Candidates for the entrance test will have to pay a fee of Rs. 3000/- for Unreserved/Other Backward Classes (UR/OBC) and Rs. 2000/- for SC/ST/PwD.

Eligibility Criteria Age: -

1. Minimum age for admissionis 17 years on or before 31st December 2024.
2. The maximum age limit for admission is 35 years for Unreserved (UR), OBC, EWS, SC and ST, however the maximum age for candidates with Physical Disability (PD/PwD) will be 40 years. (As per INC regulation).

Minimum qualifications for admission are as per INC Regulation: -

1. Candidates with Science who have passed qualifying 12thStandard examination (10+2)and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together and passed in English individually from any recognized board.
2. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in 3 core subjects shall be 40% instead of 45% for General Category candidates.
3. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility for admission in B.Sc. Nursing.
4. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by central government having Science subjects and English only.
5. Color Blind candidates are eligible provided that color corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
6. The selection of candidates will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board appointed by the University.

Steps for Filling Application Form

Step 1: Candidate Registration:

1. Candidates should visit the official website of the ABVMU University - www.abvmuup.edu.in and Click on the Link for Common Entrance Test (CET) 2024-25.
2. Candidates should first register by clicking the “Register > Login > Pay > Fill Form” button for B.Sc. Nursing.

5. Upon successful completion of the registration form, the candidate will receive his/her Registration Id number on their registered mobile number and email address.
6. Information submitted at this stage will be auto filled in the Personal Information Section (Stage 1) of the application form
7. Primary Information submitted during registration cannot be changed or altered at any later stage

Step 2: Login & Fee Payment:

1. Once the candidate has successfully registered, they are required to login into the Application portal by clicking “Register > Login > Pay > Fill Form” button for B.Sc. Nursing
2. To login, the candidate will be requiredto submit their Unique Registration Id Number and Date of Birth to successfully log into the B.Sc. Nursing CNET 2024Applicant Dashboard. The Unique Registration ID Number and Date of Birth should match for a successful login
3. If a candidate forgets their Registration Id number, they can click on “Forgot Registration Id Number” to receive their Unique Registration Id number on their registered mobile number via a SMS/EMAIL
4. Once the candidate has successfully logged into the CNET 2024 Applicant Dashboard, they will have to click on “Pay Fee for B.Sc. Nursing” button to pay the mandatory application fee
5. On clicking the “Pay Fee for B.Sc. Nursing” button, the candidate will be redirected to an Online Payment Gateway to pay the Application Fee Online via a Debit Card / Credit Card/ Net Banking or UPI
6. If payment status is pending, the candidates can manually fetch the latest payment status by clicking on “Get Payment Status” button
7. In case of multiple/duplicate payments the eligible candidates will be refunded the amount in the bank account details provided for refund at the time of filling application form. The latest successful payment will be considered for filling the application form and any old payments will be refunded
8. Candidates will receive a payment receiptupon a successful payment confirmation from the bank
9. Once the payment is confirmed, the candidates will beable to see a “Fill Form” button to fill the application form

Step 3: Application Form Filling & Submission:

1. The application is a Multi-Step form that is only available once the payment has been processed
2. The candidate details are saved at each stage enabling the candidate to review, update or edit the application at anytime prior to final submission

8. Stage 5: Refund Details

Examination:- 

1. Venue: Asmentioned on the admit card.
2. Mode of Examination: MCQs - Objective/Multiple Choice response Questions to be answered on Optical Mark Reader Sheet (OMR sheet) using black ball point pen provided at the Center.
3. Number of Questions: 200
4. Marks: Every single correct response will get 01 mark each. No Negative Markings for incorrect response and/or more than one response.Medium of Examination: English
5. Syllabus:  Nursing Aptitude(20%), Physics (20%),Chemistry (20%), Biology(20%), English and General Knowledge (20%) of Intermediate Standard (Class 12)

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

The minimum qualifying criteria of entrance test to admission to B.Sc. Nursing is as under: 

1. General - 50th percentile
2. General- PwD - 45th percentile SC/ST/OBC- 40th percentile

Result:

• Declaration of results of Entrance Examination will be announced on the official website of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow (www.abvmuup.edu.in)
• The merit list will be prepared from the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination. A combined merit list and category wise merit list will be drawn
• The inter-se-merit of candidates for tie-breaking: In case of two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the CNET 2024 -25, the inter-se-merit shall be determined as follows:

1. Candidate obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by
2. Candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the Test, followed by,
3. Candidate obtaining higher marks in Physics in the Test, followed by,
4. Intermediate (10+2) examination marks percentage (if in case the marks are same the inter merit ranking of individual marks in order of Biology, Chemistry, Physics will be considered).

 To initiate the application process, candidates are required to submit their applications online via the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Department of Medical Health And Family Welfare, accessible at http://dgmhup.gov.in . The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the 10th and  12th-grade examination, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process for admission to ANM and GNM Training Courses. The allotment will be made purely on the basis of merit and candidates' choice preferences.
