Admission Process

Admissions to B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) course:-

In the Government College of Nursing, Jaipur and Government Self Finance Scheme Nursing Colleges 100% seats (of the intake sanctioned) and in Private Nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled through RAJASTHAN UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, JAIPUR RUHS. The percentage of female candidates shall not fall below 50% of the total seats in all categories. In case non-availability of female candidates, such seats shall be filled by male candidates or vice-versa.

Private Nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled by Rajasthan Private Nursing Schools & Colleges Federation.

Application Form Fee:-

All candidates are required to deposit non-refundable application fees of Rs.1500/- (Rs.750/- for SC, ST&PH Category candidates) + e-Mitra service charges as per Govt rules at any e-Mitra authorized by Government of Rajasthan or using http://emitra.gov.in Online application fee will neither be refundable nor transferable nor adjustable. Any plea in this matter will not be entertained.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission:-

AGE:- Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years but not completed 28 years in the case of females and 25 years in case of males on or before 31st December, Date of birth as recorded in the secondary education certificate will be treated as authentic.

Educational Qualification:- A candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate examination (Science-Medical group) conducted by a statutory Board at the end of 12 years study under 10+2 pattern of the Secondary Education in all the compulsory subjects and the optional subjects of the Medical Group (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) or any other examination recognized by the University of Rajasthan as equivalent to above-stated qualification on the last date of submission of application form with a minimum of forty-five (45) % marks and' forty (40) % for natural born scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination.

Admission Procedure:-

The admission would be given strictly in accordance with the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the online entrance Examination. There shall be one paper of 2 hours duration containing 100 multiple-choice questions. Subjects which will be included for the Entrance Examination.

* The medium of instruction for the entrance test will be English and Hindi. If any discrepancy is found in the question paper then the English version. Each question shall have four (4) options to answer, out of which only one shall be correct. One mark (+1) shall be awarded for each correct answer, Zero (0) for an incorrect answer or unattempted questions. There shall be No Negative Marking.

Counseling:-

  • Candidates eligible for admission have to download Option Form, Undertaking Form, Seat Matrix, and Guidelines from the RUHS website. The option form, undertaking form, seat matrix, and instructions may be made available to the candidates after the declaration of the result of the Entrance Test.
  • The allotment of nursing college will be carried out through the computer software by strictly following the order of merit, seats available, and the order of options filled in by the candidate in the Options Form. No admission shall be made after the date notified by Chairman/Convener, Nursing Counseling Board
  • Admissions on the vacant seats, shall be made by second online counseling.

In case of a tie position between two or more than two candidates, the following steps in order be taken to resolve :-

  • One who has passed the 10+2 examination in less number of attempts will be given preference.
  • If there is a further tie, the relative merit will be decided by the age of the candidates. The candidate of higher age (older candidate) will be placed on higher merit.
  • If there is further tie, a candidate securing more marks in the Secondary examination will be given preference.
  • If there is further tie, a candidate securing more marks in the Senior Secondary examination (10+2) or equivalent will be given preference.
