Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College Of Nursing, Katra is a Private College was established in 2016. This College is affiliated to Jammu and kashmir Nursing Council and for Graduate courses it's affiliated to university of jammu and kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE), established under the J&K Legislature Act No. XXV of 2002, conducts entrance exams and recommends admissions to professional courses in J&K and Ladakh. For the 2025 academic year, BOPEE will admit candidates to B.Sc. Nursing, Para-Medical, and B.Sc. Technology courses in government and private colleges. Admission will be based on an entrance test or academic merit, depending on the number of applicants. If applications exceed seat availability, a written entrance test will be conducted as per relevant laws and regulations.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates seeking admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Programme must meet the following requirements:
Domicile: Must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh. For candidates from Ladakh, a valid ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority shall be considered as proof of domicile.
Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 17 years old as on 31st December 2025. The upper age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification:
Compulsory English: English must be a mandatory subject in the qualifying examination (10+2).
Medical Fitness: The candidate must be medically fit.
Provisional Candidates: Candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply and appear in the entrance test. However, they must produce the qualifying examination certificate at the time of admission in the allotted college/institute. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of their candidature.

Instruction for uploading Photographs/Thumb Impression/Signature: Candidates must also follow the following instructions:
WARNING: The Candidates are warned not to resort to any unfair/fraudulent means or act of impersonation at the time of Entrance Test or upload any objectionable material including a photo of any object, other than his/her own photograph while submitting the online form. In case, a candidate is found taking recourse to such acts, criminal prosecution shall be launched against him/her and his/her abettors. He /she shall be permanently debarred from appearing in the Entrance Test in future.
DECLARATION OF RESULT: After the Entrance Test, the answer key will be displayed on the BOPEE website either on the test date evening or by noon the next day, and it will remain available for three days. Candidates can challenge any discrepancies in the question paper or answer key by submitting a representation, along with supporting proof from a standard textbook, within three days. A fee of Rs. 1000 per representation, payable at the BOPEE office, is required. The representations will be reviewed by experts, and the final revised answer key will be uploaded. No further complaints will be entertained afterward. Candidates can request re-totaling within three days of the result declaration, with a fee of Rs. 1000. The result will be published in two local dailies and uploaded on the BOPEE website. The selection process will be notified separately.
