Eligibility criteria : Under JENPAS (UG)-2025, admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course in Government colleges is restricted to female candidates only. In private colleges, female candidates are generally eligible for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course; however, a few private colleges are exclusively designated for male candidates. For all other courses under JENPAS (UG)-2025, both male and female candidates are eligible for admission in both Government and private colleges.

Ranking Methodology and Merit Lists: WBJEEB will prepare merit ranks based on the candidates’ score in the Common Entrance Test. Individual candidates will be able to view and download his/her Rank Card, which will contain score and rank. WBJEEB does not publish any rank/score list for public to ensure confidentiality to each individual candidate.
Based on the papers (subjects) appeared for and the marks scored, two separate Merit Ranks shall be generated in the following method:
Document verification: Admit cards and rank cards are issued solely on the basis of the information provided by the candidates, and all verifications are conducted by the allotted institute during and after the counselling process. Candidates should not presume that the personal details mentioned in the admit card or rank card have been approved or verified by the Board. If, during document verification, any information furnished by a candidate is found to be incorrect, incomplete, or unsupported by valid certificates or documents as per the applicable rules on the date of verification, such information shall be corrected or modified accordingly, which may render the candidate ineligible for some or all seats or courses. Furthermore, if at any stage during or after counselling it is discovered that any information or document submitted by the candidate is false or incorrect, the candidature shall be liable to cancellation, even if the candidate has secured a merit rank and/or has been allotted a seat. Therefore, securing a rank does not confer any right or guarantee of admission unless all prescribed eligibility criteria are duly fulfilled.

Counselling, seat allotment, and admission shall be conducted strictly on the basis of GMR only, and not on category ranks, which are provided solely for informational purposes. Eligibility criteria:- Candidates must have passed any of the following courses from Institutes recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and obtained registration/RNRM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any State of India: B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing through distance education. They must have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate across all academic years. For WB State Government employees, the maximum age on the last date of application is 53 years, while there is no upper age limit for others, including ESI and Central Government employees. WB State Government employees must have a minimum of 3 years’ work experience after the publication of the qualifying examination result and by the last date of application, and must submit a ‘Letter of Permission’ from the competent authority at the time of admission as per the West Bengal Nursing Personnel Rules, 2009. Other candidates must have at least 1 year of work experience after the publication of the final result and by the last date of application, as applicable to their respective courses. Candidates must follow all instructions issued by the Nursing Directorate, Department of H&FW, Government of West Bengal.
Note: Pass’ refers to successfully passing both theory and practical components separately, where applicable, and also to the completion of all course requirements, including the internship, before admission.

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from any recognized Board and completed the GNM course from an Institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, obtaining registration/RNRM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any State of India. Similarly, if at any stage during or after counselling/admission it is found on scrutiny that the information/document(s) provided by the candidate is false/incorrect, his/her candidature is liable to be treated as cancelled even if he/she secured a Merit Rank and/or a seat has been allotted to the candidate. Hence, securing a Rank does not constitute a right/guarantee in favour of a candidate for his/her claim for admission if he/she fails to comply with the required criteria.
