The Narayan Swami College Of Nursing, Dehradun is a Private College, his College is Approved by Indian Nursing Council (http://www.indiannursingcouncil.org/) New Delhi and Affiliated to State Medical Faculty, Dehradun, Uttarakhand Nurses and Midwives Council and Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University Uttarakhand. Established in 2007, Narayan Swami College of Nursing has established itself as a pioneer in nursing education along with care of individuals, families and communities so that they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life. The College has a unique curriculum and plan of care, working collaboratively with physicians, therapists, the patient, the patients’ family and other team members.
We envisage training of Advanced Practice Nurses such as Clinical Nurse Specialists and Nurse Practitioners who would be able to diagnose health problems and dispense medications and provide other therapies, as advised by other members of a health care team, such as therapists, medical practitioners and dietitians..

Admission to state quota seats in ANM, GNM, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, NPCC Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, and Paramedical courses in Uttarakhand will be conducted through online counseling based on the merit of the Entrance Exam-2024 results. Candidates can only apply for the course(s) they appeared for in the state-level written entrance exam, and only those who took the relevant exam for a specific course will be eligible for admission through the counseling process.
The admission process for ANM, GNM, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, NPCC Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, and Paramedical programs in Uttarakhand will be conducted entirely through online counseling. All details regarding the counseling process, dates, and schedule will be published on the university website www.hnbumu.ac.in through various links. No separate information or Call Letters will be sent to candidates individually. Future updates, important notices, and counseling-related information will also be posted on the university website. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the website, as no separate Call Letters will be issued. Only candidates who have appeared for the Uttarakhand ANM, GNM, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, NPCC Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, and Paramedical Entrance Exam – 2024 will be eligible for admission. The exam results will determine the merit-based admission to state quota seats. Admission to private institutions will also follow the same entrance exam and merit list. During the choice-filling process, candidates can select their preferred institutions. Admission will be granted based on merit, seat availability, and candidate preferences during counseling. Candidates are advised to carefully consider their course choices and institutions before submitting their preferences.

Candidates who have qualified for multiple programs will be allowed to participate in the counseling process for all relevant courses based on their exam results. Admission will be granted according to the merit list of the specific course. The counseling fee is non-refundable, even if the candidate fails to secure admission. Candidates must frequently check the university website for the latest information regarding counseling and admission processes. During document verification, candidates must upload the required documents online. If any document is found invalid or incorrect, the candidate’s application may be rejected. In case of discrepancies or technical issues during online counseling, candidates must immediately contact the university helpdesk. Admission will be granted strictly based on merit and seat availability.
Seat Upgradation and Admission Cancellation: If a candidate is allotted a seat in the first round of counseling but is later upgraded to a different seat in the subsequent rounds, they must report to the new institute within the given time. If the candidate fails to report to the upgraded seat, their admission will be canceled, and the previous seat will also be forfeited. The candidate will have no right to claim the previous seat again.
Final Admission Process: If a candidate is not allotted a seat in the first round, they can participate in subsequent counseling rounds. Candidates must register and pay the fee again for the next rounds. Admission to GNM, ANM, and Paramedical courses will be strictly based on merit.
Admission Cancellation by Candidate: If a candidate is allotted a seat in the first round but decides to withdraw, they must submit a written application to the institute. The counseling registration fee is non-refundable. The candidate will lose their claim to the seat once it is canceled.
Fee Payment: Candidates must pay the admission fee within the given timeframe. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
Final Seat Allotment: The final seat allotment will be based on merit, reservation policies, and seat availability. Candidates must follow the counseling schedule strictly, as no exceptions will be made. Candidates are advised to carefully read and follow all the rules and guidelines during the counseling process to avoid any issues.
Mandatory Registration and Choice Locking: To participate in each round of counseling, candidates must register online and lock their preferred choices. Failing to do so will disqualify them from participating in the counseling round.
Document Submission at the Allotted Institute: Candidates allotted a seat must report to the institute with all required original documents and submit the admission fee. Candidates must download the allotment letter online and present it at the institute. Failure to report within the specified timeframe will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat. The seat will be allocated to the next eligible candidate based on merit.
Category Change Request: If a candidate wants to change their category, sub-category, or reservation status, they must submit a written request to the counseling board. No changes in category, sub-category, or reservation will be allowed after the counseling process has started.
