Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada provides guidelines for admission into the 4-year BSc Nursing program under the Competent Authority Quota. Admissions are based on AP EAPCET-2024 ranks. Candidates must follow the online application process and stay updated via https://drntr.uhsap.in for notifications and schedules.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidates must meet the AP EAPCET-2024 cut-off percentile as per Indian Nursing Council regulations for B.Sc. Nursing admission. The qualifying percentile is 50% (OC), 40% (SC/ST/BC/PwD), and 45% (OC-PwD). Applicants must be Indian Nationals, PIOs, or OCIs and fulfill Andhra Pradesh's residency requirements. Both male and female candidates are eligible, with specific colleges admitting males as per G.O.Ms.No.306, HM&FW (K2) Dept., 2006.

Candidates must be 17 years old by 31.12.2024, with no upper age limit. They must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board or Intermediate Vocational with a Bridge Course. OC candidates need 45% in Science subjects, while SC/ST/BC candidates need 40%. English is mandatory. Students must be medically fit.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS IN RESPECT OF CANDIDATES WHOSE DOMICILE OF ANDHRA PRADESH / TELANGANA

The candidate shall satisfy Local / Non-local status as per G.O.P.No.646, Education (W1) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and Presidential order. The procedure indicated in the above G.O. for Selection of candidates as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18-05-2009 shall be followed.

The Non-local candidates are eligible for 15% Unreserved seats only. The Local candidates are eligible for both 15% unreserved seats and 85% local area seats.

The verification fee and registration fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted to a future date. Therefore, candidates are advised to check eligibility conditions thoroughly before applying for Competent Authority seats.

RESERVATION IN FAVOUR OF THE LOCAL CANDIDATES :-

Admission to 85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favor of the Local 646, Edu. (W1) Department, dt.10-7-1979.

State-wide colleges:

Admission into State-wide college, the 36% of OU Region seats shall be distributed among Andhra & SVU Regions as per Merit.

Registration & Fee Payment

  • Fee for OC candidates: ₹2360 (₹2000 + GST ₹360) + Bank charges extra.
  • Fee for BC/SC/ST candidates: ₹1888 (₹1600 + GST ₹288) + Bank charges extra.
  • Note: The fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted for other courses.

  • Candidates must upload original certificates for determining merit under Andhra Pradesh State Competent Authority Quota (APEAPCET-2024 ranks).
