West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Test (JEPBN2024) for admission in the academic session 2024-25 in Post Basic Nursing (PBN) course in Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal.

Pattern of Question Papers

The paper will contain 100 questions. All questions will be of Multiple- Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four answer options each, of which only one option is correct. Time for the paper is 90 minutes. The questions will be in English language only.

Scoring Methodology

Each correct response earns 1 mark, while an incorrect response results in a -¼ (25%) negative mark. If multiple options are selected for a question, even if one is correct, it will be considered incorrect and receive -¼ marks. Unattempted questions receive 0 marks.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidates must be Indian citizens and domiciles of West Bengal, with both male and female candidates eligible. For admission, they must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board, completed the GNM course from an INC-recognized institute, and obtained an RNRM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any Indian state. The maximum age limit for West Bengal State Government employees is 53 years, while there is no upper age limit for others, including ESI and Central Government employees.

Procedure for Application Submission & Fee Payment for PB B.Sc Nursing (JEPBN2024)

1. Registration

  • The candidate will enter personal details such as, name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, identification type and number, present and permanent address, mobile number, email ID etc.
  • Candidates must be careful while entering name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, and domicile. This information cannot be changed/edited/modified under any circumstances.
  • Then the candidate has to create password, review and submit the registration.
  • An application number will be generated and will appear on the screen. Also, SMS/email will be sent to the candidate.
  • Candidate must remember his/her application number, password. If the candidate forgets the password/application number, he/she has to recover it through “Forgot Password/ Forgot Application number” option. There is no other way to recover the password/application number.
  • It is not possible for any person/agency to change/edit/input any information without knowing the password. Hence candidates must not share their password with anybody. The Board will not be responsible for any change resulting from sharing/ divulging of the password.

2. Application

  • Fill in additional details like domicile, category, PwD status, religion, nationality, and academics.

3. Uploading Images

  • Upload JPG/JPEG images of a recent color photo (10-200 KB) and signature (4-30 KB) together.

4. Payment of Examination Fees

  • Pay online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, UPI, QR Code.
  • Fee: ₹3000 (+bank charges).
  • Non-refundable under any circumstances.

5. Exam Centre Allocation

  • Exam will be held only in Kolkata - Salt Lake/New Town zone.

JEMScN2024 will conduct counseling for M.Sc. Nursing admission in West Bengal

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Test (JEMScN2024 ) for admission in the academic session 2024-25 in M. Sc. Nursing course in Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal.

Pattern of Question Papers

Syllabus:

The paper will be based on B.Sc./PB B.Sc. Nursing syllabus and will have two parts as follows. The topics and number of questions of the two parts are given below.

a) PART-A: Anatomy, Physiology, Sociology, Psychology, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Genetics, Administration, Education, Research & Statistics – 40 Q.
b) PART-B: Foundation of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetrical Nursing, Community Health Nursing – 60 Q.

To be eligible for JEMSCN-2024, applicants must be Indian citizens and can be of any gender. For admission, candidates must have completed B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, including distance education, from an INC-recognized institute and must possess an RNRM certificate. A minimum aggregate score of 55% is required. The age limit for WB State Government employees is a maximum of 53 years, while there is no upper age limit for other applicants, including ESI and Central Government employees. Regarding work experience, WB State Government employees must have at least three years of experience, whereas other candidates need a minimum of one year of experience.

JENPAS(UG) will conduct counseling for B.Sc. Nursing admission in West Bengal

WBJEEB conducts the OMR-based JENPAS(UG) exam for admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses in Government and Private Nursing colleges of West Bengal. Formerly known as JENPAUH, this exam is organized by WBJEEB on behalf of the Central Selection Committee (Nursing) under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal. Candidates seeking B.Sc. Nursing admission in West Bengal must appear for JENPAS.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
  • The minimum percentage required is 45% for General category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Candidates must be at least 17 years old

  • Candidates taking both Paper-I & Paper-II get GMR & BMR, eligible for all courses including BHA.

ANM(R) & GNM will conduct counseling for ANM and GNM admission in West Bengal

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Examination– ANM(R) & GNM-2024 for admission in various Govt./ Pvt./ Self-financed institutes in the State of West Bengal for the academic session of 2024-25, for two (2) years’ Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (Revised)course and three (3) years’ General Nursing & Midwifery course in.

Eligibility criteria:-

Students must be an Indian citizen and a domicile of West Bengal. They must have passed or be appearing for the Class 12 examination in the (10+2) system in 2024. Additionally, the applicant must be at least 17 years old as of July 31, 2024, meaning they should have been born on or before July 31, 2007.
