The Tripura Medical College and Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital is situated at Hapania, West Tripura, which was once a small village and is about 7 KM away from Agartala. The area is now included under the Agartala Municipal Corporation. Initially, there was a State level Hospital here. Later, the State Government decided to establish a Medical College taking the said Hospital as Teaching Hospital and accordingly in the year 2005, on the approach of the State Government, the Global Educational Net (GENET) came forward and established a Medical College in PPP Model with intake capacity of 100 students in 1st year MBBS course with teaching hospital of 300 beds. The State Government provided GENET 25 acres of land and also allowed GENET to utilize existing State hospital as its teaching hospital. This College is courses are recognized by Tripura Nursing Council, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, and affiliated to Tripura University.

B.Sc. Nursing

Eligibility:

• Age of candidates should not be more than 25 years & less than 17 years on 1st August of the year of admission.
• The minimum education qualification is HS(10+2) school certificate examination(12 years course) pass. An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university.
• Minimum marks : science(PCB) & English with minimum aggregates marks of 45% for general & 40% for ST/SC candidates.
• Candidates shall be medically fit.

4: Commencement of the Course: 1st September each year

M.Sc. Nursing

1. Duration: 2 years
2.Intake: 10 seats. Two in each specialty.
3.Eligibility :

• The candidates should be registered nurse & registered midwife (RN&RM) or equivalent to any state nursing registration council.
• The minimum education requirements shall be passing of B.sc (H) nursing/ B.Sc. Nursing/post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregates marks for general & 5% relaxable for SC/ST candidates.
• Age limit as on 31 July of the year of admission 45 years.
• Candidates should have undergone in B.sc (H) nursing/ B.Sc. Nursing/post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by INC.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience after passing basic B.Sc. Nursing. Minimum 1 year of work experience prior to or after post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
• Candidates shall be medically fit.

N.B: 3% disability reservation to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will be same as prescribed for each nursing programme.

4. Commencement of the Course: 1st September each year

How to apply:

Interested candidates can obtain the information brochure cum prospectus along with application form attached directly from the office of the principal, Tripura college of nursing personally/ through representative on all working days i.e from 11.00 AM to 3.00 P.M on payment of Rs.1500/- ( Rupees one thousand five hundred) only by A/c Payee Demand draft in favor of " Society for TMC & Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital", Hapania, West Tripura, payable at Agartala through SBI or any other nationalized banks.

The application form attached with the information Brochure cum prospectus can also be downloaded from the website of TMC & Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital (www.tmc.nic.in). The downloaded application form shall accompany the A/C payee Demand Draft amounting to Rs. 1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred) only during submission of application. Please ensure that the demand draft bears code number of issuing bank the candidate must his/her name clearly on the back of the demand draft.

The duly filled in application and admit card forms along with the documents to be enclosed should reach the office of the principal, Tripura College of Nursing, Hapania, Agartala (PIN- 799014) by registered post/ speed post/ in person by the scheduled date and time positively.

Method of selection:

The selection of the candidates shall be strictly on the basis of merit. The entrance test will be conducted with the eligible applicants. The entrance test will be conducted in English only and shall be of objective type.
