General Nursing And Midwifery And Post Basic Diploma Course
Online Applications from the eligible candidates (male & female) are invited for admission into the General Nursing and Midwifery Course (3 years course including 6 months internship period) for the Academic batch which is being imparted in Government and Private Schools of Nursing in the state and Post Basic Diploma One Year Course in Government and eligible Private Schools (that completed APNMC inspection for PBDC) in the State by The Director of Medical Education -Government Of Andhra Pradesh. There Will Convener Quota seats and or Management Quota seats
Multi-purpose health worker (Female) M.P.H.W(F).
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
The minimum educational requirements shall be 10 + 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board.
The student shall be medically fit.
Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examinations conducted by the National Institute of Open School.
Students shall be admitted once a year.

Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:
The minimum and maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for M.P.H.W(F).
Minimum education:
10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with an aggregate of 40% marks.
10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.
Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
The student shall be medically fit.
Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examinations or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY conducted by the National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.
Students shall be admitted once a year.
For foreign nationals
. The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. The institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed as above.
Reservation
For disabled candidates: 3% Disability reservation to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will be the same as prescribed for each nursing program.
5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates
Any other reservation as per the State Govt.

After the selection of the candidates, they will indicate the selected candidates online.
85% of seats in the local areas are reserved in favor of local candidates in relation to the local area and the remaining seats are un-reserved as per A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of admissions order 1974 as issued in G.O.P No. 646 Edn. (W) Dept., Dated 10-07-1979).
Out of the seats available for admission - 15% for SC, 6% for ST, and 25% for BCs are reserved.
Waiting list with Ten (10) eligible candidates may be selected extra for the waiting list for each Institution to avoid the second-time selection process.
B. Sc. (N), M.Sc. (Nursing), Post Basic B. Sc. (N)
The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences has been conducting admissions into various Under Graduate, Post Graduate. The Admissions Into The Nursing Courses For Government And Management Seats Shall Be As Per The Merit in the AP EAMCET for admission B. SC. (nursing). The Admission Into M.Sc. (Nursing) will be as per the merit obtained in the qualifying examination. There Is No Entrance Test For Admission Into M.Sc ( Nursing )
B. Sc. (N)
Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to B. Sc. (N)

10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.

Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
Students shall be admitted once a year.
Post Basic B. Sc. (N)
Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to Post B. Sc. (N)
Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with the State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by the Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:

Psychiatric Nursing
Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing
Community Health Nursing
Cancer Nursing
Orthopedic Nursing
Candidates shall be medically fit.

M. Sc. (N)
Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to M. Sc. (N)
The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife of equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution that is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Minimum one year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Both the Service and Non-service candidates should not have completed 45 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission. For candidates belonging to SC and ST's the maximum age limit shall be 48 years
SELECTION PROCESS:
There is no entrance test for admissions into M.Sc(N) course
The selection of Candidates will be made by the selection committee as per the merit list.
The merit list will be prepared on the marks obtained in B.Sc(N)/ B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) group, and languages put together (all subjects) up to two decimal places.
In case equality aggregate marks, age shall be taken into consideration and older candidates shall be given higher places in the merit list
RESERVATIONS:
15%, 6% and 29% seats are reserved for SC, ST and BC candidates respectively (A-7%, B-10%, C- 1% , D-7% and E-4%) duly following net group reservation.
In the event that if any seats reserved for S.T. not being filled up, they will be thrown open to the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and vice-versa.
In the event of the candidates from the SC and ST are not being available, these seats shall be allotted to the candidates under open competition
Admission to 85% of Non-Statewide seats in each course of study shall be reserved in favor of the local candidates in relation to the local area. While determining 85% in favor of local candidates any fraction of a seat shall be counted as one as per the presidential order. The procedure as provided in A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended from time to time and the procedure indicated in Annexure-III of G.O.P. No.646 Education, dated 10-07-1979 as amended shall be followed in selecting the candidates. The remaining 15% of Seats are unreserved seats.
