Admission Process

The UPCNET examination including BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing, along with nurse practitioner in critical care (NPCC) (two years). B.Sc. Nursing Course (4 Years)

Examination Fee:- Candidates for the entrance test will have to pay a fee of Rs.3000/- for Unreserved/Other Backward Classes (UR/OBC) and Rs.2000/- for SC/ST/PwD.

Eligibility Criteria Age: -

Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2024.
The maximum age limit for admission is 35 years for Unreserved (UR), OBC, EWS, SC and ST, however the maximum age for candidates with Physical Disability (PD/PwD) will be 40 years. (As per INC regulation).

Minimum qualifications for admission are as per INC Regulation: -

Candidates with Science who have passed qualifying 12thStandard examination (10+2)and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together and passed in English individually from any recognized board.
In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in 3 core subjects shall be 40% instead of 45% for General Category candidates.
English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility for admission in B.Sc. Nursing.
Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by central government having Science subjects and English only.
Color Blind candidates are eligible provided that color corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
The selection of candidates will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board appointed by the University.

Steps for Filling Application Form

Step 1: Candidate Registration:

Candidates should visit the official website of the ABVMU University - www.abvmuup.edu.in and Click on the Link for Common Entrance Test (CET) 2024-25.
Candidates should first register by clicking the “Register > Login > Pay > Fill Form” button for B.Sc. Nursing.
During the registration process the candidates will have to submit the following information:

Upon successful completion of the registration form, the candidate will receive his/her Registration Id number on their registered mobile number and email address.
Information submitted at this stage will be auto filled in the Personal Information Section (Stage 1) of the application form
Primary Information submitted during registration cannot be changed or altered at any later stage

Step 2: Login & Fee Payment:

Once the candidate has successfully registered, they are required to login into the Application portal by clicking “Register > Login > Pay > Fill Form” button for B.Sc. Nursing
To login, the candidate will be required to submit their Unique Registration Id Number and Date of Birth to successfully log into the B.Sc. Nursing CNET 2024Applicant Dashboard. The Unique Registration ID Number and Date of Birth should match for a successful login
If a candidate forgets their Registration Id number, they can click on “Forgot Registration Id Number” to receive their Unique Registration Id number on their registered mobile number via a SMS/EMAIL
Once the candidate has successfully logged into the CNET 2024 Applicant Dashboard, they will have to click on “Pay Fee for B.Sc. Nursing” button to pay the mandatory application fee
On clicking the “Pay Fee for B.Sc. Nursing” button, the candidate will be redirected to an Online Payment Gateway to pay the Application Fee Online via a Debit Card / Credit Card/ Net Banking or UPI
If payment status is pending, the candidates can manually fetch the latest payment status by clicking on “Get Payment Status” button
In case of multiple/duplicate payments the eligible candidates will be refunded the amount in the bank account details provided for refund at the time of filling application form. The latest successful payment will be considered for filling the application form and any old payments will be refunded
Candidates will receive a payment receipt upon a successful payment confirmation from the bank
Once the payment is confirmed, the candidates will be able to see a “Fill Form” button to fill the application form

Step 3: Application Form Filling & Submission:

The application is a Multi-Step form that is only available once the payment has been processed
The candidate details are saved at each stage enabling the candidate to review, update or edit the application at anytime prior to final submission

Application Form - Stage3: Educational Qualifications -In case the applicant is still awaiting his/her final result, they have the option to select “Appearing” for that particular class. Please note that the candidate would still have to update the Class 12th marks during the counselling process to be eligible for Admission
Application Form - Stage 4: Photo, Signature & Verification - The format (.jpg)should be between(50-200KB size),The image dimensions should be passport 4.5 X 3.5 CM, Signature should be on a paper with white background.
Stage 5: Refund Details

Examination:-

Venue: As mentioned on the admit card.
Mode of Examination: MCQs - Objective/Multiple Choice response Questions to be answered on Optical Mark Reader Sheet (OMR sheet) using black ball point pen provided at the Center.
Number of Questions: 200
Marks: Every single correct response will get 01 mark each. No Negative Markings for incorrect response and/or more than one response. Medium of Examination: English
Syllabus: Nursing Aptitude(20%), Physics (20%),Chemistry (20%), Biology(20%), English and General Knowledge (20%) of Intermediate Standard (Class 12)

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

The minimum qualifying criteria of entrance test to admission to B.Sc. Nursing is as under:

General - 50th percentile
General- PwD - 45th percentile SC/ST/OBC- 40th percentile

Result:

Declaration of results of Entrance Examination will be announced on the official website of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow (www.abvmuup.edu.in)
The merit list will be prepared from the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination. A combined merit list and category wise merit list will be drawn
The inter-se-merit of candidates for tie-breaking: In case of two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the CNET 2024 -25, the inter-se-merit shall be determined as follows:

Candidate obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by
Candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the Test, followed by,
Candidate obtaining higher marks in Physics in the Test, followed by,
Intermediate (10+2) examination marks percentage (if in case the marks are same the inter merit ranking of individual marks in order of Biology, Chemistry, Physics will be considered).

ROUND 1

Eligibility

All the candidates who have been listed as qualified for counselling in the result notification will be able to participate in the counselling subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria as prescribed in Examination Information Brochure.

Registration Process

Registration Process Online Registration for counselling will be done by candidate through the official CNET 2024 website - www.abvmuup.edu.in. The registration process is as follows:
Eligible candidates will be able to register for counselling through their existing log-in (Same as used at the time of filling the Application form). To log into the portal candidates should visit www.abvmuup.edu.in and log in using their CNET 2024 Registration ID and DOB.
During registration, all primary information like Candidate Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name & Date of Birth (DOB), Category, Sub-category and Address will be automatically pre-filled as submitted by the candidate during CNET 2024 registration.
Candidates who had marked Appearing in 12thStandard examination (10+2) board examination during the application process have to update the (10+2) marks
Candidates will also have to upload the a. Highschool certificate (Class 10th) and b. 12thStandard examination (10+2) Intermediate mark sheet/ statement of marks
Candidates will have to update their Domicile status Uttar Pradesh state (Yes/No), Minority status (Christian/Jain/Muslim/Not Applicable) details and upload the certificates for a. Domicile status (if applicable) b. Minority status (if applicable) c. Category and/or Sub-category certificate (if applicable).
Candidate can also update their Gender information if filled wrong in the format the time of filling the application form
The candidate will have to deposit a. INR 500/- as Counselling Registration Fee online (Non-Refundable) and b. INR 5000/- as Counselling Security . Fee Both fee will be deposited online through a single payment of INR 5500 (INR 500 + INR 5000).
After the successful registration candidate can proceed to the next step of selecting colleges as per their choice and save it

Exercising of choices, Acceptance of Seat Allocation and Admission Process :-

The online seat allocation portal will allow the candidates to make choices of college and arrange them in desired order of preference. The candidate can make any number of choices and can edit and re-order within the date and time specified in schedule. They are advised to fill as many choices to avoid rejection in admission. The Counselling Portal will be opened for dates as per schedule. The choices made by the candidate should be saved by the candidate before log-out. Candidates can make changes in the saved preferences/choices as many times as he/she wish. The preferred choices will be automatically locked on the last Date and Time specified in the schedule .Candidates should take a printout of their choices after locking on the last Date and Time specified in the schedule.

Allocated seats:-

All the candidates who have been allocated seats in the Round 1 are required to login to the portal and choose any one of the following options within date and time specified in the schedule:

Option1 ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in Round 2 of Counselling (Freeze)
Option2 ACCEPT allotted seat and WANTS TO UPGRADE AND PARTICIPATE in Round 2 of counselling (Float)
Option3 DECLINE allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in Round 2 of counselling (Decline).

All the candidates who are allocated seats and exercised Option 1 and 2 are mandatorily required to deposit Seat Confirmation Fee of INR 40000/- (Rupees Forty thousand only) to ABVMU UP through online/challan transfer mode. This amount will be transferred to the allotted college and adjusted against tuition fee after completion of all rounds counselling process.
On reporting to allotted college, the candidate is required to pay an Admission/Administrative Fee of INR 2000/- in the College, which will be adjusted against his/her total fee. In case the candidate leaves/changes the allotted college in further round of counselling, the Admission/Administrative Fee (INR 2000/-) will be forfeited by the college.
The candidates are required to carry the original certificates along with one (01) set of Self-attested photocopy of Documents/Certificates at the time of reporting to the allotted college

Medical fitness certificate
The candidate should also bring the following certificate(s), if applicable:

SC/ST caste Certificate issued by the competent authority (Tehsildar) of Uttar Pradesh only.
OBC/EWS Certificate issued by the competent authority issued on or after 1st April 2024. The category should be mentioned in the List of OBC-NCL (Non Creamy Layer) of Uttar Pradesh.
Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus.
Dependent of Freedom Fighter certificate issued from District Magistrate.
Valid Ex-Servicemen (ESM) certificate issued from competent authority.
Valid NCC certificate ‘C’ certificate with grade B issued by authorized battalion on prescribed format for NCC.
Minority certificate (Christian/Jain/Muslim) where applicable for minority institutions

ROUND 2

Following candidates will be eligible to participate in Round 2 of counselling

All candidates who have not participated in Round 1
All candidates who have participated in Round 1 of counselling and have not been allotted any seat in any college
All candidates who have been allotted a seat in college and have selected Option2 ACCEPT allotted seat and WANTS TO UPGRADE AND PARTICIPATE in Round 2 of counselling (Float)
All candidates who have been allotted a seat in college and have selected Option3 DECLINE allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in Round 2 of counselling (Decline).

Following candidates will not be eligible to participate in Round 2 of counselling : - Candidates who have participated in Round 1 and have selected the optionOption1. ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in Round 2 of Counselling (Freeze)

(Candidates who have already deposited INR 40000/- in Round 1 and have selected the option to Participate in Round 2 are not required to re-deposit)

NOTE:-

If any candidate reshuffles their existing seat and gets new upgraded seat in Round 2, his/her Round 1 allotted seat will be automatically cancelled. It is mandatory for the candidate to take admission in upgraded seat of Round 2 counselling.
If candidate’s seat is not upgraded/reshuffled in Round 2 counselling his/her Round 1 allotted seat will be retained.

Online On Campus / Off Campus Mop up Round

Mop up counselling may be held in Online Off Campus or Online On Campus mode depending on the availability of seats and prevailing situations at the time of Mop up round of counselling Eligibility

Eligibility Following candidates will be eligible to participate in Mop up round of counselling

All candidates who have not participated in any previous round of counselling
All candidates who have participated in Round 1 and 2 and have not been allotted any college
All candidates who have completed the admission process in Round 1 or 2 can also participate in the Mop up round but they have to resign from their allotted seat before registration. They will not have any claim on the previously allotted seat. The allotted seat and security fee INR 5000/- will be forfeited.

Following candidates will not be eligible to participate in Mop up round of counselling - All candidates who have participated and allotted seat in Round 1 and 2 and have not resigned.

For Online Off Campus mode:-
