Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission to the B.Sc. Nursing (4 Years Degree Course) must have passed the two-year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent from a recognized board, securing a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Science subjects (Biology, Physics, and Chemistry), with English as a compulsory subject at the 10+2 level. Candidates who have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from recognized boards such as AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE/NIOS/TOSS, or any other board recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana, with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, as well as those who have completed Intermediate (10+2) Vocational courses with a Bridge Course in Biology and Physical Sciences, are also eligible. Applicants belonging to SC, ST, and BC categories are eligible with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the Science group subjects (Biology and Physical Sciences). PROCEDURE OF SELECTION: Selection shall be carried out by the Admission Committee appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, KNR University of Health Sciences, strictly on the basis of the merit of the candidates and the web-options exercised by them. All selections will be made local-area-wise in accordance with the Rules of Admission notified in G.O.Ms.No. 139, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated 04.10.2024; G.O.Ms.No. 39, dated 18.04.2022; G.O.Ms.No. 18, dated 02.02.2023; G.O.Ms.No. 95, dated 14.07.2023, and subsequent amendments. The Selection Committee will allot seats to Nursing Colleges based on the candidate’s merit and web-options. Candidates who are allotted a seat will receive an allotment message on their registered mobile number and are advised to also check the University website for the allotment list. Selected candidates must download the allotment order after paying the University fee of ₹6,000/- (Rupees Six Thousand only), along with applicable payment gateway charges, and report to the Principal of the allotted college with all original certificates and the prescribed tuition fee as notified by the Government, to complete the admission process.

MERIT LIST: The provisional final merit position of candidates applying under the Competent Authority quota shall be published after due verification of the certificates uploaded by the applicants. The provisional final merit list shall be prepared by the Admission Committee constituted by the University, strictly in accordance with these regulations. The merit list for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course shall be drawn based on the TG-EAPCET-2025 rank obtained by the candidates.
Eligibility Criteria:
GNM Nursing: The eligibility criteria for admission to the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course generally require candidates to have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with English as a compulsory subject from a recognized board, securing at least 40% aggregate marks (some institutions may require 45%). Candidates must be between 17 and 35 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year. While Science stream candidates are preferred, applicants from Arts, Commerce, or other recognized streams may also be considered as per institutional or state regulations. Candidates should also be medically fit to pursue the course.

Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc. Nursing courses must be Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card holders, and must be local candidates. Seats earmarked under the Convenor (Government) Quota shall be reserved and filled exclusively by local candidates from the common merit list of the entrance test. A local candidate is defined as one who has studied in educational institutions within the State of Telangana for a minimum of four (4) consecutive academic years, ending with the academic year in which the candidate appeared, or first appeared, in the relevant qualifying examination. Candidates must have passed B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an institution located in Telangana, recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks, subject to a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

COUNSELING PROCEDURE: Verification of uploaded certificates and counselling shall be conducted in accordance with the existing Government and University regulations. As per the schedule notified on the University website, candidates must exercise web options for the course and college of their choice, and seat allotments shall be made based on merit, web options, and applicable reservation rules. Provisionally selected candidates will receive selection intimation via SMS, and the allotment list shall be published on the KNRUHS website; however, candidates are advised to log in to the admission portal and check their allotment status without fail, irrespective of receipt of SMS. Selected candidates must pay the University fee online, download the allotment order, and report to the concerned college within the stipulated time, submit all original certificates, pay the prescribed college fee, and execute the required bond on or before the last date mentioned in the allotment order. Final verification of original certificates shall be carried out at the college level, and any discrepancy shall result in cancellation of admission. Failure to submit original certificates, pay fees, or execute the bond within the specified period shall lead to automatic cancellation of selection, and candidates who do not join the course after allotment shall not be eligible for subsequent phases of counselling. The Selection Committee reserves the right to review or cancel any provisional selection in cases of error, misrepresentation, fraud, or apparent injustice, and in all matters relating to selection and admission, the decision of the Selection.

MERIT LISTS: The Admission Committee constituted by the University shall prepare a common Provisional Final Merit List based on the percentage of total marks obtained in B.Sc. Nursing (4 Years Degree Course) and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2 Years Degree Course), including all subjects and languages, calculated up to two decimal places, after verification of the uploaded original certificates. In the event of a tie in marks, age shall be considered, and the older candidate shall be placed higher in the merit list. If there is still a tie, the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the final year examination alone shall be taken into consideration. The Provisional Final Merit List shall be published on the University website (http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in), and all eligible candidates may visit the website to check the status of their merit and eligibility.
Note: If the candidate fails to submit any or all marks memos from 1st to Final BSc(N) 4YDC, P.B. B. Sc. (N) 2YDC, the percentage of marks shall be taken as 50%.

ELIGIBILITY: Candidates must be citizens of India and shall apply online in response to the notification issued by KNR University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) by uploading the required original certificates. The merit rank, finalized after verification of uploaded certificates by the officers appointed by KNRUHS, shall form the basis for selection to the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2 Years Degree Course) under the Competent Authority Quota. Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2 pattern) examination or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University in Telangana, the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana, or NIOS/TOSS, in accordance with Indian Nursing Council Regulations, and must have passed General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an institution recognized by the Government of Telangana or the Indian Nursing Council, and be registered with the State Nursing Council. The eligibility criteria shall be as per G.O.Ms.No.269, HM & FW (K2) Department, dated 30.11.2009, as amended in G.O.Ms.No.194 dated 07.07.2011, G.O.Ms.No.40 dated 18.02.2012, and as modified by Government of Telangana orders issued from time to time. Government Service candidates shall be female only and must have completed two years of regular service as a Staff Nurse in the Medical and Health Department or Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad as on 31.08.2025, and must submit a service certificate issued by the Head of the Department (DPH/DME/Commissioner, TVVP, etc.), along with regularization orders, confirming their status as a regular employee.

COUNSELING: The Provisional Final Merit List shall be displayed on the KNRUHS website after scrutiny of the online applications and uploaded certificates. Verification of uploaded certificates shall be conducted only once for web-based counselling, irrespective of the number of counselling phases or web-option exercises. Therefore, candidates applying online are advised to upload all required original certificates at the time of registration without fail for scrutiny by the concerned departmental officials. No individual communication shall be sent to candidates, and the schedule for exercising web options shall be notified separately on the KNRUHS website, which candidates are advised to visit regularly for updates. Online applications without mandatory certificates, passport-size photograph, or signature at the declaration area, or those that are incomplete, shall be automatically rejected and will not be considered for determination of merit. The Admission Committee reserves the right to review, modify, or cancel any selection or admission in cases of error, misrepresentation, or apparent injustice, and in all matters relating to selection and admission, the decision of the Admission Committee shall be final and binding, and shall not be questioned after the closure of admissions.

The criteria for preparation of merit list (P.B.B.Sc. NURSING COURSE) : In the event of a tie in GNM marks, the total percentage of marks obtained in the Intermediate examination shall be considered for determining the higher rank. If there is still a tie in both GNM and Intermediate marks, age shall be taken into account, and the older candidate shall be placed higher in the merit list. The University shall publish a Provisional Final Merit List of eligible candidates for exercising web options, after due verification of the uploaded original certificates by the University and officials of the concerned departments.
NOTE: Candidates who have applied online in response to this office notification for determining merit position for Competent Authority Quota seats shall upload the original certificates online along with the application, after verification of uploaded online certificates provisional final merit list shall be notified for counseling.
