Admission Process of  MNR College of Nursing Conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS)

B.Sc. Nursing

Eligibility for B.Sc. Nursing

  • The candidates should be citizens of India and should satisfy the local or non-local status in Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of admissions) order, 1974 and the selection will be done as per the procedure laid down.
  • Candidates shall secure the following of cutoff scores or above in TS- EAMCET – 2023 to be eligible for admissions in accordance with the regulations of the Indian Nursing Council.

  • Eligible TS - EAMCET- 2023 qualified Candidates have to apply online and upload the original certificates in response to notification to be issued by KNRUHS. The merit rank notified after verification of certificates by KNR University of Health Sciences, shall be the basis for selection into B.Sc.,(N) 4Ydc course into Competent Authority Quota seats.
  • 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board. SC/ST and BC categories are eligible with 40% aggregate marks in the science group subjects (Biology and Physical Sciences).
  • Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2023.

Reservation of seats for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

  1. Out of the total seats under Competent Authority Quota 15% are reserved for SC category candidates and 10% are reserved for ST category candidates. If any seat reserved for the Scheduled Tribes is not filled up they will be opento the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Vice-Versa.
  2. If the candidates from Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes are not available these reserved seats shall be converted to open category seats and allotted on the basis of merit.
  3. Reservation for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be considered for castes which are notified in the SC/ST caste list as per the Telangana Government orders only.

Reservation of seats for BC Candidates.

  • 29% of the total seats under Competent Authority Quota shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Backward Classes and shall be allotted among the five sub - groups of Back Ward Classes as follows:- BC-A-7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC-D-7% and BC-E-4%.
  • Candidates who belong to the notified Backward Class castes of the States of Telangana which are listed in the Telangana State Government orders shall be considered for reservations.
  • If eligible candidates belonging to Backward Classes of a particular sub-group are not available, the left over seats can be allotted to the candidates of next sub- group ie., BC A to BC B to BC C to BC D to BC E.
  • If eligible candidates of Back Ward Classes category are not available for the 29% seats reserved for them, the left over seats shall be converted to Open category seats and shall be allotted as open category seats on the basis of merit.
  • While calculating the number of seats in the sub-groups if the total number of seats falls short of or exceeds 29%, it shall be limited to 29% by adding or eliminating the candidates on the basis of merit in the sub- groups in which the fractions were rounded to nearest figure.

Reservation of seats for EWS Candidates.

  • 10% of total seats under Competent Authority Quota are reserved for economically weaker section ( EWS) category candidates who are not covered under the existing scheme of reservation for SC,ST & Socially and Educationally Backward Classes.
  • Candidates claiming reservation under EWS Category shall obtain the relevant latest EWS certificate valid for 2023-24 for reservation under economically weaker section issued by Tahsildar, who is the Competent Authority in state of Telangana for issue of EWS Certificate.

Reservation of seats for Women Candidates.

33 1/3% of seats are guaranteed for women candidates in each category i.e., Open category, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Classes Group A, B, C, D and E. This regulation of guarantee shall not be applicable if women candidates selected on merit in each category form 33 1/3% or more of the seats therein. When the number of women candidates falls short of this percentage, it would be made up by replacing the last selected male candidates by women candidates in that category

Reservation Under PWD Category.

RESERVATION UNDER PWD CATEGORY: 5% of total seats in each categories shall be reserved for the Persons With Disabilities (PWD) i.e., OC, SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D and BC-E categories as per Government of India guidelines. The candidate seeking the benefit of reservation should present him/herself before a Medical Board constituted by the University, comprising professors from Government Medical colleges from relevant specialties. The decision of the Medical Board constituted by the University is final.

Reservation for Local Candidates.

 85% of the seats shall be reserved for local candidates and 15% shall be unreserved seats

  • The part of the state comprising the districts of Adilabad, Hyderabad, (including twin cities), RangaReddy, Khammam, Karimnagar, Medak, Mahaboobnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal shall be regarded as the Osmania University Area.
  • The part of the State comprising the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam shall be regarded as Andhra University Area.
  • The part of the State comprising the districts of Anantapur, Kurnool, Chittoor, Cuddapah and Nellore shall be regarded as Sri Venkateswara University Area.

The on-line application form for determining merit position for Competent Authority Quota seats will be available on the website https://tsparamed.tsche.in 

Note: The candidates are advised to take a print out of the Prospectus / Instructions to fill the application form from the website http://www.knruhs.telangana.gov.in/ or from https://tsparamed.tsche.in before proceeding to fill the application form. 

The candidate should fill the online application form available in the Website with the data required for through computer or Laptop with data connection. The online application form can be filled through any computer with internet connection or Laptop. The candidate is advised to fill the online application form after going through the Prospectus by keeping all the Certificates, Scanned Photo and Signature in the jpg/.gif format separately (as shown below) and ready to enter his/her correct data and upload the photo, signature and original certificates, after the payment of application fee through Online. 

Registration and Processing Fee: 

The Registration and Processing fee Rs.2500/- (Bank transaction charges extra) for OC & BC candidates and Rs.2000/- (Bank transaction charges extra) for SC/ST candidates shall be paid online through Debit card / Credit card or Net Banking.**

 **Registration and Processing fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted to a further date. 

Categorization of seats:

  • As per G.O.Ms.NO.330, HM&FW(K1) Department,dt.11-11-2011, in Private institutions Sixty percent (60%) of the total number of seats shall be filled as Competent Authority Quota seats by university.
  • Forty percent (40%) seats shall be filled as Management Quota seats by the Managements of Private Colleges.
  • In respect of the Government colleges 100% Nursing seats shall be Competent Authority Quota, will be filled by the University.

MSC ( NURSING)

Application forms online are invited from the eligible candidates for admission into MSc (Nursing) courses for the academic year in Colleges affiliated to KNRHUS (KALOJI NARAYANA RAO UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES), Telangana State, Warangal based on merit in the qualifying examination B.Sc., (N) 4YDC / Post BSC (N) 2YDC Course under Competent Authority Quota.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have passed B.Sc., (N) 4YDC / Post BSC (N) 2YDC) degree from an Institution, which is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks for OC and BC Category Candidates. SC / ST Candidates should secure a minimum of 50% of aggregate marks.

AGE: Both the service and Non-service candidates should not have completed 45 years of age as of 31st December 2019. For candidates belonging to SC / ST, the maximum age limit shall be 48 years

RESERVATIONS

  • Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved in favor of the local candidates in relation to the local area as provided in A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended from time to time.
  • Admission to 15% Un-Reserved Quota Along With Local Candidates
