The Entrance Examination for selection of candidates for admission into B.Sc. Nursing Course in both the Govt. and Private Institutes of Assam for the session 2024. Online Application Forms shall be available on University website www.ssuhs.in. The online application Form must be filled up after carefully going through the instructions given along with the Form.
The requisite entrance examination fee (non-refundable) shall have to be paid by the candidates only in online mode through the payment gateway available in the University website (Fee Collect). The details of categories of fee are available in the University website along with other details of examination. Above Examination fee is exempted for PwD (Divyang) category of candidates having disability of 40% and above.

Eligibility Criteria:- The eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance test and for admission into the B.Sc. Nursing Course are as follows: The applicant must be a citizen of India and must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board, Council, or University with English as one of the subjects. The candidate must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for General category candidates, 45% for PwD candidates, and 40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) categories, all without grace marks. Additionally, the candidate must be at least 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.

Applications are invited from the candidates for GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE) for selection of candidates for admission into GNM Course under the Directorate of Health Services, Assam in both Govt. and Private Institutes for the session 2024–25. Online Application Form shall be available at Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences website: www.ssuhs.in. The Online Application Form must be filled up after carefully going through the instructions given along with the form on the website. So, interested candidates are advised to submit the online form within this stipulated period only.

The entrance examination will consist of one paper with questions from English, Mathematics, and General Science, based on the 10th standard syllabus. The exam will carry a total of 100 marks, comprising 100 questions with 1 mark each—English for 50 marks, Mathematics for 25 marks, and General Science for 25 marks. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers, and unanswered questions will receive zero marks. The question paper will be available in both English and Assamese languages; however, candidates must fill the OMR sheet in English only.

Important Note: The Entrance Examination shall consist of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) based on the Class 10th standard syllabus, covering English, General Science, and Mathematics. The merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained by each candidate in the examination. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, the inter-se merit will be determined in the following order of preference: first, candidates securing higher marks in English in the Entrance Examination; second, those securing more marks in General Science. If the tie still persists, then the marks obtained in the qualifying examination will be considered in the order of English, followed by General Science, and then Mathematics at the time of counselling. The minimum qualifying criteria or cut-off score in the Entrance Examination for the GNM Course are as follows: 50th percentile for General (UR/EWS) candidates, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates, and 45th percentile for Divyang candidates. If seats remain vacant, the minimum percentile may be reassessed by the Government of Assam or the Directorate of Health Services, Assam.
