Admission Process

B.Sc. Nursing: Bachelor in Science (Nursing):

B.Sc. Nursing takes a forward thinking and dynamic approach to health care education. Nursing duties at the clinical side cover a wide range of skills like bed-side care of the patients, managing geriatric, psychiatric, intensive care, paediatric patients etc. Nursing duties are also included in the field of administration and record keeping. Nursing is a professional practice of caring for people and calls for intelligence and empathy. This degree aims to provide students with the personal and professional qualities and skills associated with becoming an effective nurse. Competence in clinical, theoretical, ethical, Intellectual and cross disciplinary knowledge is accomplished through a combination of academic and practical learning.

M.Sc. Nursing:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

ANM: Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery:

Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery is a Medical Nursing Course which deals with the field of science and covers healthcare profession focused on the care individuals, families and communities so that they may attain, maintain and recover optimal health. Nurses are engaged in dispensing medication, setting up medical equipment, keeping records of patient health care team. Nurses are engaged in dispensing medication, setting up medical equipment, keeping records of patient’s progress, administration and several other routine chores. At the initial level, nurses are required for the bedside care of patients, while at senior level they are required to manage special group of people like psychiatric, paediatric, intensive care patient etc. that requires specialized skill.

Admission Procedure :

The admission for nursing course of TIPS is usually done through Common Entrance Test conducted by TIPS

management & selection is based on the merit of examination.

Enrolment Criteria

School of Nursing: ANM

– The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought

– The maximum educational requirement shall be 10+2 in any stream from any recognized board

– Students found Medically fit by the medical examination committee

– Passing of Common Entrance Test conducted by Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences

– Students shall be admitted once in a year

– Aadhar Card is must as a proof of Indian Nationality/ Permanent Resident Certificate

College of Nursing: B.Sc. Nursing

– Educational qualification should be H.S. (+2) examination (from any recognized board) passed with at least 45% marks in science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English. 5% relaxation for SC/ST

– The minimum age for the admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought

– Passing of Common Entrance Test conducted by Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences

– Students found medically fit by the medical examination committee

– Student shall be admitted once in a year

How to Apply

The Application Form attached with the information Brochure-Cum-Prospectus can also be downloaded from www.tipsindia.co.in. The downloaded Application Form shall accompany the A/C Payee Demand Draft amounting to Rs.1000/- during submission of the Application. Please ensure that the Demand Draft bears Code Number of issuing bank. The candidate must write his/her name clearly on the back of the Demand Draft.

The dully filled in Application and Admit Card Forms along with the documents to be enclosed should reach the Office of the Principal, TIPS (Nursing), Tripura Institute Of Paramedical Sciences, Hapania, Tripura (West), 799014 or D.S. Bhawan, 28 Gorkha Basti, P.O. – Kunjaban, Agartala, Pin: 799006, Tripura (West) by Registered Post/ Speed Post/ in person by the scheduled date and time positively.

# The authority shall not be held responsible for any postal delay under any situation Self-attested photocopies of the documents mentioned below is required to be enclosed with the

Application:

1. Aadhar Card is must as a proof of Nationality/ Permanent Resident Certificate

2. Pass Certificate of the SSLC/ Madhyamik Examination as a proof of age

3. Mark sheet of Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or any equivalent examination from the recognized board.

4. ST/SC or category certificate from the Competent Authority (where applicable)

5. One recent passport size photograph to be affixed on the Application Form and two recent passport size photographs to be affixed on the Admit Card

6. Nationalized Bank Draft of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) (in case of downloaded Application Form only) At the time of counselling on call after the entrance exam result, all of the above documents are to be produced in original along with one photocopy of each attested by a Gazetted officer there on.
