Introduction:
Admission to the B.Sc Nursing course in Maharashtra is conducted through the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHTCET) in Government and Private Colleges across the state. Selection is based on merit and the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must be Indian citizens, they should have passed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, securing a minimum of 45% marks for the general category and 40% for reserved categories. Additionally, candidates must obtain at least 50 percentile for Open category in the MH-Nursing CET, while those from reserved categories require a minimum of 40 percentile. The minimum age requirement is 17 years (born on or before 31st December 2007), with no upper age limit.

Candidates must be Indian citizens (proof required) and within the maximum age limit of 45 years (General) or 50 years (Reserved). They must have passed the HSC (12th) exam from the Maharashtra Board or an equivalent recognized institution with English as a subject. Maharashtra domicile is mandatory, with a certificate signed by the competent authority. Applicants must have completed GNM Nursing from an INC & MNC-recognized institute and hold a valid Maharashtra Nursing Council registration (renewed till 2027).
For government in-service candidates, five years of continuous service is required, along with a work experience certificate. Selection is based on aggregate marks in the General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course. In case of a tie, preference is given based on HSC marks, SSC marks, and seniority by age, respectively.
