Gouri Devi Nursing Academy, Durgapur started its journey on August 2013 under Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management Society by seeing an initiative of Gouri Devi Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital in health care system of Durgapur & its adjoining areas. This College is affiliated to WBUHS(West Bengal University of Health Sciences) and is approved by the Indian Nursing Council. To provide quality healthcare services, there are various statutory bodies regulating education and training in various fields of health care services. JENPAS(UG) will conduct counseling for B.Sc. Nursing admission in West Bengal

WBJEEB conducts the OMR-based JENPAS(UG) exam for admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses in Government and Private Nursing colleges of West Bengal. Formerly known as JENPAUH, this exam is organized by WBJEEB on behalf of the Central Selection Committee (Nursing) under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal. Candidates seeking B.Sc. Nursing admission in West Bengal must appear for JENPAS.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
  • The minimum percentage required is 45% for General category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Candidates must be at least 17 years old

Papers and Ranks

  • Candidates taking both Paper-I & Paper-II get GMR & BMR, eligible for all courses including BHA.
  • Candidates taking only Paper-I get GMR, eligible for all courses except BHA.
  • Candidates taking only Paper-II get BMR, eligible only for BHA.

Pattern of Question Papers

A. The test will consist of two papers, namely, Paper-I and Paper-II.
B. Paper-II is for admission in BHA course only, and Paper-I is for other courses.
C. During application, a candidate can apply for only Paper-I, only Paper-II, or for both.

F. All questions will be of Multiple- Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four answer options. Time for each paper is 1½ hours. The questions will be in both English and Bengali language (except Basic English, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge).

Procedure for Submission of Application Form & Payment of Examination Fees for B.Sc Nursing (JENPAS UG 2024)

Registration:

  • The candidate will enter personal details such as, name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, identification type and number, present and permanent address, mobile number, email ID etc.
  • Candidates must be careful while entering name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, and domicile. This information cannot be changed/edited/modified under any circumstances.
  • Then the candidate has to create password, choose security question/ answer, review and submit the registration.
  • An application number will be generated and will appear on the screen. Also, SMS/email will be sent to the candidate.
  • Candidate must remember his/her application number, password, and security question/answer. If the candidate forgets the password, he/she has to recover it through “Forgot Password” option. There is no other way to recover the password.
  • It is not possible for any person/agency to change/edit/input any information without knowing the password. Hence candidates must not share their password with anybody. The Board will not be responsible for any change resulting from sharing/ divulging of the password.

Application Form:

  • Log in and fill in academic and personal details.
  • Select the preferred examination paper (Paper-I for B.Sc Nursing).
  • Choose examination zones and submit the form.

Uploading Documents:

  • Upload a scanned recent passport-size photo (10-200KB) and signature (4-30KB).

Payment of Fees:

  • Pay ₹500 (₹400 for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS) online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.
  • Fee for both Paper-I & II: ₹800 (₹650 for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS).
  • Payment is non-refundable.

ANM(R) & GNM will conduct counseling for ANM and GNM admission in West Bengal

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Examination– ANM(R) & GNM-2024 for admission in various Govt./ Pvt./ Self-financed institutes in the State of West Bengal for the academic session of 2024-25, for two (2) years’ Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (Revised)course and three (3) years’ General Nursing & Midwifery course in.

Eligibility criteria:-

Students must be an Indian citizen and a domicile of West Bengal. They must have passed or be appearing for the Class 12 examination in the (10+2) system in 2024. Additionally, the applicant must be at least 17 years old as of July 31, 2024, meaning they should have been born on or before July 31, 2007.
