
Khaja Banda Nawaz College Of Nursing, Gulbarga, is a Private College, was established in 2011, is located in Gulbarga District, Karnataka. The college offers a 4-year BSc Nursing course with an intake of 40 students. It is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Karnataka Nursing Council (KNC). In 1992, the Khaja Bandanawaz School of Nursing was founded, offering a 3 ½ year General Nursing and Midwifery course. This school is integrated with the Khaja Bandanawaz Institute of Medical Sciences, which provides advanced medical facilities, supported by a highly qualified staff and a wide clinical field for practical and community nursing services. Students receive clinical training at the K.B.N. Teaching & General Hospital, which features 500 beds and offers a range of services, including medical, surgical, pediatric, maternity, and specialties like ENT and Orthopedics. The hospital also provides comprehensive health programs for students. Exclusive school and hostel facilities, with all necessary amenities, are provided for female students.

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). It is held for students seeking admission to undergraduate courses such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Nursing and other professional programs in colleges across Karnataka. KCET provides eligible candidates with a fair and transparent pathway to secure seats in government and private institutions within the state.
As per Government Order No. MED 51 RGU 2023 dated 13-04-2023, candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) must register for CET-2025 through the KEA online portal and appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by KEA in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually in II PUC / 12th Standard (10+2). A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in PCB is required. Candidates belonging to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC categories are eligible with 40% aggregate marks in PCB. This relaxation applies only to Karnataka candidates.
Important Note: Non-Karnataka candidates are not eligible for reservation and are also not eligible for Government quota seats in B.Sc. (Nursing) admissions through KEA.

Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission to the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course generally require candidates to have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with English as a compulsory subject from a recognized board, securing at least 40% aggregate marks (some institutions may require 45%). Candidates must be between 17 and 35 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year. While Science stream candidates are preferred, applicants from Arts, Commerce, or other recognized streams may also be considered as per institutional or state regulations. Candidates should also be medically fit to pursue the course.
