GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES : No inquiries regarding the date of declaration of the result shall be entertained by the University or the Government. The University shall not conduct any re-examination under any circumstances for candidates who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of PPMET-2025, for any reason whatsoever.
PROCEDURE OF ONLINE COUNSELLING AFTER DECLARATION OF PPMET-2025 RESULT AND JOINING AT THE ALLOTTED COLLEGE: The BFUHS shall conduct online counselling for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Course (Session 2025) after the declaration of the PPMET-2025 result. The detailed counselling schedule, including date, time, and mode, will be notified on the University website. Candidates must submit their online choices and preferences of colleges and categories through the University website (www.bfuhs.ac.in ) within the prescribed schedule. Seat allotment shall be made strictly on the basis of PPMET-2025 merit and eligibility criteria, as per Punjab Government notifications, and according to the preferences submitted by the candidates; therefore, candidates are advised to exercise their choices carefully. After provisional seat allotment, candidates may download the provisional allotment letter from the University website by logging into their account and must report to the allotted college for medical examination, verification of original documents, eligibility checking, and completion of admission formalities.
FEE: Provisionally selected candidates shall pay the first-year fee through the online payment gateway available on the University website. Mere issuance of a provisional allotment letter does not confer any right to claim the allotted seat, as the allotment is subject to verification of documents and fulfillment of eligibility conditions as per Punjab Government Notification/Prospectus. If a candidate fails to report to the allotted college within the stipulated period, does not pay the required counselling/tuition fee, or is found ineligible at any stage, the allotted seat shall be automatically cancelled without any notice and declared vacant for the subsequent round of counselling. Candidates wishing to upgrade or change their seat/category must participate in the subsequent counselling round by submitting fresh preferences, while those satisfied with their allotted seat need not participate further. Candidates intending to surrender or quit the seat must submit a written request to the Principal of the respective college before declaration of vacancies for the next counselling round so that the vacated seat may be included in the vacancy list. In case of seat upgradation, re-payment of tuition fee is not required; however, the difference in fee, if any, shall be payable. MERIT LIST : The University will prepare a list of the applicants for admission out of the successful candidates in the order of merit based on the PPMET-2025 Rank and the provisions of the Punjab Government Notification as amended from time to time and subsequent notifications in this regard for the purpose of allotment of seats in the different courses/institutions by personal appearance of the candidates before Selection Committee.
Eligibility Criteria:
GNM Nursing: The eligibility criteria for admission to the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course generally require candidates to have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with English as a compulsory subject from a recognized board, securing at least 40% aggregate marks (some institutions may require 45%). Candidates must be between 17 and 35 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year. While Science stream candidates are preferred, applicants from Arts, Commerce, or other recognized streams may also be considered as per institutional or state regulations. Candidates should also be medically fit to pursue the course.
Eligibility: For admission to the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course, the candidate must have passed G.N.M. (General Nursing and Midwifery) from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and must be registered as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN/RM) with the respective State Nursing Council. The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent, preferably with Science subjects, or should have passed 10+1 before 1986 as per INC norms. The applicant must be medically fit, and admission shall be made on the basis of merit/entrance test as prescribed by the concerned University or State Government from time to time.

Note: Candidate will attempt the examination on the OMR Answer Sheet that will be provided in the examination hall. The specimen of the OMR Sheet is as under. Each question is followed by four alternative responses listed as A), B), C) and D) out of which only one is correct / most correct. In case, all the ovals are left blank, there will be deduction of ¼ mark of total marks of each such question. Fifth oval 'E' (introduced for security purpose) is to be darkened in case you do not want to attempt the question to avoid negative marking.

FEE: The provisionally selected candidates will pay the 1st year fee through online payment gateway on university website. Merely, issuing of Provisional allotment letter does not confer any right to claim the allocated seat as their provisional allotment is subject to verification of documents and checking of eligibility as per terms and conditions of Punjab Govt. Notification/Prospectus. If any candidate will not report for joining to the respective college up-to stipulated period or will not pay the requisite counselling/tuition fee etc. or found ineligible as per Punjab Government notification at any stage, his/her allocated seat will be cancelled automatically without any intimation and his/her seat shall be declared as vacant for the subsequent round of counseling. In case, candidate wishes/intends to upgrade/change his/her seat/category then he/she will have to participate in the subsequent round of counselling by submitting preferences/choices afresh for the course/college/category/Quota. If candidate is satisfied with seat allocated to him/her during online counselling, he/she is not required to participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling. If any candidate wants to surrender/quit the course/seat, he/she will have to submit the written request to the Principal of respective college for surrender of seat before the university will declare the vacant seats for subsequent round of counselling so that resultant vacated seat can be added in the vacancy position of seats. In case candidate is shifted /upgraded his seat in the subsequent round of counselling then there is no need to deposit tuition fee again but he/she has to deposit the difference in fee (if any). It is pertinent to mention here that during the 2nd round of online counseling, the candidates can fill the choices of colleges/category/Quota as per their choice although which are not reflecting in the vacancy position of seats because during 2nd online counseling any candidate can upgrade/shift seat as per his/her choice by vacating the already occupied seat of 1st counseling. This is also made clear that some seats of reserve categories, NRI Quota seats, etc., may remain vacant after exhausting all candidates of respective category/quota, therefore, any seat of any college may be vacant in 2nd round due to shifting/conversion of seats. Hence, it is not mandatory to fill only those choices/preference which are reflected in the vacancy position of seats. So candidates are advised to fill the preference/choices of college as per their choice. The seats will be allocated as per availability of seats as per merit cum preference/choice submitted by the candidate.
MERIT LIST: The University will prepare a list of the applicants for admission out of the successful candidates in the order of merit based on the PMNET-2025 Rank and the provisions of the Punjab Government Notification as amended from time to time and subsequent notifications in this regard for the purpose of allotment of seats in the different courses/institutions by personal appearance of the candidates before Selection Committee.
