Admission To POST BASIC B.SC. NURSING

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences will invite applications for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2 years Duration) Course to Government College of Nursing, Jaipur (100% of the sanctioned seats), Government self-financed Colleges (100% of the sanctioned seats), and Private Nursing Colleges (only 50% of the sanctioned seats) affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for the session.

Private Nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled by Rajasthan Private Nursing Schools & Colleges Federation..

Application Form Fee

All candidates have to pay a non-refundable online application form fee of Rs.1500/- ( Rs.750/- for SC/ST and PH category candidates) + e-Mitra Service Charge as per Govt. Rules at any eMitra authorized by the Government of Rajasthan or using http://emitra.gov.in/.

The online application form fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, and nonadjustable. Any plea in this matter will not be entertained.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

Eligibility Criteria For Non-Service Candidates

The candidate must fulfill the criteria for eligibility as listed below

1. Should have passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10 +2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University/Board.

2. Should have obtained a Diploma in General nursing and midwifery before the implementation of new integrated course and should be registered as Registered Nurse and midwife with their respective State Nursing Council.

3. Should have obtained a Diploma in general nursing and Midwifery after the implementation of the new integrated course and registered as Registered Nurse and midwife with their respective State Nursing Council

4. The candidate should have undergone GNM with an institution that should be recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

5. A candidate shall be medically fit

Eligibility Criteria For In-Service Candidates (Rajasthan State Government Employees)

In addition to the eligibility criteria prescribed for non-service candidates, the in-service candidate must also fulfill the eligibility criteria as listed below:

1. The Candidates should be in – service of the Government of Rajasthan.

2. He/she should have completed at least two years of continuous service after a regular appointment by the Government of Rajasthan. The Candidate would be required to submit a certificate to the above effect duly signed by the Director, Medical & Health Services, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur

AGE:- There is no age limit for admission to post basic B.Sc. Nursing

Reservation:-

The reservation of seats will be made subject to statutory provisions enacted by the State of Rajasthan.

a) The percentage of female candidates shall not be less than 50% of the total seats in all categories. (As per Ordinances Related to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing- 0.299-PB-1)

b) 16%, 12%, 21%, 5%, and 10% of total seats will be reserved for natural born candidates of SC, ST, OBC, MBC (More Backward Caste), and EWS (Economically weaker section) respectively as notified in the presidential order for the state of Rajasthan Govt. orders. (0.299-PB-5).

c) 45% seats out of total ST seats will be reserved for STA candidates

Admission Procedure:-

Selection of the candidate will be made strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination. with 1% bonus marks on completion of every 2 years of nursing services under the Rajasthan State Government. Bonus marks will not be awarded in fractions ( in-service candidate has to produce no objection certificate or copy of relieving orders from the state Govt.. or employer at the time of joining the course) no candidate will be allowed to serve in any other institute during the course of study

Entrance Examination:-

The computer-based entrance examination will be conducted online (at the examination center Jaipur). The details of the entrance examination will be available on the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) website. Admit cards can be downloaded only on the date of examination. Candidates are informed of the examination center by SMS or Email early on the day of examination. Medium of instruction English and Hindi for entrance examination if any discrepancy there is the English Version get Priority. There will not be any Negative Marking. here shall be one paper of 2hrs duration containing 120 multiple choice questions. The entrance examination for seeking admission in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing shall be on the standard of the GNM course (Scheme- I, II, III).

Scheme- I:- Candidate who passed two years GNM course.

Scheme- II:- Candidate who passed three years GNM course.

Scheme- III:- Candidate who passed 3 1 /2 years GNM course

Counseling:

  • The allotment of the college shall be made by computer software by strictly following the order of merit in the entrance examination with bonus marks Seats available in each college and the priority of choice/option of the college filled by the candidate in the online application form.
  • In case of the tie position between two or more than two Candidates selection shall be made in following order (a) Numbers of attempts for passing General Nursing and midwifery Examination (less attempt get preference) (b) Date of Birth of the candidate, older will get preference (c) Percentage of marks obtained at the higher sec. Or Sr. secondary examination respectively be considered
  • After allotment of college, candidates will be informed about their allotment at RUHS. Website Candidate is required to take a printout of the allotment letter using the candidate login option and report at the allotted college.
  • Admissions on the vacant seats, shall be made by second online counseling.

GNM Admission Process 2024 – RAJASTHAN UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, JAIPUR (RUHS)

    • 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
    • Candidates with disabilities (PwD) – 5% reservation.

    • Minimum: 17 years
    • Maximum: 35 years as of 31st December 2024.
  • Medical Fitness:
    • Candidates should be medically fit and must provide a fitness certificate at the time of admission.

Bond and Penalty (For Govt. Colleges)

  • Bond Requirement: Candidates allotted a seat in Government colleges may need to submit a bond for ₹50,000.
  • Penalty: If a candidate discontinues after the second round of counselling, a penalty of ₹50,000 will be imposed.
