Admission Process

Procedure for admission to ANM, GNM courses in Government/ Private Nursing

The Haryana Nurses and Nurse-Midwives Council, Panchkula is authorized to conduct online Combined Centralized Counselling as per the merit drawn on the basis of qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 for admission to ANM, GNM & MPHW (M) courses in Government/Private Nursing and MPHW(M) Training Schools in the State subject to verification of eligibility and original documents at the allotted institute. Students desirous of seeking admission to ANM/GNM/MPHW(M) courses will have to get registered online through a web portal managed by Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL). The details of the web portal including dates for inviting online applications and counseling schedule will be duly publicized as well as uploaded on the website of the Haryana Nurses and Nurse-Midwives Council, Panchkula i.e. www.haryananursescouncil.com, and on the website of Directorate of Medical Education and Research i.e. www.dmerharyana.org

The Registration cum Counselling fee shall be as under :-

Rs.1000/- for Unreserved Category.
Rs.750/- for BC-A & BC-B of Haryana, PWD, FF, ESM, EWS Category.
Rs.500/- for SC/ST Category of Haryana

Seat matrix:-

All the seats in Government Nursing/MPHW(M) Schools will be filled up as per the State Reservation Policy. In Private Nursing/MPHW(M) Schools covered under this notification, 50% of the seats will be filled under State Quota (Open Merit Category) and 50% seats will be under Management Category. The State Reservation policy shall be applicable to all the State Quota Seats (Open Merit Category Seats) in Private Nursing/MPHW(M) Schools

Eligibility Criteria Nursing Programs- A. N. M., G. N. M. MPHW (M)

A. N. M.

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
  • The minimum educational requirements shall be 10 + 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board.
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of Open School.
  • Student shall be admitted once in a year.

G. N. M.

Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:

  • 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable.
  • 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council.
  • 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.
  • Registered ANM with pass mark.

Procedure of admission

Admission will be made through online centralized counseling from the list of the registered candidate on the web portal as per merit in the respective category

  • The merit will be drawn separately for the candidates having passed the different qualifying exam
  • Preference will be given to candidates in the following order:-
  1. GNM
  2. ANM
  3. MPHW

For GNM

  • Candidates with Science subjects @physics, Chemistry & Biology) in qualifying exam.
  • Registered as ANM with state nurses Registration council
  • l0+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent from the School and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40%marks.
  • l0+2 with Arts o Students qualified in l0+2 Arts or Science Examination or Health Care Science Vocational stream only conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.

For ANM

  • l0+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Bio-technology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, fro6 Science, Sociology, Psychology and Philosophy) and English Core/English electives or Science or Health Care Science-vocational stream only passing out from recognized Board.
  • Students qualified in l0+i) in Arts or Science Examination conducted by National Institute of Open School

List of documents to be brought at the time of reporting to the institution

The candidates, at the time of reporting, must bring the following original certificates/documents/testimonials along with two sets of duly attested photocopies of these with them. Any candidate, who fails to produce any of the required certificate/document/testimonials at the time of reporting at the institution, will forfeit his/her claim to admission:

  1. Matriculation Certificate/High School Certificate/ICSE/Class 10th or its equivalent certificate as proof of date of birth.
  2. Having passed in qualifying examination i.e. 10+2.
  3. Certificate of good conduct/character from the Principal of the institution last attended.
  4. Service Certificate from the employer if applicable.
  5. Certificate pertaining to claims for reservation for Haryana Residents only (If claimed) Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, Physically Handicapped, Children of Deceased/Disabled/Ex-Serviceman, Dependents of Freedom Fighters, and Undertaking Haryana Domicile Certificate.
  6. As proof of identification-Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Driving Licence/ Passport/Voter ID

Procedure for admission to B.SC Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing courses in Government/Private Aided/unaided Nursing Institutions for the Academic Session

Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak is authorized to conduct Combined Centralized Counselling for admission to all the Government/Private Aided/Unaided Nursing Institutes affiliated to Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

Seat distribution of B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing,M.Sc. Nursing & Nurse Practitioner Critical Care Programme (NPCC) Courses

All the seats in Government Nursing Schools will be filled up as per the State Reservation Policy. In Private Aided/Unaided Institutions covered under this Notification, 50% of the seats will be filled under State Quota seats and the remaining 50% of seats will be filled under the Management category. Out of 50% of Management category seats, 15% of seats will be in the Non-Resident Indian (NRI Category). The State Reservation Policy shall be applicable for admission for all seats in Government Nursing College and for 50% (State Quota seats) in Private Aided/Unaided Nursing Colleges.

RESERVATION:-

Seats meant for bonafide residents of Haryana shall be reserved for the following categories for admission to various Government Institutes located in Haryana and against state quota seats in Pvt. Institutions as notified by the Government of Haryana notification issued from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria Nursing Programs B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

B. Sc. (N)

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • Minimum education:

The candidate must have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) of Board of School Education Haryana or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 45% aggregate marks for General Category, 40% marks for SC/BC in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English (PCB & E) taken together in the qualifying examination. However, the candidate must have obtained pass marks in each subject separately.

Post Basic B. Sc. (N)

(i) The candidate should have attained the age of 21 years as on 31 dec.

(ii) The candidate must have passed the following examinations:

  1. Passed the higher secondary or Senior secondary or intermediate or an equivalent examination
  2. recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done Matric/ 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
  3. Has obtained a certificate in General Nursing and midwifery and Registered as RN&RM with any State Nurses Council.
  4. Must have been declared medically fit by the competent Medical Board constituted by the institution concerned.
  5. In case of an employee of State Govt./UHSR, the candidate desirous to seek admission will have to obtain a NOC from State Government/ University of Health Sciences, Rohtak before submitting their application for admission in the course. Any application submitted with NOC of competent authority will not be considered eligible for various benefits under this policy.

M. Sc. (N)

For M.Sc. Nursing Course:-

i. The candidate should have attained the age of 22 years as on 31 dec

ii. The candidate must have passed the following examinations:

  1. Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from any Indian Nursing Council recognized Nursing College and in case of SC/ST/BC category candidates minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  2. Must be registered Nurse & Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  3. Must have a minimum of one year of work experience of the recognized institute after B.Sc.Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing Honors or must have a minimum of one year of work experience of the recognized institute after or prior to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. The work experience will be calculated from the date of registration in the parent Council till the last date of submission of the form.
  4. A candidate desirous of seeking admission will have to produce NOC from the State Government/University of Health Sciences, Rohtak before the Admission Committee for admission in the course.

For Nurse Practitioner Critical Care Programme (NPCC)

  1. The Candidate must possess a registered B.Sc./PB B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of one year of Clinical experience, preferably in any critical care setting prior to enrolment.
  2. Must have undergone the B.Sc. Nursing/PB.B.Sc. Nursing in an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  3. Must have scored not less than 55% aggregate marks in the B.Sc. program/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme.
  4. A selection must be based on the merit of an entrance examination. e) A candidate desirous to seek admission will have to obtain an NOC from the State/Government/University of Health Sciences, Rohtak before submitting their application for admission in the course. Any application submitted without the NOC of the competent authority will not be considered eligible for various benefits under this policy.

Process of admission:-

  • The admissions under all categories will be made on the basis of the merit of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test conducted by Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.
  • A candidate for admission to B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing, admission under Nurse Practitioner Critical Care Programme (NPCC) Courses in Government Nursing Institutions and Open Merit Category (State quota) Seats in Private Institutions will be eligible if he/she is a citizen of India and is a bonafide resident of Haryana.
  • All candidates (General/SC/ST/BC-A/BC-B/Benchmark disabilities) desirous of seeking admissions in any category of seats should fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria/qualifications/ qualifying criteria as prescribed in the prospectus issued by Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak for the Academic year
  • The candidate shall have to submit all documents, in original, at the time of counseling without which admission to B.SC Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Critical Care Programme (NPCC) course shall not be granted. Attested photocopies of certificates/documents will not be considered valid for the purpose of admission.
  • For the Management category, candidates from All Over India shall be eligible, irrespective of their State of domicile and place of study.

Procedure for Admission to State Quota seats in Government and Open Merit category seats (State quota seats) in Private Aided/Unaided Nursing Colleges located in the State of Haryana:-

(i)The admissions under the seeking admission above-stated categories will be made on the basis of the Common entrance test conducted by Pt. B.D.Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.
(ii)The relative merit, among such candidates desirous of seeking admission under CET between common under CET two shall be drawn as per the merit of the under common Entrance Test conducted by the University.
(iii)Candidates applying on the basis of CET should fulfill the eligibility criteria for being granted between two admissions as fixed under CET 2020.
(iv)In case of a tie between two or more candidates having equal Marks/Merit, in the entrance exam, the inter-se-Biology in the ranking of such candidates shall be determined as follows:-
a)

For B.Sc. Nursing Course:-

  1. A candidate with higher aggregate marks in Biology in the respective qualifying examination will be ranked higher.
  2. If there is a tie then a candidate having higher marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB)will be ranked higher in merit.
  3. Still, if there is higher a tie then a candidate older in age will be ranked higher in merit.
b)

For Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course:-

  1. A candidate with mop-up higher aggregate marks in General Nursing & Midwifery including internship will be ranked higher.
  2. Still, if there is a tie then a candidate older in age will be ranked higher nursing honor's in merit.
c)

For M.Sc. Nursing Course:-

  1. A candidate with higher aggregate marks in B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing honors/Post Basic B.Sc. The nursing course will be ranked higher.
  2. Still, if there is a tie then a candidate older in age will be ranked higher in merit referred.
d)

For Nurse Practitioner Critical Care Programme (NPCC)

  1. A candidate with higher aggregate marks in B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing honors/Post Basic B.Sc. The nursing course will be ranked higher.
  2. Still, if there is a tie then a candidate older in age will be ranked higher in merit referred.
(v)Personal appearance of the Candidates along with all original documents in front of the Admission Committee at Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak shall be compulsory.
In case there is a vacancy after the first round of counseling due to any reason, such seats will be filled up during the second round of counseling by the same process. However, if the seats still remain vacant even after the two rounds of counseling then leftover seats will be filled up as per directions of the State Government and as per procedure notified by the State Government.
Seats remaining vacant under the open merit category (State Quota) in Private Colleges after two rounds of counseling, will be converted to Management Category seats during mop up round and filled up as per procedure notified by the State Government. mop-up

Process for Admission to Management Category seats in Private Nursing Colleges of Haryana:-

Similar procedure as followed for counseling of B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Critical Care Programme (NPCC) courses for filling up State Quota seats in Government/Private Aided, Nursing Colleges and Open Merit Category seats in Private Nursing Colleges as described under Government and Open Merit category seats (State quota seats) above will be followed for admissions to Management Category seats also. However, the merit shall be drawn on the basis of Merit of CET- 2020 for all candidates.

Admission to NRI Category (NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/Foreign National:-

All admissions under NRI category seats shall be as per merit of CET-2020. Only CET qualified candidates shall be eligible under NRI category. PIOs, OCIs, and Foreign Nationals who are NEET qualified can also apply under the NRI category, however for admission under NRI quota Foreign Nationals shall be considered only for any vacant seat left after exhausting the list of NRIs/PIOs/OCIs.

Admission To B.Sc. Nursing (Government Seat):

-Admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses will be made on the basis of the merit of Common EntranceTest B.Sc. NURSING/B.P.T/B.Sc. OPTOMETRY…….

-Medium of Examination

The medium of the Entrance Examination will be English.

-Scheme of Examination: The Entrance examination shall consist of one paper of three hours duration-The paper will include objective-type questions.

-Number of Questions and Maximum Marks

(i) There will be a total of 180 objective-type questions (in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany&Zoology )preferably equally distributed.

(ii) The paper shall carry a maximum of 180 Marks.

(iii) There will be No Negative Marking.

Admission to the above courses will be made on the basis of the merit of the Common Entrance Test P.B.B.Sc./ M.Sc. Nursing

-SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

1)Timings :

  • P.B.B.Sc. Nursing : 3 hours
  • M.Sc. Nursing : 3 hours
  • NPCC Course : 3 hours

2. The medium of Examination: The medium of the Entrance Examination will be English.

Nursing-2 Years course- Three hours duration – 180 MCQ questions (180 marks) - subjects (Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Pediatrics Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing & Obst & Gynea., Nursing Research &Statistics, Nursing Education &Administration &General knowledge current affairs. -
  • NPCC Course- Entrance Exam on the basis of a B.Sc. (N) Syllabus (180 Marks) MCQ. Subject- Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition & Biochemistry, Nursing Fundamental, Psychology, Microbiology, English Computer, Sociology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pathology, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Research & Statistics, Obs. & Guyane., Management & Nursing Service & Education etc.
