CoursesEligibility Criteria

They should have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as mandatory subjects, securing a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2025. Additionally, the entrance exam is typically open only to female candidates, while male and transgender applicants may be eligible under the management quota.
M.Sc NursingCandidates must hold a B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, or B.Sc Hons Nursing degree from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) . Applicants should be registered nurses and midwives with the State Nursing Council. A minimum of one year of work experience after completing the basic B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing is typically required. Additionally, candidates must qualify in the CG M.Sc Nursing Entrance Examination (CG MSCN) conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board.
PB B.Sc NursingCandidates must be Indian citizens and possess a domicile certificate of Chhattisgarh. Applicants should have completed the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and must be registered as a nurse and midwife with the State Nursing Council. There is no specific age limit mentioned for this program. Admission is granted based on the candidate's performance in the Chhattisgarh Post Basic Nursing Entrance Examination (CG PBN), conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board.
GNMCandidates must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% marks (35% for SC/ST candidates). The qualifying examination should include English as a mandatory subject. Admission is typically based on merit, determined by the candidates' performance in the qualifying examination. The application process is conducted online, and candidates are advised to regularly check the official website of the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board
ANMCandidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% marks. The qualifying examination should include English as a mandatory subject. Admission is generally based on merit, determined by the candidates' performance in the qualifying examination. The application process is conducted online, and candidates should regularly visit the official website of the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board

Important Instructions:

The online application and registration process will be available only before the first round of counseling. All eligible candidates who wish to take admission must complete this application and registration process. If these registered applicants are not included in the counseling process and seats remain vacant even after that, then new registration may be conducted as per the decision of the authority. Candidates who do not complete the online application process and fail to register for counseling within the stipulated deadline will be considered ineligible for counseling.

At the time of application/registration, candidates should keep ready the necessary documents such as:

  1. Domicile certificate
  2. Caste certificate (if applicable)
  3. Defense/Ex-servicemen certificate
  4. OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate
  5. Residence certificate
  6. Class 10th marksheet
  7. Birth certificate
  8. Class 12th marksheet
  9. Migration certificate
  10. Transfer certificate

First Round of Counseling

  1. For the first round of counseling, candidates will be registered with essential basic information. This will include a non-refundable application fee for eligible candidates.
  2. Candidates will be provided with the option to select desired seats and colleges, where they can fill their choices based on their priority.
  3. The choice-filling option for the first round will remain open for a limited time only, after which it will be locked. The last date of application will be considered as the date of locking. If not locked manually, the choices will be auto-locked on the final date.
  4. Once choices are locked, they will not be changed under any circumstances and the allotment will be made strictly as per merit and available seats.
  5. Based on the filled choices and merit list, the result of the first round of counseling will be published.
  6. In case of admission to Government Nursing Colleges:
    (a) Admission to Government Nursing Colleges is mandatory. Not taking admission after allotment will disqualify the candidate from the entire counseling process.
    (b) The allotted candidate must physically appear at the concerned institution for document verification. If the candidate does not wish to take admission, they must submit a refusal letter at the institution. Otherwise, the admission will be considered final and the candidate will not be eligible for further rounds.
  7. In case of admission to Private Nursing Colleges:
    (i) Admission to Private Colleges is not mandatory. However, document verification is necessary. Failing to do so will disqualify the candidate from the entire counseling process.
    (ii) The allotted candidate must physically appear at the concerned institution for document verification.
  • (a) If the candidate wishes to take admission in the private college and is found eligible after verification, they must pay the determined fee and complete the admission process. If they also want to participate in the second round, they must select the "Willing for Second Round" option during admission.
  • (b) If the candidate does not want to take admission in the private college, they must appear in person and decline the admission. Otherwise, they will not be eligible to participate in the second round and will not be considered for admission to the same institution in the second round.

Second Round of Counseling

  1. The result of the second round of counseling will be declared based on the merit list and the preferences previously submitted by the candidates for the seats left vacant after the first round of counseling.
  2. In the second round, new preferences cannot be submitted. The rest of the process will be the same as in the first round of counseling.

Mop-Up Round of Counseling

  1. The preferences previously submitted by the candidates will be considered null and void. In the mop-up round, candidates must submit new preferences. Those who do not submit new preferences will not be allotted any seat in the mop-up round, regardless of their rank, and will be excluded from the mop-up round.
  2. The result of the mop-up round will be declared based on the merit list and the newly submitted preferences by the candidates for the seats remaining vacant after the second round of counseling.
  3. In the mop-up round, new registration is not allowed. The rest of the process will be the same as in the previous rounds of counseling.
  4. All candidates allotted seats in the mop-up round will be considered ineligible for further rounds of counseling.

Stray Round Counseling

  1. If seats remain vacant after the mop-up round, stray round counseling will be conducted as per the rules.
