College Of Nursing S V B P Hospital, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. In 1975, the school of Nursing was initiated with GNM Diploma course of 3 years and 6 months with seat capacity of 66 students. In 2006, Central govt decided to upgrade this nursing school to B.Sc. Nursing College. In 2007, College of Nursing, Meerut, was ordain to upgrade from nursing school to B.Sc. Nursing College, as directed by Health and Family welfare Ministry of Indian Government. In 2012, B.Sc. Nursing course was started after getting affiliation from Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi with seat capacity of 50 students as first Government Nursing College in Uttar Pradesh. In 2017, honorable Chief Ministers felicitated his direction towards enhancement of seats from 50 to 100. In sequence of this, affiliation of 100 seats has been acquired from CCS University, Meerut and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. In January 2018, College of Nursing, Meerut was declared as State Nodal Centre/Centre of Excellence by Government of India. In which 6 weeks Training of Nursing Faculty is conducted by NHM for "Strengthening Pre-service Education for the Nursing Midwifery Cadre in India. In January 2019, "Bridge Program for Certificate in Community Health for Nurses" six months course with seat capacity of 60 seats started. Affiliated by Gol and IGNOU. (at present affiliated by KGMU, Lucknow and renamed as "Certificate in Community Health for Nurses") course. It is Affiliated to CCS University, Meerut.

Auxiliary Nurse Midwife Course is the 2 year certificate program. The aim of ANM course is to prepare skilled and efficient health workers to achieve the goals of National Rural Health Mission.
The program fits into the general educational pattern as well as nursing educational system
General Nursing and midwifery is a 3 yr diploma program. The aims of the diploma in GNM is to prepare nurses with a sound educational program in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team, for the help in the prevention of disease & promotion of health
B. Sc. Nursing course is 4 year of degree program which follows the syllabus prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council. The aim of this nursing course is to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services, who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of individuals in pursuit of health.
