Procedure for admission to Nursing Courses affiliated to the Baba Farid University Of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab

The PPMET-2024 Prospectus contains the rules, regulations, and guidelines for merit allocation and admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course in various nursing colleges across Punjab, affiliated with Baba Farid University Of Health Sciences, Faridkot.

Eligibility for BSc Nursing :

To be eligible for B.Sc. Nursing admission in Punjab (PPMET-2024), candidates must be Indian citizens and have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects, securing at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/BC). They must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December 2024, with no upper age limit. Admission requires qualifying the PPMET-2024 entrance exam, and candidates must be medically fit.

FEE REQUIREDWITH ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

Application fee: Rs. 3000/- +18% GST+ Counseling fee Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 4540/-). For SC candidates Rs. 1500+18% GST Rs.1770/- + Counseling fee Rs. 1000 (Rs. 2770/-) through payment gateway available on university website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in by due date and time. Fee once deposited in University account will not be refunded / adjusted.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURE TO FILL ONLINE ADMISSION APPLICATION FORM FOR ADMISSION TO B.SC. NURSING COURSE UNDER PPMET-2024.

i) Before applying, candidate should carefully read PROSPECTUS for eligibility conditions and other important instructions.

ii) Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Submitting more than one application by a candidate is liable to be rejected.

iii) Candidate ensures that he/she has completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, 2024.

iv) After filling online application, candidate should have to deposit requisite fee in the University account through online payment gateway by stipulated period. Fee shall not be accepted in any other mode i.e. cash, Cheque, Demand Draft etc.

v) After filling online application form by candidate, University will issue a Unique Registration Id. Registration id (i.e. Login Id) and password will be provided to the candidate at his/her registered Mobile Number through SMS and email.

vi) Admit card will be issued against those Registration Id's, against which Registration Id application fee has been remitted within a stipulated date and time.

vii) Candidate should have to apply online by due date. After this online application form will not be available at the University website and no request will be entertained in this regard.

viii) Fee should be deposited by specified date/time. Fee once deposited will not be refunded/adjusted in any case.

ix) Date should be filled in the format of dd/mm/yyyy i.e. date/month/year.

x) Registration number and Password is mandatory for further process, so keep it secret and don’t disclose to any unknown person.

xi) You have to login to upload Photograph, Edit Application, Application Status and to change your password options.

xii) How to upload Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression: You have to login by entering your Registration No and Password. The size of photograph, Signature, Left hand Thumb impression should not be more than 25KB respectively. Candidate may use third party software i.e. http://www.shrinkpictures.com to resize their photograph, Signature, Left hand thumb impression before uploading.

xiii) All application forms will be locked automatically after the cutoff date is over. Once Application form is locked, it can’t be unlocked by applicant. Therefore, be ensured that you have entered correct data particularly check your Name, Date of Birth, categories,+10+2 marks etc. before the application form is locked.

xiv) Candidates are advised to always Log out your application form when you are leaving the computer.

PPMET-2024 Online Counselling Procedure

Counselling Mode: Conducted online by BFUHS after PPMET-2024 result declaration. Candidates will submit college preferences on the university website: www.bfuhs.ac.in. Seats allocated based on merit and eligibility criteria.

Seat Allocation: Provisional seat allotment letters will be available for download after allocation. Candidates must report to the allotted college for document verification, medical checkup, and joining.

Fee Payment: Selected candidates must pay the 1st-year fee online.

Seat Cancellation: Failure to report, pay fees, or meet eligibility will result in seat cancellation without notice.

Upgradation & Surrender: Candidates can upgrade/change preferences in subsequent rounds. To quit, a written request must be submitted to the college principal.

2nd Round Choices: Candidates can choose new colleges/quotas in Round 2, even if they were not in the vacancy list. Vacant NRI/Reserved seats may be converted to General seats if unfilled.

Eligibility for Punjab GNM Course

The Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC) oversees admission, examination, and registration of nurses and midwives for ANM and GNM courses in Punjab. Admissions for Session 2024-25 will be conducted through Centralized Online Counselling as per the Indian Nursing Council and Punjab Government guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with English and secured 40% marks from a recognized board or open school. Those from vocational streams must have 40% marks in Vocational ANM or Health Care Science. ANM candidates should be registered with a pass mark. SC/ST candidates receive a 5% relaxation in total marks. Foreign nationals must have their 12th equivalence verified by AIU, New Delhi. All candidates must be medically fit and submit a Medical Certificate issued by an MBBS/MD/MS practitioner.

Important Instructions:

Candidates can apply for ANM and GNM courses for Session 2024-2025 through online mode only. Admissions will be conducted via Centralized Online Counselling by PNRC, starting from 1st October 2024. The prospectus can be downloaded from www.pnrconline.in, and applications must be submitted on the PNRC admission portal. Providing false information will lead to disqualification. Vacant reserved/minority seats will be transferred to the General category in the second counselling. The State Government reserves the right to amend any clause or procedure without prior notice.
