B.Sc Nursing:

B.Sc Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate Nursing course in the domain of medical nursing. This course focuses on reinstating health and providing care to the sick. The B. Sc Nursing syllabus consists of various subjects of study such as Nutrition, Mental Health Nursing, Child Care Nursing, Anatomy, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Nursing Research and Statistics amongst many others.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission criteria for B.Sc Nursing Course are as follows:

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.
2. The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of:

Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course),

Or

Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examination (10+2)

Or

An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English.

1. A candidate should have passed in subjects of PCB (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination. i.e. 10+2.
2. English is a Compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B. Sc. Nursing.
3. The candidate shall be medically fit.
4. 5% relaxation on total marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates may be given.

Entrance / Selection Test

Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit of the Pre B.Sc. Nursing entrance examination held by the University or competent authority of Chhattisgarh.

M. Sc Nursing

M. Sc Nursing is a postgraduate course in theories and principles of nursing and allied sciences. A candidate has to be a B.Sc. / P.B.B.Sc Graduate in Nursing from a recognized university in order to be eligible for this course. M.Sc. Nursing is a two year Post Graduate program which specializes in many branches like Medical & Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing, and Mental Health Nursing. M.Sc. Nursing graduates can obtain jobs in Multi-speciality Hospitals, Private and Government Hospitals, Academic and Research center, Nursing Homes, old-age homes, Armed Forces. Eligibility Criteria

Admission criteria for M. Sc Nursing are as follows:

1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
2. The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
3. The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
4. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
5. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing.
6. The candidate shall be medically fit.
