Admission to the first year of professional graduate-level courses such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Paramedical Graduate courses of Public Health Institutes, B.Sc. Nursing, Pharmacy, Agricultural Science, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries Science, and other similar programmes in universities, colleges, and institutes of the State where State Government nomination is required will be made on the basis of merit-cum-choice. The merit list will be prepared from the results of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE)-2025, conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB), which is constituted by the Government of Bihar.
Eligibility: The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts the entrance exam for B.Sc Nursing admission in Bihar. To be eligible, candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects and should secure at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in PCB. The applicant must be at least 17 years old as on 31 December of the admission year, be an Indian citizen, and generally possess a Bihar domicile certificate for state quota seats. Candidates should also be medically fit as required by the admission authorities.

Application Form, Prospectus and Examination Fee: Candidates appearing for BCECE-2025 can obtain the prospectus by downloading it from the Board's website: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. To fill the online application, candidates should go to the Board's website and click on the "Online Application Portal of BCECE-2025" link and then click on the "Apply Online for BCECE-2025" button. After this, the instructions for filling the application form will appear, candidates should read and understand them carefully.
| 1. | Step-One (Registration): For registration for this examination, the candidate will have to fill all the information correctly in the application form displayed on the computer screen under Step-One. While registering, the candidate should keep in mind that he/she should use only his/her or his/her father's/mother's email address and mobile number, because all the information related to registration will be sent to that email address and mobile number only. To verify the mobile number and email address given by the candidate, separate verification code will be sent on both the above, which will have to be verified by the candidate by entering the verification code while registering. Mobile No. and After successful registration after verification of email address, under no circumstances will the Mobile No. and email address be changed during the entire session. After successful registration, the candidate will receive a notification regarding successful registration on his/her registered Mobile No. and email address, in which his/her Registration Number will be mentioned. After this, the candidate will login to his/her account to fill and submit the application online completely, for which he/she will enter his/her Registration Number and the Password given during registration and click on "Sign In" button and complete the further process. The candidate should keep the Password given by him/her during registration confidential, otherwise the Board will not be responsible for any kind of problem. |

| 3. | Step-Three (Application Preview & Final Submit): Candidates should carefully check the information provided in Step One and Step Two. If, during verification, the information entered in any Step is found to be incorrect, they should click the Back to Edit button, correct the information, and then click the Save & Continue button to update the information they provided. If the incorrect information is found to be correct after previewing the filled-in application form, then give your declaration and click on the Final Submit & Proceed to Payment button, so that the process of depositing the examination counselling fee is completed as per Step-Four. If the candidate submits the final filled data but does not deposit the examination counselling fee, then his/her application will be considered incomplete and the application will be rejected. |
| 4. | Step-Four (Payment of Examination/Counselling Fee): After previewing and submitting all the entries submitted by the candidate, click the Payment of Examination/Counselling Fee button and complete the payment process as directed on the computer screen. The examination counselling fee deposited will not be refunded.
Note: If the Examination or Counselling Fee amount is deducted from your account but the payment is unsuccessful, you must pay the required fee again within the prescribed time. Failure to repay the fee within the specified deadline will result in your application being considered incomplete, and you will not be eligible to participate in the examination or counselling process. | 5 | Step-Five (Download Confirmation Page): After making the payment by the date and time fixed by the Board, the candidate should download and print the Confirmation Page of the application form filled by him/her and keep it safe with him/her because it will contain all the entries filled by you and the Registration No. provided by the Board, which can be used by you at the time of counselling or in future. Note: Candidates are not required to send the confirmation page of the downloaded application form to the Board office; however, this document must be produced at the time of counselling, so it should be kept safely. After completing all procedures and finally submitting the online application form, no corrections or changes will be allowed. Once the application is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn, and any request for refund or chargeback of the examination fee will not be accepted. The Board will not be responsible for any issues related to internet, postal, or banking delays; therefore, candidates are advised to complete all application procedures well before the deadline. |

After affixing the printed photograph on the downloaded application form, the candidate must sign in full both in Hindi and English at the designated space. |
| iii. | Name and Address: Candidates must write their name and father's name in the designated fields of the application form and all attached documents exactly as they appear in the records of the Secondary Examination Board or equivalent institution. The permanent address provided should match the one mentioned in the applicant's residential certificate. |
| iv. | Reservation Category: The reservation category indicated by the applicant in the designated section of the online application form will be considered final for the purpose of examination and seat allotment. Once the application is submitted and accepted, no changes to the reservation category will be permitted. If an applicant fails to provide the required certificate supporting the claimed reservation category during counselling, or does not mention the reservation category in the specified field, they will be treated as belonging to the General (Unreserved - UR) category. The applicant will bear full responsibility for any loss of claim arising from errors, omissions, or negligence in this regard. |
| v. | Father/Guardian Details: Enter the name of the father or, if the father is deceased, the name of the legal guardian, along with their occupation and the name of the institution where they are employed. For example, if the father/guardian is employed in government service at MIT, Muzaffarpur (a State Government institution), you should write 'Government Service' as the occupation and 'MIT, Muzaffarpur' as the place of employment. Instructions regarding the Joint Entrance Competitive Examination: After verification of applications, eligible candidates can download their admit card from the official website of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board by visiting the portal and clicking on the Download Admit Card of BCECE-2025 link. Candidates can access and download the admit card by entering their Registration Number and Date of Birth or by logging in with their Email ID and Password. After downloading, candidates must carefully check all details on the admit card and report any errors to the Controller of Examinations at the Board office, IAS Sangh Bhawan near Patna Airport, Patna, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM on working days up to five days before the examination, as no corrections will be allowed afterward. Candidates must sign the admit card during the examination and in front of the invigilator in each shift. The question paper will be provided in both English and Hindi, and candidates must follow all instructions on the question booklet and OMR answer sheet, including writing the required passage in their own handwriting with a blue or black ballpoint pen and signing their full name in Hindi and English in the designated space, otherwise the answer sheet may be rejected.
After the Joint Entrance Competitive Examination: After the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE), candidates will be called for interview or counselling according to their respective merit lists, and the date, time, and venue will be announced on the official website of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. During counselling, candidates will be allowed to select their preferred institution and course from the available options based on merit-cum-choice, after which seat allotment orders will be issued according to available vacancies and the reservation rules of the Government of Bihar. Each institute will be treated as a separate unit for reserved category admissions, and once a candidate selects a seat but does not take admission or leaves it later, the same institute or course will not be re-allotted in subsequent counselling rounds. Final admission will be granted only after verification of original documents, identity confirmation, and medical examination within the prescribed time as per the allotment order. Candidates cannot claim admission due to any printing error in the result or merit list, and details regarding the admission fee to be deposited will be provided at the time of counselling.
Merit List: Separate merit lists will be prepared for the PCM and PCB groups based on the aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, respectively. Additionally, separate merit lists will be prepared for the Agricultural Groups, including Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science (CBA); Physics, Chemistry and Agricultural Science (PCA); Mathematics, Biology and Agricultural Science (MBA); and Mathematics, Chemistry and Agricultural Science (MCA). The available seats for the courses specified under clauses 4.3.2 (a) and 4.3.2 (d) will be filled on the basis of merit-cum-option from the merit list prepared using aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, while seats under clauses 4.3.2 (b) and 4.3.2 (d) will be filled from the merit list based on aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Furthermore, 50% of the seats in the courses mentioned under clause 4.3.2 (c) will be filled from the merit list prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in Chemistry, Biology, and Agricultural Science.
Eligibility Criteria:
GNM Nursing: The GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course, regulated by the Indian Nursing Council, requires candidates to have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks, and English must be a compulsory subject. Students from Science (PCB) are generally preferred, but Arts and Commerce students are also eligible in many states. The minimum age for admission is 17 years as of 31st December of the admission year, and the maximum age is usually 35 years, with relaxation for reserved categories as per government rules. Candidates must also be medically fit and may need to provide a medical fitness certificate. Admission is typically based on merit in the 12th examination or through a state-level entrance exam, depending on the state guidelines.
ANM Nursing: For admission to ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board, generally in any stream, with the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the Board (with relaxation for reserved categories). Applicants must be at least 17 years of age, be medically fit, and usually fulfill Bihar domicile requirements as notified for the admission year. Selection is typically based on merit and counselling conducted by the Board according to the applicable reservation rules.
Eligibility Criteria: For admission to Post Basic B.Sc Nursing through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, candidates must have completed GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from a recognized institute and must be registered as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN/RM) with the State Nursing Council. Applicants should meet the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the Board, be medically fit, and satisfy domicile or other eligibility requirements as notified for the admission year, with selection generally based on merit and counselling conducted by the Board.
Eligibility Criteria :For admission to M.Sc Nursing through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, candidates must have completed B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution with the required minimum marks (generally around 55%, with relaxation for reserved categories). Applicants must be registered as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN/RM) with the State Nursing Council, and many institutions also require clinical work experience after graduation. Candidates must be medically fit and meet domicile and other eligibility conditions prescribed by the Board, with final selection typically based on merit and counselling.
