Nemcare School and College of Nursing runs under NEMCARE Group of Institutions (NGI) is a leading educational organization in Assam, India. The School of Nursing was established in 2010 and has been recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC), Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ and Health Visitors’ Council (ANC) and approved by Govt of Assam, and is affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS). The group has grown to have 3 institutes in Miza, totaling a 20-acre sprawling campus, 1,10,000 square feet of built-up area of infrastructure, and 15,000 books in 6,000 square feet library. NGI offers various programs in professional education.

  • Central Library: The Central Library at NGI is a 6000-square-foot facility for students to venture into the wealth of knowledge available readily at the disposition of experienced librarians and bookkeepers. The library currently houses a dynamic list of 13000 text and reference books of over 5000 titles, 24 journals, and 03 e-journal packages.
  • Smart Classroom Facilities: The NGI Campus boasts of a Smart Classroom equipped with a BenQTM 4K UHD 86” Education Interactive Flat Screen Smartboard which is designed to tap into the dynamic possibilities of the classroom
  • Hostel: Separate hostel amenities for boys and girls are available inside the campus, equipped with 24 hrs electricity and water supply. The hostel mess provides fresh and nutritional food prepared in a hygienic environment. The hostel is well secured with 24 hrs security personnel placed in hostels.
  • Laboratories: Well-equipped laboratories are a forte of every institute. NGI boasts of over 25000 sq. feet of well-equipped laboratories, with instruments and apparatus that deals with every aspect of Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health and 10+2 practical curriculum

B.Sc. Nursing:

Nursing is the right career option for those candidates who have the zeal and interest to serve the mankind.
The objective of the B.Sc. Nursing Program at College of Nursing NEMCARE Foundation is to demonstrate competency in the knowledge and skills in providing comprehensive nursing care based on the problem-solving approach in the hospital and community.
The curriculum is designed to allow them to become self-sufficient, to cope up with the diverse healthcare settings. The College of Nursing would impart quality training to the students, to convert them into professionals, who would render excellent service in their practice and conduct research and develop models for healthcare delivery to meet the needs of the society.
B.Sc Nursing career options include employment in areas like hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and health departments, railways and defence etc.

Eligibility for Admission B.Sc(N):-

  • Completion of 16 years of age at the time of admission and not exceeding 24 years.
  • Minimum 50% in Higher Secondary in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English
  • Minimum 45% & above in PCB with English for SC/ST/OBC
  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible for admission.
  • Students should be medically fit.

Eligibility for Admission P B B.Sc(N) Programme :

1. The student must attain the minimum age of 17 years at the time of admission

2. The minimum educational requirement:

(a) Intermediate/ 10+2 (Arts/Science/Commerce) or its equivalent

(b) Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

(c) Must be registered under respective nursing council & Midwifery (GNM)

3. Candidate shall have to be medically fit

4. Admission is open for both the genders

5. Students coming from other nationally shall have to conform all norms of GOI under the Foreign Nationals Act as a student

6. Admission is valid for one year only (i.e. yearly admission is required)

Documents to be submitted along with application form for admission:

  1. Pass Certificate of Class XII / HSSLC
  2. Mark Sheet of Class XII / HSSLC
  3. High School Leaving Certificate
  4. Migration Certificate from University/Board
  5. Age proof Certificate/HSLC Admit Card
  6. In case of SC/ST/OBC supporting documents must be produced
  7. Character Certificate from Head of Institution last attended
  8. Transfer Certificate from Institute last attended.
  9. Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife certificate for Post Basic BSc. Nursing

Application for the admission to the respective courses should be made on the prescribe form attach with the prospectus. Application forms filled in properly and correctly in capital letters should be submitted along with the fees and the document which is required.

First come first serve basis is adopted by the authority of the university while providing the admission to the selected candidates. In case a deserving student is not able to take admission due to not availability of the seats in that case he/she can reserve the seat for the next session by depositing the prescribe fees in advance.

Also Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained from the NGI offices on payment of 500.00 (Rupees Five hundred only) by Cash or Demand Draft in favour of "NGI" payable at "MIRZA" either personally or through messenger or through postal request. Incase of online payment you have to submit the acknowledgement receipt.

GNM Nursing:

We recognize that nursing is an integral part of the health services of the country playing a very vital role in the curative, preventive and promotive aspects of health care in the community.

We believe that the basic course in nursing is a formal educational programme, which should prepare nurses of first level positions in nursing in both the hospital and community. It is the foundation on which the practice of nursing is built and on which further professional education depends.

Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:

10+2 with 40% marks from any recognized board. However Science is preferable Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. Registered ANM 10+2 vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council 10+2 Health care Science — Vocational stream from a recognized CBSE board/ State /Centre

Eligibility :- GNM
1Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:
10+2 with 40% marks from any recognized board. However Science is preferable, 5% is relaxed for SC/ST candidates
Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government.

3Minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (As on 31st December of the year) The upper age limit is 35 yrs. For ANM/for LHV, there is no age bar.

Only unmarried candidate are eligible for admission.

Any other quotas as per the State Govt. under the reservation policy.
Note: Quotas shall be applicable within the sanctioned number of the seats sanctioned and not above it.
