The Government of Maharashtra has established "ADMISSIONS REGULATING AUTHORITY AND STATE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST CELL" as per the provisions of Maharashtra unaided private professional Educational Institutes (Regulation of Admission & Fees) Act.2015, (herein after the act). As per the act, the State Government has published the rules in Maharashtra Government Gazette No. MED-1016/CR 69/16/Edu-2, Dated 19/08/2016 (Annexure -L). As per Government of Maharashtra MEDD letter no. MED-1023/C.R.19/23/EDU-2 dated 27/04/2023, The Commissioner of State CET Cell, has been designated as Competent Authority for conducting MH-Nursing CET 2025 entrance examination and selection of candidates for admission to the concerned course for the academic year 2025-2026 (Annexure - J).

B.Sc. Nursing:-

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must be an Indian national. Proof of nationality shall be established through a Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, or through a valid passport, or a School Leaving Certificate of HSC/12th standard clearly indicating the candidate’s nationality as “Indian.” The candidate must be a domicile of Maharashtra, except those falling under Clause 6.3, 6.4, 6.10, 6.11, and Annexure–E. For eligibility in MH-Nursing CET 2025, candidates belonging to the Open and EWS categories must secure a minimum of 50th percentile marks. Candidates belonging to constitutional reservation categories (excluding EWS) and those under constitutional reservation with Persons with Disabilities (PwD) claim must secure at least 40th percentile marks. Persons with Disabilities in the General and EWS categories must obtain not less than the 45th percentile marks in MH-Nursing CET 2025, or as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council from time to time, in accordance with the Revised Regulations and Curriculum for B.Sc. (Nursing) Programme – Corrigendum, Regulations, 2022, dated 8 April 2022.

RESERVATION:

INFORMATION BROCHURE AND ONLINE APPLICATION FORM: The Competent Authority shall publish a notification regarding the online application process for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course in the State of Maharashtra. The Information Brochure detailing the admission procedure for MH-Nursing CET 2025 will be made available on the official website, www.mahacet.org. Candidates seeking admission through MH-Nursing CET 2025 are required to submit a single prescribed online application form (Annexure “C”). The application fee for MH-Nursing CET 2025 is ₹1000/-, which is non-refundable. Before filling out the online application form, candidates must download and carefully read the Information Brochure to ensure they fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria and educational qualifications. Prior to final submission, candidates should thoroughly review the conditions stated under “Declaration by the Candidate” and confirm their acceptance of these terms before submitting the application form.

1. Declaration by the Candidate: I hereby solemnly affirm that all statements made and information furnished by me in the application form are true, complete, and correct to the best of my knowledge, and that I have not concealed any material fact. In the event that any information provided by me is found to be false, incorrect, or fraudulent, I understand that I shall be liable for criminal prosecution, forfeiture of my seat in the B.Sc. Nursing course, and cancellation of my selection and admission. I further declare that I have carefully read and fully understood the rules and regulations contained in the MH-Nursing CET 2025 Information Brochure, and I agree to abide by them in their entirety. By submitting this application, I expressly accept the legality, validity, and correctness of all such rules and acknowledge that, having submitted the application, I shall not thereafter challenge or question any rule or part thereof. I also undertake to produce all required original certificates during the document upload/physical verification process and at the time of admission, as prescribed; failing which, I understand that my claim for selection shall not be considered. Only if I agree to the aforesaid conditions shall I click the “I Agree” button, thereby confirming my acceptance and enabling submission of the application form. The detailed procedure and guidelines for online registration and submission of the application form are provided in Annexure “C,” which applicants must carefully follow while completing the application process.

ONLINE DOCUMENT UPLOADING PROCESS: The candidate is required to upload all relevant documents on the official website within the prescribed time period. The online document upload process shall be carried out through the same website by logging in with the candidate’s registered username and password. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that all necessary and relevant documents are properly uploaded on the portal within the stipulated deadline.

General Instructions for filling online application Form :

Applicants are requested to follow the detailed procedures/guidelines as indicated below:

1. Application Registration Procedure : Applicants should visit www.mahacet.org and open the relevant link to access the Online Application Form by clicking on “APPLY ONLINE,” which will redirect to a new screen. For registration, applicants must select “Click here for New Registration” and enter their name, contact details, and email ID, upon which a Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated and displayed; these credentials should be carefully noted, and will also be sent via Email and SMS. If unable to complete the form in one session, applicants may use the “SAVE AND NEXT” option to save entered data and review or modify details before final submission. Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify all information, as no changes will be permitted after clicking the “FINAL SUBMIT” button. The applicant’s name and father’s name must be entered exactly as shown on official certificates and mark sheets, as any discrepancy may lead to disqualification. Applicants should validate their details by clicking “Validate your details” and “Save & Next,” then upload their photograph and signature in accordance with the prescribed guidelines for scanning and uploading. After completing all sections of the form, candidates must use the “Preview” tab to review the entire application, make corrections if necessary, and click “FINAL SUBMIT ONLY” after ensuring that all details, including photograph and signature, are accurate. Thereafter, applicants should proceed to the “Payment” tab, complete the payment process, and click “Submit.” Once the form is finally submitted, no changes shall be permitted.
2. Payment of Fees procedure : The application form is integrated with a secure payment gateway, and the fee payment must be completed by following the prescribed online instructions. Payment may be made using Debit Cards (Ru Pay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, or Mobile Wallets. After entering payment details, applicants must wait for confirmation from the server and should not press the back or refresh button to avoid double charges. Upon successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated; non-generation of the e-Receipt indicates payment failure. In such cases, applicants should log in again using their Provisional Registration Number and Password and repeat the payment process. Candidates are required to print the e-Receipt and the submitted online application form, as failure to generate these documents may indicate that the transaction was unsuccessful. For credit card users, all charges are processed in Indian Rupees, and if a non-Indian credit card is used, the issuing bank will convert the amount into the local currency as per prevailing exchange rates. To ensure data security, applicants should close the browser window after completing the transaction. A facility to print the application form containing fee details will be available only after successful payment, and no other mode of fee payment shall be accepted.

PHYSICAL DOCUMENT VERIFICATION PROCESS : The Candidate will have to report at the allotted college with her/his Original Documents for physical verification and admission. The candidate should report personally (proxy not allowed) to the respective allotted College, for the physical Document Verification and admission.

Note: Candidates belonging to reserved categories who fail to produce the required Caste Validity Certificate at the time of physical document verification shall be treated as Open Merit candidates, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria. Similarly, candidates from DT-A (VJ), NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC, and SEBC categories who do not possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate (valid up to 31/03/2026) at the time of verification shall also be considered under the Open Merit category, provided they meet the prescribed eligibility requirements. Such candidates without Caste Validity and/or NCL certificates will be eligible for consideration only if they satisfy the criteria applicable to the Open category. Applicants belonging to the Special Backward Class (SBC) shall be treated as OBC candidates and must produce a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (Annexure “D”). Likewise, EWS category candidates who fail to produce a valid EWS Eligibility Certificate in the prescribed State Government format for the Academic Year 2025–26 at the time of physical document verification shall be considered as Open Merit candidates, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.

PROVISIONAL STATE MERIT LIST (SML): The Competent Authority shall prepare a Provisional State Merit List of eligible candidates for MH-Nursing CET 2025 based on the marks secured in the entrance examination. Selection of candidates shall be made strictly on the basis of their provisional merit in MH-Nursing CET 2025. In the event that two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the entrance examination, the inter-se merit shall be determined in the following order of preference: the candidate securing higher marks in Biology in MH-Nursing CET 2025 shall be ranked higher; if the tie persists, the candidate with higher marks in Chemistry shall be given preference; if still unresolved, the candidate with higher marks in Physics shall be preferred; and if the tie continues thereafter, the older candidate shall be ranked above the younger candidate.

Post Basic BSc Nursing:-

Eligibility Criteria: Only candidates holding Indian citizenship shall be eligible for admission, and a valid Certificate of Nationality must be submitted as proof. The maximum age limit as on 31st July 2025 shall be 45 years for candidates belonging to the Open category and 50 years for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Examination or equivalent examination recognized in Maharashtra State with English subject.

Reservation:

Selection Process: The Provisional Merit List of eligible candidates shall be displayed on the notice board of the Principal’s office of the respective nursing colleges. Any objections submitted by candidates regarding the Provisional Merit List shall be duly considered, and necessary corrections, if any, will be made and published within the timeframe specified in the Admission Brochure. Candidates qualified as per the merit list must report for counselling on the scheduled date, along with all original documents, at their preferred nursing colleges as mentioned in the Information Brochure. The final selection list, prepared on the basis of merit during the counselling process, shall be published at the designated location, and selection orders will be issued by the respective institutes. Candidates who fail to join the allotted institute on 01.08.2025 shall forfeit all claims to the allotted seat, and such vacant seats will be filled from the waiting list as per the applicable quota within the prescribed period. The final decision regarding the selection process shall rest with the Selection Committee. At the time of admission, candidates must submit all original documents to the Principal of the concerned institution and pay the prescribed fees. Final admission shall be subject to approval by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. It is further clarified that candidates who fail to report to the institute after selection or do not complete the required formalities within the stipulated time shall not be eligible for admission for the next two years. In case of cancellation of admission after the University’s cut-off date or failure to complete the course within four years, a penalty of ₹1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand only) shall be payable for lapse of the seat. All legal matters pertaining to the admission process of the courses shall fall within the appropriate jurisdiction as specified by the competent authority.

Merit List- Merit List will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in all years of General Nursing and Midwifery examination or Basic B.Sc. Nursing examination.

M.Sc Nursing:

Eligibility Criteria: The candidates having Indian citizenship will be eligible for admission. (Certificate of Nationality must be attached). Maximum age limit will be 45 years for the General category and 50 years for reserved category as on 31/07/2025. The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination recognized in the State of Maharashtra, with English as a subject. Candidates whose parents are natives of Maharashtra but who have passed the Secondary School Examination and/or Higher Secondary Examination from an institution located outside the State shall also be eligible for admission, provided they submit the original Domicile Certificate duly issued and signed by the competent authority.

Educational Qualifications to be considered for selection process: The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in all years examination of Basic B.Sc Nursing / P.B.B.Sc Nursing / P.B.B.Sc. (IGNOU). If the candidates get equal marks in under graduate course, the following procedure will be adopted to determine the inter merit in respect of them: -

1. First-Preference: Aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in the Higher Secondary School Examination (Std 12th) will be taken in to consideration while deciding the first preference.
2. Second-Preference: Aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in the SSC (Std10th) will be taken in to consideration while deciding the second preference.
3. Third Preference: The candidate those who are senior by age will be given preference.
