B.Sc Nursing

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada provides guidelines for admission into the 4-year BSc Nursing program under the Competent Authority Quota. Admissions are based on AP EAPCET-2024 ranks. Candidates must follow the online application process and stay updated via https://drntr.uhsap.in for notifications and schedules.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidates must meet the AP EAPCET-2024 cut-off percentile as per Indian Nursing Council regulations for B.Sc. Nursing admission. The qualifying percentile is 50% (OC), 40% (SC/ST/BC/PwD), and 45% (OC-PwD). Applicants must be Indian Nationals, PIOs, or OCIs and fulfill Andhra Pradesh's residency requirements. Both male and female candidates are eligible, with specific colleges admitting males as per G.O.Ms.No.306, HM&FW (K2) Dept., 2006.

Candidates must be 17 years old by 31.12.2024, with no upper age limit. They must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board or Intermediate Vocational with a Bridge Course. OC candidates need 45% in Science subjects, while SC/ST/BC candidates need 40%. English is mandatory. Students must be medically fit.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS IN RESPECT OF CANDIDATES WHOSE DOMICILE OF ANDHRA PRADESH / TELANGANA

The candidate shall satisfy Local / Non-local status as per G.O.P.No.646, Education (W1) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and Presidential order. The procedure indicated in the above G.O. for Selection of candidates as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18-05-2009 shall be followed.

The Non-local candidates are eligible for 15% Unreserved seats only. The Local candidates are eligible for both 15% unreserved seats and 85% local area seats.

The verification fee and registration fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted to a future date. Therefore, candidates are advised to check eligibility conditions thoroughly before applying for Competent Authority seats.

RESERVATION IN FAVOUR OF THE LOCAL CANDIDATES :-

Admission to 85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favor of the Local 646, Edu. (W1) Department, dt.10-7-1979.

State-wide colleges:

Admission into State-wide college, the 36% of OU Region seats shall be distributed among Andhra & SVU Regions as per Merit.

M.Sc Nursing

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, conducts admissions for the M.Sc. Nursing program for the academic year 2024-25. The admission process follows university guidelines, ensuring selection based on merit and eligibility criteria. Candidates must meet the required educational qualifications and complete the online application process.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidates must have completed a B.Sc. (Nursing), Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing), or Hons (Nursing) from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. A 5% relaxation is provided for SC and ST candidates.

There is no upper age limit for admission as per INC regulations. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply but admission for male candidates will be subject to college-specific policies. Additionally, candidates must be registered nurses and registered midwives under the Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council. Only those registered in the Nursing Council before October 31, 2023 (for B.Sc. Nursing candidates) and before October 31, 2024 (for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing candidates) are eligible.

For non-service candidates, at least one year of work experience after Nursing Council registration is mandatory by October 31, 2024. Experience certificates must be submitted without alterations as revised or altered certificates will not be accepted.

Candidates must also be medically fit. Those who have completed Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) through IGNOU are eligible only if their study center is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Students admitted to IGNOU study centers after 2012 are eligible for M.Sc. (Nursing) only if their center is recognized by IGNOU.
