Rahman Hospitals College Of Nursing

Rahman Hospital School of Nursing (RHSON) was established in 2014 to keep up with the pace of rapid advancements in nursing education. The school was established by the management of Rahman Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., an advanced Centre for Neurological, Neurosurgical, and Spinal diseases. The institute provides well ventilated student friendly classrooms as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council regulations. All classrooms are well equipped with Black board, White board and Projectors. The institute has a 500 seater auditorium with a stage and a green room. The auditorium is well equipped with a projector screen and a PA system. For any educational institution, a library is a must to enrich the knowledge of the students. Rahman Hospitals School of Nursing has a well equipped, well-stocked and well-furnished library, with 3400 copies of books, periodicals monthly journal and newspapers. One 50 seater bus, two 30 seater buses and a traveler are available to transport students to their practical training centers.

Admission Eligibility Criteria of Rahman Hospital School of Nursing (RHSON)

Diploma in G.N.M. (General Nursing and Midwifery)

1. 1. Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV
2. 2. Minimum education:
3. 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks.
4. 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
5. 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board with 40% marks.
6. 3. Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
7. 4. Student shall be medically fit.
8. 5. Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.
9. 6. Student shall be admitted once in a year.

Bachelor in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing)

• The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission issought.
• Minimum education:
• 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/ SSCE/ HSCE or other equivalent Board.
• Student shall be medically fit.
• Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45%marks.
• Student shall be admitted once in a year.

Masters in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing)

• The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
• The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc.Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
• The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing/ B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc.Nursing.
• Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

• Candidates must apply in the prescribed Application Form.
• Duty filled Application Form should be submitted along with Rs.500/- in cash. In case of a Demand Draft - The name, address and phone number of the applicant should be mentioned on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.
• The application form should be filled in the candidate's own hand writing in capital letters.
• Application forms filled with incomplete information or not submitted on the prescribed application form without demand draft (in case of downloaded forms) and those reaching Rahman Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences Office after the due date or otherwise shall not be entertained and will be rejected.
• The application form and the admit card with attested copies of all the necessary documents should reach the following address Rahman Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Radha Nagar,Guwahati-27 before the last date.
• Duly filled application should be submitted either online or hard copy with required documents to the Institute email(in case of online submission ) / RINPS office /RHPL Admission office(in case of hard copy submission).

Reservation Policy:

GNM and B.Sc. Nursing

• For disabled candidates: 3% Disability reservation to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will be same as prescribed for each nursing programme.
• 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates.
• Any other reservation as per the State Govt.

1. Note: A committee to be formed consisting of medical officer authorized by medical board of state government and a nursing expert in the panel which may decide whether the candidates have the disability of locomotor of 40% to 50%.
2. Note: Reservation shall be applicable within the sanctioned number of seats by INC and not above it.

M.Sc. Nursing

• 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates.
• Any other reservation as per the State Govt.

Selection Procedure

1. The eligible candidates are required to appear for the Entrance Examination.
2. Candidates who are found eligible on preliminary scrutiny of application and other documents will be called in for Written Admission Test which will be held at the Rahman Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Radhanagar, Sixmile, Guwahati - 27.
3. The Entrance Examination will consist of the following subjects : General Knowledge, English, and Science
4. The pattern of the Entrance Examination will be Multiple Choice Question, which will include questions from English and Science (class XII syllabus) and General knowledge. No Negative Marking. the duration will be 2 hours. There is no provision for re-examination or re-evaluation.

• Allowing the candidate to appear for the Entrance Examination and interview does not guarantee the right of admission. Candidate must satisfy all admission criteria.
• Candidates furnishing false information will be liable for legal proceedings and cancellation & admission without any notice.
• No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Day Allowance) will be paid to the candidate.
