The following regulations govern the admission of students to the B.Sc. (Nursing) Four-Year Degree Course, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No. 41, HM&FW (C1) Department, dated 15.03.2023, and G.O.Rt.No. 634, dated 25.10.2024, HM&FW (C2) Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, and as per the Revised Regulations and Curriculum for the B.Sc. (Nursing) Programme, Regulations-2020, notified vide Gazette Notification No. 275 dated 05.07.2021 by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, applicable from the academic year 2023–24 onwards.

Eligibility criteria : Candidates must have passed the two-year Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, or an equivalent 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English as compulsory subjects, from a recognized board such as BIEAP, AISSCE/CBSE, ICSE, SSCE, HSCE, NIOS, APOSS, or any other equivalent board recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. Candidates who have completed Intermediate Vocational with a Bridge Course in Biological and Physical Sciences conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, are also eligible. English is mandatory at the 10+2 level as per the orders of the Secretary, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, vide Letter No. F.No.1-2/2014-INC and Circular No. F.No.1-6/2016-INC dated 21.09.2016. OC candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Science subjects, while SC, ST, and BC candidates must have secured a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in Science subjects.

WEB COUNSELING:- The notifications for exercising web options, procedure and applicable guidelines for admission into B.Sc. (Nursing) 4YD course will be issued separately and placed on the website http://drntr.uhsap.in from time to time.
VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS: The Head of the institution to which a candidate is allotted for admission shall verify the authenticity of the submitted documents and, upon being satisfied, direct the candidate to remit the prescribed fees and complete other admission formalities immediately. All selected candidates shall undergo a medical examination as directed by the Head of the concerned institution, and admission shall be subject to the candidate being declared medically fit.
MERIT LIST:- The merit lists shall be published on the University website (https://drntr.uhsap.in) after verification of the uploaded scanned copies of original certificates. Candidate eligibility shall be determined based on the scanned certificates/documents submitted online. Candidates claiming reservation under Special Categories, such as Persons with Disabilities (PH), are advised to regularly visit the University website for further notifications, if any, regarding the scrutiny and verification of original certificates pertaining to the respective special categories.

Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission to the Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) Two-Year Degree Course must have passed the two-year Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, or any other equivalent examination under the 10+2 pattern, including NIOS or APOSS, recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. The criteria for preparation of Merit List for admission into Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) 2-YD course:- The total percentage of marks obtained in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) shall be calculated up to two decimal places. Candidates who have qualified under the compartmental system shall be placed in the merit list after candidates who have passed in a single attempt. In the event of a tie in marks and aggregate percentage, age shall be considered as the deciding factor, with older candidates being placed higher in the merit list. If the tie still persists, the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in all subjects of the 10+2 qualifying examination, calculated up to two decimal places, shall be taken into consideration.
MERIT LIST:-The merit list shall be prepared based on the marks obtained in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), excluding Internship and Computer marks. The merit lists shall be published on the University website (https://drntr.uhsap.in) after verification of the uploaded scanned copies of original certificates. Candidate eligibility shall be determined based on the scanned certificates/documents submitted online. Candidates claiming reservation under Special Categories, such as Persons with Disabilities (PH), are advised to regularly visit the University website for further notifications, if any, regarding scrutiny and verification of original certificates pertaining to the respective special categories.
Note: The candidature of the applicant will not be considered for the course, if incomplete online application submitted or mandatory certificates/ documents as per regulations are not uploaded.
VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS: The Head of concerned institution to which the candidate is allotted for admission shall verify the authenticity of the documents, if satisfied shall direct the candidate to pay the fees, etc., immediately. All the candidates selected should undergo Medical Examination as directed by the Head of the institution concerned. The admission of the candidates shall be subject to their fitness in the medical examination.

APPLICATIONS THROUGH ONLINE: The online application forms shall be made available on the official website. Candidates must fill in the online application form using a desktop or laptop computer with an internet connection only. Candidates are advised to carefully read the prospectus in detail and, after confirming their eligibility, proceed to submit the correct Competent Authority Quota (CQ) online application form. All required certificates should be kept readily available to ensure accurate and complete entry of information. It is hereby informed that no request for refund or transfer of fee shall be entertained in cases where an incorrect application is submitted. No fresh applications shall be accepted after the notified cutoff date, and candidates will not be permitted to apply again until the completion of Phase-III (Mop-Up) counselling.

VERIFICATION OF CERTIFICATES: The eligibility of a candidate will be verified basing on the uploaded copies of scanned certificates/ documents. The candidates who are claiming reservation under Special Categories i.e., PwBD, have to watch the University website for further notifications, if any, for scrutiny of original certificates of respective special category.
Note: The candidature of the applicant will not be considered for admission into M.Sc.(Nursing) courses if not submitted the online application by uploading the scanned copies of required certificates/documents as per regulations. The eligibility and community verification will be done basing on the uploaded scanned original certificates.
MERIT LIST: The provisional merit position of candidates who have applied online in response to the notification issued by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences for admission to M.Sc. (Nursing) courses under the Competent Authority Quota shall be determined after verification of the uploaded certificates by the University and officials of the concerned departments, in accordance with the prescribed eligibility rules and regulations. After completion of verification of the data and certificates uploaded by the candidates, the University shall publish the final merit position of eligible candidates for exercising web options. The merit list shall be prepared based on the marks obtained in group subjects of B.Sc. (Nursing) / B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) (all group subjects), calculated up to two decimal places, excluding marks in Computer Science and English. As the merit list is prepared based on group subjects, candidates must enter the total marks excluding English and Computer Science, as applicable, while filling the online application form. In the event of a tie in aggregate marks, age shall be considered as the deciding factor, with older candidates being placed higher in the merit list.
