Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Admission criteria and Qualification: Candidate must have passed 10+2 with the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Individually and must have obtained a 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

                                                                                                                                                           Or

Candidate has passed 10+2 examination in any stream other than science and holding 2 years full time regular diploma in a paramedical subject from a recognized medical college only.

Lateral Entry: Candidate is eligible for lateral entry directly into the second year of B.Sc. course, if he/she has passed 10+2 (Science) and holding 2 years full time regular diploma in paramedical subject from a recognized medical college only.

2. Admission Procedure: Admission shall be made as per the merit of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) marks taken together in 10+2 examination. In case of two or more candidates having equal marks in PCB in 10+2 examination, their Inter-se merit will be determined as under:-

 i) Candidate having higher marks in Biology

 ii) Candidate older in age.

3.Medium of Instructions: The medium of instruction of the course and examination shall be English.

4.NRI: : NRI candidates must obtain Eligibility certificate from the University before applying. Fee for issuance of Eligibility certificate is 200 US$ and Tuition fee is 2000 US$ for full course.

• Mark list of 10th, 12th and qualifying examination.

• Migration Certificate in original.

• Requisite caste certificate issued by the competent authority, if admission is against reserved category.

• Gap Certificate, if applicable

• Certificate of change of name, if applicable supported by documentary evidence like Government Gazette Notification.

• Character Certificate.

• Transfer Certificate or School Leaving Certificate.


Post Basic B.Sc Nursing:

Eligibility Criteria

• Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or on equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose.

• Obtained a certificate in General nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.

• Candidates shall be medically fit.

Documents Required:

• Adhaar Card.

• Certificate of passing the qualifying examination.

• Mark list of 10th, 12th and qualifying examination.

• Migration Certificate in original.

• Requisite caste certificate issued by the competent authority, if admission is against reserved category.

• Gap Certificate, if applicable

• Certificate of change of name, if applicable supported by documentary evidence like Government Gazette Notification.

• Character Certificate.

• Transfer Certificate or School Leaving Certificate.

Selection Procedure:

Candidate will be selected on the basis of University/ College entrance exam followed by personal interaction.

M.Sc Nursing:

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

• The minimum educational qualification shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons.)Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

• Minimum one year of work experience after B.Sc. Nursing.

• Minimum one year of work experience before or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

• Candidates shall be medically fit.

Documents Required:

• Adhaar Card.

• Certificate of passing the qualifying examination.

• Mark list of 10th, 12th and qualifying examination.

• Migration Certificate in original.

• Requisite caste certificate issued by the competent authority, if admission is against reserved category.

• Gap Certificate, if applicable

• Certificate of change of name, if applicable supported by documentary evidence like Government Gazette Notification.

• Character Certificate.

• Transfer Certificate or School Leaving Certificate.

• Experience Certificate.

Selection Procedure:

Candidate will be selected on the basis of University/ College entrance exam followed by personal interaction.
