Admissions to B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) course:-

In the Government College of Nursing, Jaipur and Government Self Finance Scheme Nursing Colleges 100% seats (of the intake sanctioned) and in Private Nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled through RAJASTHAN UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, JAIPUR RUHS. The percentage of female candidates shall not fall below 50% of the total seats in all categories. In case non-availability of female candidates, such seats shall be filled by male candidates or vice-versa.

Private Nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled by Rajasthan Private Nursing Schools & Colleges Federation.

Application Form Fee:-

All candidates are required to deposit non-refundable application fees of Rs.1500/- (Rs.750/- for SC, ST&PH Category candidates) + e-Mitra service charges as per Govt rules at any e-Mitra authorized by Government of Rajasthan or using http://emitra.gov.in Online application fee will neither be refundable nor transferable nor adjustable. Any plea in this matter will not be entertained.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission:-

AGE:- Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years but not completed 28 years in the case of females and 25 years in case of males on or before 31st December, Date of birth as recorded in the secondary education certificate will be treated as authentic.

Educational Qualification:- A candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate examination (Science-Medical group) conducted by a statutory Board at the end of 12 years study under 10+2 pattern of the Secondary Education in all the compulsory subjects and the optional subjects of the Medical Group (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) or any other examination recognized by the University of Rajasthan as equivalent to above-stated qualification on the last date of submission of application form with a minimum of forty-five (45) % marks and' forty (40) % for natural born scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination.

Admission Procedure:-

The admission would be given strictly in accordance with the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the online entrance Examination. There shall be one paper of 2 hours duration containing 100 multiple-choice questions. Subjects which will be included for the Entrance Examination.

* The medium of instruction for the entrance test will be English and Hindi. If any discrepancy is found in the question paper then the English version. Each question shall have four (4) options to answer, out of which only one shall be correct. One mark (+1) shall be awarded for each correct answer, Zero (0) for an incorrect answer or unattempted questions. There shall be No Negative Marking.

Counseling:-

  • Candidates eligible for admission have to download Option Form, Undertaking Form, Seat Matrix, and Guidelines from the RUHS website. The option form, undertaking form, seat matrix, and instructions may be made available to the candidates after the declaration of the result of the Entrance Test.
  • The allotment of nursing college will be carried out through the computer software by strictly following the order of merit, seats available, and the order of options filled in by the candidate in the Options Form. No admission shall be made after the date notified by Chairman/Convener, Nursing Counseling Board
  • Admissions on the vacant seats, shall be made by second online counseling.

In case of a tie position between two or more than two candidates, the following steps in order be taken to resolve :-

  • One who has passed the 10+2 examination in less number of attempts will be given preference.
  • If there is a further tie, the relative merit will be decided by the age of the candidates. The candidate of higher age (older candidate) will be placed on higher merit.
  • If there is further tie, a candidate securing more marks in the Secondary examination will be given preference.
  • If there is further tie, a candidate securing more marks in the Senior Secondary examination (10+2) or equivalent will be given preference.

Admission To POST BASIC B.SC. NURSING For Session:-

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences will invite applications for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2 years Duration) Course to Government College of Nursing, Jaipur (100% of the sanctioned seats), Government self-financed Colleges (100% of the sanctioned seats), and Private Nursing Colleges (only 50% of the sanctioned seats) affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for the session.

Private Nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled by Rajasthan Private Nursing Schools & Colleges Federation..

Application Form Fee

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

Eligibility Criteria For Non-Service Candidates

The candidate must fulfill the criteria for eligibility as listed below

1. Should have passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10 +2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University/Board.

2. Should have obtained a Diploma in General nursing and midwifery before the implementation of new integrated course and should be registered as Registered Nurse and midwife with their respective State Nursing Council.

3. Should have obtained a Diploma in general nursing and Midwifery after the implementation of the new integrated course and registered as Registered Nurse and midwife with their respective State Nursing Council

4. The candidate should have undergone GNM with an institution that should be recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

5. A candidate shall be medically fit

Eligibility Criteria For In-Service Candidates (Rajasthan State Government Employees)

In addition to the eligibility criteria prescribed for non-service candidates, the in service candidate must also fulfill the eligibility criteria as listed below:

1. The Candidates should be in – service of the Government of Rajasthan.

2. He/she should have completed at least two years of continuous service after a regular appointment by the Government of Rajasthan. The Candidate would be required to submit a certificate to the above effect duly signed by the Director, Medical & Health Services, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur

AGE:- There is no age limit for admission to post basic B.Sc. Nursing

Reservation:-

The reservation of seats will be made subject to statutory provisions enacted by the State of Rajasthan.

a) The percentage of female candidates shall not be less than 50% of the total seats in all categories. (As per Ordinances Related to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing- 0.299-PB-1)

b) 16%, 12%, 21%, 5%, and 10% of total seats will be reserved for natural born candidates of SC, ST, OBC, MBC (More Backward Caste), and EWS (Economically weaker section) respectively as notified in the presidential order for the state of Rajasthan Govt. orders. (0.299-PB-5).

c) 45% seats out of total ST seats will be reserved for STA candidates

Admission Procedure:-

Selection of the candidate will be made strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination. with 1% bonus marks on completion of every 2 years of nursing services under the Rajasthan State Government. Bonus marks will not be awarded in fractions ( in-service candidate has to produce no objection certificate or copy of relieving orders from the state Govt.. or employer at the time of joining the course) no candidate will be allowed to serve in any other institute during the course of study

Entrance Examination:-

The computer-based entrance examination will be conducted online (at the examination center Jaipur). The details of the entrance examination will be available on the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) website. Admit cards can be downloaded only on the date of examination. Candidates are informed of the examination center by SMS or Email early on the day of examination. Medium of instruction English and Hindi for entrance examination if any discrepancy there is the English Version get Priority. There will not be any Negative Marking. here shall be one paper of 2 hrs duration containing 120 multiple choice questions. The entrance examination for seeking admission in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing shall be on the standard of the GNM course (Scheme- I, II, III).

Scheme- I:- Candidate who passed two years GNM course.

Scheme- II:- Candidate who passed three years GNM course.

Scheme- III:- Candidate who passed 3 1 /2 years GNM course

  • In case of the tie position between two or more than two Candidates selection shall be made in following order (a) Numbers of attempts for passing General Nursing and midwifery Examination (less attempt get preference) (b) Date of Birth of the candidate, older will get preference (c) Percentage of marks obtained at the higher sec. Or Sr. secondary examination respectively be considered
  • After allotment of college, candidates will be informed about their allotment at RUHS. Website Candidate is required to take a printout of the allotment letter using the candidate login option and report at the allotted college.
  • Admissions on the vacant seats, shall be made by second online counseling.

Admission To M.SC. NURSING (2 YEAR) Course Session:-

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) invites application for admission to M. Sc. Nursing (two-year duration) course in Government College of Nursing, Jaipur (100% of sanctioned seats), Government Self Finance Scheme Nursing Colleges (100% of sanctioned seats) and Private Nursing colleges (Only 50% of the sanctioned seats) affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, for the session

(A) For Non-Service Candidates: Candidate must fulfill the eligibility criteria as listed below

I. The candidate must have passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic/T&R)/ B.Sc. Nursing (Hons)/ Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from Rajasthan University of health Sciences/ University of Rajasthan/ other recognized University.

II. The candidate should be a registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent with their respective state Nursing Registration Council.

III. The institution from where, the candidate has pursued a Baccalaureate nursing program must be recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

IV. There would be no age limit for admission to M.Sc. Nursing course.

V. Minimum one year of work experience after passing B.Sc. Nursing / Prior or After Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing till the last date of submission of Online Application Form to RUHS, Jaipur.

(B) For In-Service Candidates: (Rajasthan State Government Employee) In addition to the eligibility criteria prescribed for non-service candidates, the in-service candidate must also fulfill the eligibility criteria as listed below

I. The candidate should be in service of the State Government of Rajasthan.

II. He/She should have completed at least two years of continuous service after regular appointment by the State Government of Rajasthan. The candidate would be required to submit a certificate to the above effect duly signed by the Director, Medical & Health Service, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Reservations:-

  • 16%, 12%, 21%, 5%, and 10% of total seats will be reserved for natural born candidates of SC, ST, OBC, MBC (More Backward Caste), and EWS (Economically weaker section) Candidates respectively (not adopted) as notified in the Presidential Order for the State of Rajasthan. Female candidates will be given reservations as per Government orders. 45% of total ST seats will be further reserved for STA candidates.
  • 5% seats out of each category, i.e. 16% (SC), 12% (ST), 21% (OBC), 5% (MBC), 10% (EWS), and remaining unreserved category shall be further reserved on merit-cum priority basis horizontally for candidates with benchmark disabilities (PWD) in accordance with the provisions of the right of a person with Disability Act 2016.
  • Out of 25 seats of Government College of Nursing, Jaipur, 10 seats are reserved for in service regular and eligible employees of the Government of Rajasthan. Out of these 10 seats, 5 seats are reserved for in-service nursing teachers, and 5 seats are reserved for nursing personnel working in Clinical areas of State Government.

Admission procedure for M. Sc. Nursing :-

DETAILS OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

(a) The M.Sc. Nursing Entrance Examination 2020 shall be of the standard of B.Sc. Nursing Examination (Syllabus) of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences and shall cover all the subjects of the B.Sc. Nursing Course.

(b) There shall be one paper of 2 hours duration containing 120 multiple choice questions. The paper of examination will be in English medium only. There will not be any Negative Marking. Subjects to be included in the M.Sc. Nursing Entrance Examination are:-

  3. Nutrition

Counselling For Allotment Of Seats And Nursing College :-

1. Allotment of seats and Nursing College shall be made by strictly following the order of merit of Online Entrance Examination, Option of the college filled in on-line application form, availability of the seats in the college and priority of choice.

2. After allotment of college, candidates will be informed about their allotment through the RUHS website. The candidate is required to take a printout of the allotment letter using the candidate login option and report at the allotted college with this printout along with the requisite document, in original and prescribed fee, by the notified date.

3. Admissions on the vacant seats, shall be made by second online counseling.
