 Eligibility Criteria for GNM Nursing (3 years)

• Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.
• Minimum education: 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with an aggregate of 40% marks.
• 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/ HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
• Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or science examinations or in health care science - the vocational stream only conducted by the national institute of open school with 40% marks.
• 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board with 40% marks.
• Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
• The student shall be medically fit.

For Foreign Nationals:  The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. The institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed

Eligibility for B.Sc Nursing (4 years)

• Pass in PUC / PDC (10+2) or passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate Education established by state Govt./ Central Govt. with English as one of the subject and Physics, Chemistry & Biology as optional subjects.
• Candidates belonging to SC, ST, or other backward classes, the mark obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English have taken together in qualifying examination should be a minimum of 40%.
• Candidates should produce Eligibility Certificate from Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay memorial health science and Ayush university
• The candidates should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission

 Eligibility for  Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (2 Years)

 A candidate seeking admission must:

• Hold a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
• Be a registered nurse.
• Have passed Pre-university examination in Arts/Science/Commerce by conducted by Department of Pre. University Education, Karnataka State or it's equivalent recognized by Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay memorial health science and Ayush university
• Have knowledge of English
• Should be medically fit
• Have a good personal and professional record.
• Candidates should produce Eligibility Certificate from Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay memorial health science and Ayush university
• The age of candidate who is above 48 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission shall not be eligible.

 Eligibility for  M.Sc Nursing

 Passed in B.Sc Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing or Post Certificate B.Sc Nursing and  must have obtained a minimum of not less than 55% aggregate marks. In the request of candidates belonging to SC and ST, the aggregate marks obtained be not less than 50% instead of 55% as above.

1. Minimum of one year of experience after obtaining B.Sc Nursing (Basic) or a minimum of one year of work experience in a hospital or in Nursing Educational Institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council
2. Registered in any state nursing council as a registered nurse and registered midwife.
3. Candidates shall be medically fit.
4. Age for the general category should be below 48 years and for SC/ST candidates below 50 years at the time of admission.

ELIGIBILITY

The selection of the candidates will be made on written test as well as interview by selection committee of Nursing College as per norms laid down by Nursing council of India as well as Jiwaji University, Gwalior, M.P.

* The minimum educational requirement shall be higher secondary (10+2) / Pre-university with PCBE and 45% of marks - for B.Sc. with 40% marks - for GNM.

* The minimum age shall be 17 yrs completed on or before 31st Dec. of year of admission.

* No candidate shall be admitted to the said course unless she / he has applied to the Principal of MPCNS & RI Gwalior on the prescribed form.

* Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test as well as the marks obtained in 10+2.

* The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.

B.SC. (NURSING)

10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferably Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology with aggregate - 45% Marks)

GNM

Higher Secondary (10+2)/Pre University in any stream with 40% marks - for GNM.

At the time of admission to the said course, a candidate will have to pay the prescribed fee to get her/himself enrolled for the council of the state and submit all the certificates as required by the university. The academic session of the college commences from July every year.

The examination shall be conducted by the Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Candidate shall be required to attend at least 75% Theory Lectures and 100% attendance in Practical and Clinical Postings. The procedure of examination will be in the form of terminals, half yearly, pre university followed by university examination.
