The Government of Maharashtra has established "ADMISSIONS REGULATING AUTHORITY AND STATE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST CELL" as per the provisions of Maharashtra unaided private professional Educational Institutes (Regulation of Admission & Fees) Act.2015, (herein after the act). As per the act, the State Government has published the rules in Maharashtra Government Gazette No. MED-1016/CR 69/16/Edu-2, Dated 19/08/2016 (Annexure -L). As per Government of Maharashtra MEDD letter no. MED-1023/C.R.19/23/EDU-2 dated 27/04/2023, The Commissioner of State CET Cell, has been designated as Competent Authority for conducting MH-Nursing CET 2025 entrance examination and selection of candidates for admission to the concerned course for the academic year 2025-2026 (Annexure - J).
Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must be an Indian national. Proof of nationality shall be established through a Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, or through a valid passport, or a School Leaving Certificate of HSC/12th standard clearly indicating the candidate’s nationality as “Indian.” The candidate must be a domicile of Maharashtra, except those falling under Clause 6.3, 6.4, 6.10, 6.11, and Annexure–E. For eligibility in MH-Nursing CET 2025, candidates belonging to the Open and EWS categories must secure a minimum of 50th percentile marks. Candidates belonging to constitutional reservation categories (excluding EWS) and those under constitutional reservation with Persons with Disabilities (PwD) claim must secure at least 40th percentile marks. Persons with Disabilities in the General and EWS categories must obtain not less than the 45th percentile marks in MH-Nursing CET 2025, or as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council from time to time, in accordance with the Revised Regulations and Curriculum for B.Sc. (Nursing) Programme – Corrigendum, Regulations, 2022, dated 8 April 2022.

INFORMATION BROCHURE AND ONLINE APPLICATION FORM: The Competent Authority shall publish a notification regarding the online application process for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course in the State of Maharashtra. The Information Brochure detailing the admission procedure for MH-Nursing CET 2025 will be made available on the official website, www.mahacet.org. Candidates seeking admission through MH-Nursing CET 2025 are required to submit a single prescribed online application form (Annexure “C”). The application fee for MH-Nursing CET 2025 is ₹1000/-, which is non-refundable. Before filling out the online application form, candidates must download and carefully read the Information Brochure to ensure they fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria and educational qualifications. Prior to final submission, candidates should thoroughly review the conditions stated under “Declaration by the Candidate” and confirm their acceptance of these terms before submitting the application form.
ONLINE DOCUMENT UPLOADING PROCESS: The candidate is required to upload all relevant documents on the official website within the prescribed time period. The online document upload process shall be carried out through the same website by logging in with the candidate’s registered username and password. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that all necessary and relevant documents are properly uploaded on the portal within the stipulated deadline.

Applicants are requested to follow the detailed procedures/guidelines as indicated below:
PHYSICAL DOCUMENT VERIFICATION PROCESS : The Candidate will have to report at the allotted college with her/his Original Documents for physical verification and admission. The candidate should report personally (proxy not allowed) to the respective allotted College, for the physical Document Verification and admission.
Note: Candidates belonging to reserved categories who fail to produce the required Caste Validity Certificate at the time of physical document verification shall be treated as Open Merit candidates, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria. Similarly, candidates from DT-A (VJ), NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC, and SEBC categories who do not possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate (valid up to 31/03/2026) at the time of verification shall also be considered under the Open Merit category, provided they meet the prescribed eligibility requirements. Such candidates without Caste Validity and/or NCL certificates will be eligible for consideration only if they satisfy the criteria applicable to the Open category. Applicants belonging to the Special Backward Class (SBC) shall be treated as OBC candidates and must produce a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (Annexure “D”). Likewise, EWS category candidates who fail to produce a valid EWS Eligibility Certificate in the prescribed State Government format for the Academic Year 2025–26 at the time of physical document verification shall be considered as Open Merit candidates, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
PROVISIONAL STATE MERIT LIST (SML): The Competent Authority shall prepare a Provisional State Merit List of eligible candidates for MH-Nursing CET 2025 based on the marks secured in the entrance examination. Selection of candidates shall be made strictly on the basis of their provisional merit in MH-Nursing CET 2025. In the event that two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the entrance examination, the inter-se merit shall be determined in the following order of preference: the candidate securing higher marks in Biology in MH-Nursing CET 2025 shall be ranked higher; if the tie persists, the candidate with higher marks in Chemistry shall be given preference; if still unresolved, the candidate with higher marks in Physics shall be preferred; and if the tie continues thereafter, the older candidate shall be ranked above the younger candidate.
Eligibility Criteria: Only candidates holding Indian citizenship shall be eligible for admission, and a valid Certificate of Nationality must be submitted as proof. The maximum age limit as on 31st July 2025 shall be 45 years for candidates belonging to the Open category and 50 years for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Examination or equivalent examination recognized in Maharashtra State with English subject.

Selection Process: The Provisional Merit List of eligible candidates shall be displayed on the notice board of the Principal’s office of the respective nursing colleges. Any objections submitted by candidates regarding the Provisional Merit List shall be duly considered, and necessary corrections, if any, will be made and published within the timeframe specified in the Admission Brochure. Candidates qualified as per the merit list must report for counselling on the scheduled date, along with all original documents, at their preferred nursing colleges as mentioned in the Information Brochure. The final selection list, prepared on the basis of merit during the counselling process, shall be published at the designated location, and selection orders will be issued by the respective institutes. Candidates who fail to join the allotted institute on 01.08.2025 shall forfeit all claims to the allotted seat, and such vacant seats will be filled from the waiting list as per the applicable quota within the prescribed period. The final decision regarding the selection process shall rest with the Selection Committee. At the time of admission, candidates must submit all original documents to the Principal of the concerned institution and pay the prescribed fees. Final admission shall be subject to approval by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. It is further clarified that candidates who fail to report to the institute after selection or do not complete the required formalities within the stipulated time shall not be eligible for admission for the next two years. In case of cancellation of admission after the University’s cut-off date or failure to complete the course within four years, a penalty of ₹1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand only) shall be payable for lapse of the seat. All legal matters pertaining to the admission process of the courses shall fall within the appropriate jurisdiction as specified by the competent authority.

Admission forms will not be considered unless the following conditions are met:

Merit List- Merit List will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in all years of General Nursing and Midwifery examination or Basic B.Sc. Nursing examination.
Eligibility Criteria: The candidates having Indian citizenship will be eligible for admission. (Certificate of Nationality must be attached). Maximum age limit will be 45 years for the General category and 50 years for reserved category as on 31/07/2025. The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination recognized in the State of Maharashtra, with English as a subject. Candidates whose parents are natives of Maharashtra but who have passed the Secondary School Examination and/or Higher Secondary Examination from an institution located outside the State shall also be eligible for admission, provided they submit the original Domicile Certificate duly issued and signed by the competent authority.
