Shova Rani Nursing College was established in 2005 with a capacity of 50 student intake offering B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing This College is affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The college is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council Delhi, and West Bengal Nursing Council. The college provides good infrastructure facilities such as libraries, Laboratories, Cafeteria, Modern equipment, and a Computer facility. it has professionally trained and highly qualified faculty. Additional campus facilities such as Academic Zone, Auditorium, Canteen, Computer Lab, and Convo Hall, Counselling, Hospital, Theatre, Library, and Medical Facilities are also there. The college offers undergraduate courses in B.Sc. Nursing. In September 2020, the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing program was introduced, also approved by the Indian Nursing Council and affiliated with the same university. The college is committed to providing high-quality, internationally benchmarked nursing education, focusing on competency-based learning and skill development.

JENPAS2025-UG (Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical, and Allied Sciences) will conduct counseling for B.Sc. Nursing admission in West Bengal

WBJEEB will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Test JENPAS(UG)-2025 for admission in various Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal for the academic session 2025-26.

Eligibility criteria : Under JENPAS (UG)-2025, admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course in Government colleges is restricted to female candidates only. In private colleges, female candidates are generally eligible for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course; however, a few private colleges are exclusively designated for male candidates. For all other courses under JENPAS (UG)-2025, both male and female candidates are eligible for admission in both Government and private colleges.

Papers and ranks:

• Candidates appearing in both paper-I and paper-II are eligible for both General Merit Rank (GMR) as well as BHA Merit Rank (BMR). Such candidates will be considered for admission in all courses including BHA.
• Candidates appearing only in paper-I are eligible for GMR only. Such candidates are considered for admission in all courses except in BHA.
• Candidates appearing only in paper-II are eligible for BMR only. Such candidates are considered for admission in BHA only.

Pattern of Question Papers :

• The test will consist of two papers namely, Paper-I and Paper-II.
• Paper-II is for admission in BHA course only and Paper-I is for other courses.
• During application, a candidate can apply for only Paper-I or only Paper-II or for both.
• Paper-I will have the following structure.

F. All questions will be of Multiple- Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four answer options. Time for each paper is 1½ hours. The questions will be in both English and Bengali language (except Basic English, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge).

Counselling/seat allotment and provisional admission : “A separate notification detailing the counselling, seat allotment, and admission procedure will be published on the Board’s website shortly after the declaration of results. The course-wise and institute-wise seat availability, as provided by the Competent Authorities, will also be published prior to the commencement of counselling and seat allotment.

Procedure for submission of application form, payment of examination fees :

1. Registration: Candidates are required to enter personal details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, identification type and number, present and permanent address, mobile number, email ID, and other relevant information. Special care must be taken while entering the name, parents’ names, date of birth, and domicile, as these details cannot be changed or modified under any circumstances. Candidates must then create a password, select a security question and answer, review the information, and submit the registration. Upon submission, an application number will be generated and displayed on the screen, and will also be sent via SMS/email. Candidates must securely remember their application number, password, and security question/answer, as password recovery is only possible through the “Forgot Password” option. No person or agency can change or modify any information without the password, and the Board shall not be responsible for any consequences arising from sharing or disclosure of the password.
2. Application: At this stage, candidates are required to provide additional information, including domicile, category, PwD status, family income, religion, nationality, and academic qualifications. They must also select their examination preference: (i) Paper-I only, (ii) Paper-II only, or (iii) both Paper-I and Paper-II. Afterward, candidates should choose their preferred examination zones in order of priority and submit the application.
3. Uploading of images : Candidates are required to upload scanned JPG/JPEG images of their recent color photograph (10–200 kB) and signature (4–30 kB). All required documents must be uploaded together in a single session.
4. Payment of Examination Fees: The examination fee can be paid only through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or QR Code. For candidates appearing in only Paper-I or only Paper-II, the fee is ₹500 (₹400 for SC/ST/OBC-Category-A [More Backward]/OBC-Category-B [Backward]/EWS candidates), plus applicable bank service charges. For candidates appearing in both Paper-I and Paper-II, the fee is ₹800 (₹650 for SC/ST/OBC-Category-A [More Backward]/OBC-Category-B [Backward]/EWS candidates), plus applicable bank service charges. The fee, once paid, is non-refundable under any circumstances.
5. Confirmation Page : Upon successful completion of all the above steps, the candidate will be directed to download the ‘Confirmation Page,’ which signifies that the application process is complete. The application will be considered incomplete until the Confirmation Page has been generated.
6. Correction of application form : No corrections are allowed for primary registration details, including the candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, domicile, and date of birth. Candidates wishing to modify any other information in their application may do so by logging in during the specified correction period. The Board will not entertain any requests for corrections beyond this period and will not make any changes on behalf of any candidate under any circumstances.

Ranking Methodology and Merit Lists: WBJEEB will prepare merit ranks based on the candidates’ score in the Common Entrance Test. Individual candidates will be able to view and download his/her Rank Card, which will contain score and rank. WBJEEB does not publish any rank/score list for public to ensure confidentiality to each individual candidate.

Based on the papers (subjects) appeared for and the marks scored, two separate Merit Ranks shall be generated in the following method:

1. General Merit Rank: (GMR) A General Merit Rank (GMR) shall be prepared based on the marks obtained in Paper-I, with candidates ranked in descending order of their scores. In the event of a tie, the tie-breaking criteria specified in Clause 2.8 shall be applied. In addition to the GMR, separate category-wise merit positions such as SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, EWS Rank, PwD Rank, etc., shall also be indicated wherever applicable. Admission to all courses, except BHA, shall be strictly based on the GMR, and the sequence for counselling, seat allotment, and admission shall follow the GMR only, irrespective of category ranks. Category-wise ranks are provided solely for information to candidates belonging to the respective categories.
2. BHA Merit Rank: (BMR) A BHA Merit Rank (BMR) shall be prepared exclusively on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-II, with candidates ranked in descending order of their scores. In case of a tie, the tie-breaking criteria prescribed in Clause 2.8 shall be applied. Separate category-wise merit positions, such as SC, ST, OBC-Category-A (More Backward), OBC-Category-B (Backward), PwD, EWS, etc., shall also be indicated wherever applicable. Admission to the BHA course and the sequence of seat allotment shall be strictly based on the BMR alone, and not on category-wise ranks, which are provided only for informational purposes to candidates belonging to the respective categories.
3. Category ranks: Category ranks are generated based on the category information given by the candidates during online application, but documents are verified during counselling/ admission. Hence, candidate’s certificates/ documents/ proofs must be valid as on the date of verification. If during verification, any candidate’s claim is found invalid at that time, his/her category rank will be cancelled, and the candidate will be considered in general category. Category ranks of other candidates will not be revised.

Document verification: Admit cards and rank cards are issued solely on the basis of the information provided by the candidates, and all verifications are conducted by the allotted institute during and after the counselling process. Candidates should not presume that the personal details mentioned in the admit card or rank card have been approved or verified by the Board. If, during document verification, any information furnished by a candidate is found to be incorrect, incomplete, or unsupported by valid certificates or documents as per the applicable rules on the date of verification, such information shall be corrected or modified accordingly, which may render the candidate ineligible for some or all seats or courses. Furthermore, if at any stage during or after counselling it is discovered that any information or document submitted by the candidate is false or incorrect, the candidature shall be liable to cancellation, even if the candidate has secured a merit rank and/or has been allotted a seat. Therefore, securing a rank does not confer any right or guarantee of admission unless all prescribed eligibility criteria are duly fulfilled.
