Candidates seeking admission must meet the eligibility criteria set by the Indian Nursing Council. They must obtain a minimum of 50% marks for unreserved/EWS categories, 45% for unreserved handicapped, and 40% for reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC). They should have passed the 12th class with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, along with separate passing marks in English and Hindi. Reserved categories have a 5% relaxation. The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the examination year. They should be local residents of Madhya Pradesh and medically fit. In case local candidates are not available during the second and subsequent rounds of counseling, eligibility criteria may be relaxed for the remaining vacancies.

Must have passed Higher Secondary or Senior or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 on or before 1986 shall be eligible for admission. Must have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council. Candidate should be medically fit.

(1) Allotment for admission in the first round of counselling:
Allotment order shall be issued to the registered candidates in order of preference by matching the vacancies and the options of the registered candidates through computerized process on the portal, specifying the course, subject and Educational Institution, namely:
(i) The process of admission in Educational Institution against the allotment order issued under sub-rule (1) of rule 10 shall be as follows, namely:
(a) To complete the admission process in each Educational Institution, a minimum three-member Admission Committee shall be constituted every year under the chairmanship of the Principal of the Educational Institution, in which 2 members shall be teachers. The help of other nursing teachers and staff of the Educational Institution may be taken by the Admission Committee to complete the admission process;
(b) Such registered candidate who have not opted for upgrade shall have to appear before the Admission Committee of the Educational Institution with the copy of the allotment order issued for admission under sub-rule (1) of rule 10 and the required documents;
(c) The Admission Committee of the Educational Institution shall examine the registration information done for the selection test of the eligible candidate and after examination of the documents mentioned in Schedule-III, the admission order of eligible candidate shall be issued online through the portal. After final admission, the candidates shall have to deposit the fee in the admitted Institution;
(d) Before the issue of online allotment order in the first round, there shall be a provision for the candidates to choose a better option (upgrade) for the final round. It shall be mandatory for these candidates to do choice filling and locking in the final round;
(ii) Candidates dissatisfied with the decision of the Educational Institution's Admission Committee may represent their case before the Counselling Committee within two days from the date of issuance of such decision.
(2) Allotment for admission in the final round of counselling
The procedure for allotment for admission in the final round of counselling shall be as follows, namely:
(i) after completion of admission process under clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 10 in reference of allotment order issued under sub-rule (1) of rule 10, available vacancies including virtual vacancies generated due to selection of better option under sub-clause (d) of clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 10 shall be published on the portal;
(ii) eligible candidates may register their options on the portal in order of preference;
(iii) allotment order shall be issued to the candidates in the order of preference after matching the options of registered candidates with the vacancies through computerized process on the portal;
(iv) on issue of allotment order under clause (iii) above, the admission taken by a candidate in the first round of counselling shall automatically stand cancelled;
(v) the candidates who opted for upgrade in the first round of counselling after allotment shall have to appear in person at the concerned Educational Institution for admission after allotment and submit original documents, photocopies of documents and deposit the admission fee in the concerned Educational Institution.
(3) Process for admission after the final round of counselling
(i) in this round, candidates who have been allotted seats in any round earlier shall not be eligible for this round. After completing the admission process of the last round of counselling, if any vacancy remains vacant in any Educational Institution, then the course wise and Educational Institution wise vacancy shall be published on the portal;
(ii) in this round, registration shall be open again for the candidates and after registration, the list of eligible candidates shall be displayed on the portal. Candidates registered against the available vacancies shall enter their options in the order of preference on the portal and lock their choices;
(iii) by matching the vacancies and options of registered candidates through computerized process on the portal, allotment order shall be issued to the registered candidates in order of priority, specifying the course, subject and Educational Institution;
(iv) after the final round, if required, after the approval of Commissioner, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Public Health and Medical Education, the process of counselling on the remaining seats shall be done again in one round as per sub-rule (3) of rule 10, which shall be final.
